As an FYI in part 4 where you need to defeat the guardian and activate the lift, it is possible to bug the room if you try defeat the guardian before it becomes active.

OK, useful information here. You have to go into the instance. Once there, work your way up. Don't go through the place where lasers come from walls, go AROUND the sides and turn off lasers there.

When you get to the part about the lift console, here's what you have to do:

When you enter the chamber, the console you want is the first one on your left (at least, it was for me - may be random).
Approach that console and the objective will update. Now you need to power up the console.
At the other end of the room, you'll see a console that is getting two beams of energy/light from the pillars near it. Go to that one.
At the bottom of each pillar is a small console. Click the console to re-route the beam for that pillar.
Repeat Step 4 for each pillar, re-routing the beams until you get them both pointed at the lift console.

The beams redirect at 90-degree angles, and the overall puzzle is very similar to the ones in Legion where you had to move beams around to activate Leylines. You probably want to work your way back to the lift console (instead of doing one beam all the way, then the other... do both sides simultaneously), since when you do the last pillar the boss (Sun Prophet Tenhamen) will come out of the doors on the end where the beams originally were.

Once you've defeated Tenhamen, go back the way you came in and return to the lift to proceed.

If you are too slow after a while MOTHER intervenes and does it for you (i had a toddler have a meltdown in the middle of stage 6 and had to go AFK).

Takes quite a bit of time, I'd say at least 5 minutes but hey, if you don't feel like doing it yourself at least know you have MOTHER to bail you out :) You'll know it will happen once Magni says something along the lines of "why do these things have to be so convoluted".

I just got to stage 6 and the game dc'd. It took some time to get back in but when I did I was back outside the instance and had to start over.
That did not feel good!

Another DOH! to avoid, when using the lift you get a choice between the first and third floors. You select the third floor. Be aware that the lift stops at the second floor, wait for the lift to resume and don't get off there. If you exit on the second floor it's a dead end.

I just realized the text offering you a choice between the first and third floors is probably wrong, because you need to go up two floors to get where you want to go so you must be on the first floor now ( unelss there's a floor 2 & 1/2). The next time you come in here for a different quest it offers you a choice between the second and third floors. I'll send in a ticket.

You+ are able to skip this quest and the scenario on alts by accepting the quest and talking to Magni before going into the dungeon. It will auto-complete the objectives and you can get To Ramkahen to continue the story.

At the end of previous quest Magni says "I'll return tae the chamber and start figurin' out our next move." And then . . . . he accompanies you on this quest.

The accept speech is busted ass broken. Magni is supposed to say:

Magni Bronzebeard says: No time tae waste. We've got a titan forge tae reboot!

Instead, he says the intro for the next quest, To Ramkahen. It doesn't break quest functionality, but it's still annoying, and because the quest can still be taken, Blizz may never bother to fix it. And that seems to happen way too much with Activision Blizzard...

If you do this scenario on a toon that has the Gift of N'zoth, then when you kill the final boss and get temporarily possessed by N'zoth, this is what he says:

"Such misplaced zeal. Their eyes remain closed to the true path.
Not like you. My devoted chosen."

Apparently, if you have already completed this on one of your other characters, you can skip this. Simply talk to Magni before you enter the instance and tell him that you heard the take before and you just want to skip it. I personally have no problem doing this quest, but Sun Prophet Tenhamen is so OP, it was impossible to on a fresh 120.

This is a hard gear check for fresh 120s. Each enemy hits you for about 10% of your HP, and the first group has three of them. Fortunately, they don't respawn if you die, so you can bring a bunch of Auto-Hammers and brute-force your way through this quest. The scenario can supposedly be done in a group, but since most alts have the option to skip the scenario, good luck finding a group.

If you are having trouble skipping the quest make sure you are not in a party. I was in a party even though I had no other members on screen. Right click on your upper left face picture to leave party.

Just keep rerouting the leylines, if it takes to long Magni will summon Mother and she will fix the power..

When Magni leaves you after quest is done, a teleporter will appear in the opposite site of the lift and that leads to the entrance.

As of 9.1 (if not earlier), if you step on the "lift" floor near the bosses, you will fall right through to the ground and be unable to continue. Use ranged attacks only. If you fall through, abandon the quest and pick it back up.

Before entering the Halls of Origination, I'd advise setting your hearthstone at "Seat of Ramkahen" (54.75, 32.95). Once you are finished inside the Halls of Origination, you need to go there anyway.

PS: As some other people pointed out, I fell through the floor in stage 4 so I used long-range attacks (balance druid). Not sure what triggers the bug.

Caution with Patch 9.1.X+

Stand on very edge of Elevator, Do not attempt to stand on the glass looking parts, just the OUTER Metal/Gold appearing Edge. You will fall through, and have to teleport out and redo the entire part1-6 again, provided you do not fall through until the door gets unlocked. You can use the console and get to the third floor, and complete the scenario. DO NOT STAND IN MIDDLE OF ELEVATOR AT ALL. Using the very edge of the elevator will allow you to use console and move on. Good luck.

On Stage 4, I fell thru the lift and was not able to get back up. I was determined not to abandon the quest and start over. I used my hearthstone to get out, then made my way back in (took a minute, grr!). When I reentered, I was still at stage 4. When I tried to get to the spot to "Activate the lift", the door was closed. I ran all over trying to figure out how to proceed. Here's the easy thing to do: If you fall thru the lift, just abandon the quest and start all over. It puts you right back at the beginning where you accept the quest. When you get back to Stage 4, for the love of GOD, stay near the entrance and used a ranged shot, and stay off that platform haha!

Stage 5: No problems.

Stage 6: The comment by Sunreaver was very useful. It is not difficult. When done, a guy will run to you.

Stage 7: Kill the guy.

Final Stage: Go back to the room marked on map (where you fell thru the floor earlier haha). Press the lift control and choose Third Floor. If the lift leaves without you, because you were afraid to stand on the lift (hehe), press it again and choose First Floor, and the lift will return. Stand on the lift and go to third floor. Click the power terminals, and then the main console in the middle.

Quest is complete! Accept the next quest, then stand in the teleporter to return to the beginning.

So I completed this quest on my main and attempted to skip this on my alt. I was unable to skip the quest on my alt until I progressed further into the main questline on my main. I am not sure how far you need to go, but I once I received the legendary cloak and completed the vision, I was then able to skip the quest on my alt.

How to route power in the Vault of Lights:

Kill all mobs, both the patrolling and the camping.
Start routing power from the two furthest poles on the right or east (R4 and R3). The solar power come from these two.
Route the power from R4 to the furthest pole on the left or west (L4), then to L3, and L2.
Route the power from L2 to the elevator console.
Route the power from R3 to R2, R1, and then to L1.
Route the power from L1 to the elevator console.

Hooray!

I tried this minigame four times on different alts, before figuring out the above. In all attempts previous to the last one, I ran out of time, and Mother bailed me out.

Defeat the Amathet forces and reactivate the forge in the Halls of Origination.

Description

It looks like the Halls of Origination have been claimed by a group o' tol'vir calling themselves the Amathet. I don't know much about them other than they're new in town and not the friendliest of types. We'll need tae get in there and re-activate the forge, or else Azeroth will be done for!
