Akrrilo, Rendarr and Eyepiercer 3 Fang'rila Arena champions and Rumble in the Jungle objectives.

Here is how you can summon them:

Collect Blackfang Claw which drop from mobs in the Fang'rila area.

Buy Challenge Totem. Each totem can summon 1 champion:

All three quest mobs are open-tap, meaning you can just wait around for others to summon them as well.

Okay so I've killed all three champions atleast twice but I've got 0/1 on all of them.

Anyone have any idea why?

I am not in a raid group.

All three of them are soloable in heroic BRF gear. 687 elemental shaman, using Tormmok as a bodyguard. I didn't pop heroism on any of them, but I did use Artillery Strike and on all of them.

The only one that posed any sort of problem was Eyepiercer, since he has a fear which can't be interrupted or out-ranged. Have a cooldown ready and pop it right before hand (or have some fear removing ability ready), and you'll be all set.

this is a bit confusing because there is an achievement of the same name as the quest and they appear to be unrelated.

and it's annoying because the very desirable reward of getting a zone buff for more apexis to drop is not working...

So when I view this in the previous menu, where you pick between quest, achievement, etc. It says "Level 100 Weekly." Guess we have to wait til next week to see, unless someone from PTR can confirm.

For those of you who do not know, this is a daily quest that is not repeatable more than once. The first time you complete the quest you are rewarded with "king of the jungle" this does nothing, gives you no buff and is a complete slap in the face and a waste of time.

Tip To Save Your Earned Claws

Get a group together, all you have to do is tag the 3 NPC's, so only one person needs to buy the totems.

Or, if you are on a highly populated realm, just wait it out, someone will show up to do them and you can save yourself 40 claws for the other items to buy from the quartermaster.

July 1st, 2015 Hotfixes:

Completing the quest Rumble in the Jungle should now award the King of the Jungle buff, as intended.

I'm guessing this means that the buff is persisting properly. Last week when i did it, the buff dropped off about 10 seconds after i got it. This week, in my experience, its persisted for a few hours so far.

You can loot fel-corrupted apexis fragments once a day from each champion

To check if you've done this quest for the week, run this script:

/script print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(39565))

It will print "true" if you've completed it, or "false" if you haven't.

There is a trail on scuttler's coast (53, 88) that will take you directly to the arena for the Rumble in the Jungle quest. Also a great place to gather herbs as not many people go over on that strand of beach. Just make sure you have your summoning supplies tho as there is no merchant on that side of Fang'rila.

If you are like me and also do this on a daily basis just for the fragments, this macro might help you as I often lose track on which ones I did across my toons:

While I understand why they give no rep (you get a boat load of rep for doing the quest associated with it), these are still Fang'rila creatures, and arguably the toughest of them all, and they really should give a bunch of Blackclaw Fangs, instead of giving none.

Especially when there is part of a meta achievement for 5000 of those fangs, and you'll get roughly 1000 farming to exalted rep, meaning you'll need to farm Fang'rila for no other reason than to get claws, 4000 of them or so. Seems someone dropped the ball on these particular NPC's.

I don't believe it is possible to solo these elites because the moment you stick down a totem, players come swooping in like sea gulls out of nowhere to tag in. :)

I was there by myself and decided to give it a try. Immediately I was joined by about 6 others from both factions. (actually they were probably all goblins and didn't want to spend the claws for the totems)

Twice I've tried to use the Mechashredder 5000 while fighting Akrrilo and twice Akrrillo went back up to full health (from next to nothing) when the Mechashredder dies.

Is this supposed to happen?

Anyone have any other tips for a warrior to solo kill this guy?

I just want to say thank you to to the Alliance mage who sat there on their flying mount and watched me get trashed by Akrrilo. Would it have killed you to tag in and help? Sheesh.

Maybe it's hardly any news, but all 3 bosses are easily soloable by Blood DKs at item lvl 683.

Killing these are very hard as a rogue since you can't stun the mobs that spawn. I got some help from a friendly warrior, if not I wouldn't have been able to do it alone.

Since last week's patch ONLY Eyepiercer (Prime Totem) now drops Fel-Corrupted Apexis Fragment x3. They used to drop 2-3 each making Unseen Influence pretty easy when doing Rumble in the Jungle.

I guess too easy. Like it really makes a difference after being this way for 5 months now. I never understand why they "fix" this stuff so long after it's even relevant.

I believe they changed it so that you only get one Fel-Corrupted Apexis Fragment for each of the fights instead of the 1, 2, 3 that they used to give for Minor, Major and Prime.

Correction:You get 3 for doing the Prime and none for Major and Minor.

Its worth going to the Darkmoon Faire when its on before handing this in as the buff from riding the Darkmoon carousel; WHEE! which gives you 10% extra rep, bumps this quest up to 4,900 rep with The Saberstalkers!

On the map the area is spelled "Fang'rila" but in the achievement it is spelled more similarly to the referencial Shangri-La; "Fangri'la".

For people commenting how to solo this you should really just group up with one other player. It's a great way to meet someone.

I am surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but the title of this quest is an obviousreference to the famous fight in Zaire (present day Democratic Republic of the Congo) between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. It is one of the most famous boxing fights in history and a good example of Ali's rope-a-dope strategy that ultimately tired Foreman. Ali won via a referee stoppage of the fight in the 9th(?) round.

Just wanted to add that you can do the Prime monster on a daily basis giving 3 fragments for the Unseen Influence daily. No idea doing the other 2 monsters if you don't have the quest though. This helped me alot to speed up the progression on Draenor Pathfinder achievement, which I almost have completed now during Legion :)

I just picked this up and keep only getting Rendarr when I use the totems. Do I have to wait a certain amount of time for the others, or use a different totem for them? I have literally killed him 3 times in a row, and don't wanna keep using the totems if I'm doing this wrong. Help! *edited to note that as soon as I posted this, I tried each of the different totems and it did the trick. hehe :D It's for the Rumble in the Jungle

I was having an issue with this about a month ago, where the same one kept spawning. I can't remember if there was only one totem to buy at the time, or I'm just derpy. I just went back to give it another try though and bought the Prime, Major, and Minor Blackfang totem. Used each of them and each summoned a different enemy. So from the sounds coming from previous comments and my own issues earlier, it seems they've fixed this quest (Or I'm just less derpy today. Either are equally possible lol)

For all of the lazier folks this is a daily/weekly repeatable quest for The Saberstalkers:

1) Have a Garrison built, and complete the We Need a Shipwright/We Need a Shipwright chain to build a lvl 1 Shipyard.

2) Complete the Shipyard chain The Assault Base/The Assault Base to raid the southern port in Tanaan (allows you to establish your outpost there).

3) Return to the area and kill mobs to farm Blackfang Claw currency drops (which you get from killing mobs, bosses, etc in the area).

4) Go to roughly 55.75 to grab quest and items from Z'tenga the Walker (he has a cozy fire, friends, and a direhorn skull above the campfire). Be sure to talk to Skoller for a critter toy!

6) Buy x1 (ONE) each of the minor (Akrrilo), medium (Rendarr), and prime (Eyepiercer) totems (they cost 40 Blackfang Claws total).

7) Go to the tiny arena at 54, 81 and use totem from your bag. Kill 'em all, turn in quest.

NOTES: Must be IN the arena not in the circle on top of the nearby stone. There is a ~1 minute wait between when you can use each totem.

NOTE2: For a party of higher level people it is recommended to buy a Red Rider Air Rifle or Soft Foam Sword from toy vendors in main (not major) cities and Dalaran for less than 2G. Each person uses either item 1x to "tag" the fighter, then all can slaughter him. This prevents 1-shots by higher levels.
