Note for all you people who skip quest text like me, you need to go inside the entrance to the tomb, not the ruins around you.

To reach the entrance of Tomb of Shadows, climb the only stairs you see around where Imperial Antiquator is. Turn right and you'll see a building with a narrow and high gateway. That is Tomb of Shadows.

One of the tablets are located under a rock and partially covered. It can easily be missed if you're rushing.

I missed it and spent five minutes cursing over bugged quests. :>

Note: you have to summon Image of Lorewalker Cho using The Tongue of Ba-Shon in your inventory in the zone Valley of Emperors on order to turn this quest in.

To go to the cave go to 55.9, 46.2, which is up the stairs from the quest give location.

Shen Dynasty Rubbing: 57.1, 43.5 on the right of the big statue.

Way Dynasty Rubbing 56.3, 43.4 under the pillar, its half covered.

Qiang Dynasty Rubbing 57.1, 45.0 by a red chest.

Use The Tongue of Ba-Shon to hand in the quest.

If you have to leave the area and need to get back, but can't fly, go up the snowy hill left of one keg until you reach an abandoned camp then bear left. (note...if you go right, you will find the cavern where sprites are). When you get to where the path splits, with the two big posts with braziers on them, then go right. Be careful there are pats.

I just completed the quest and had an issue looting the Wai Dynasty Rubbing. I had no issues looting the Shen and Qiang rubbings, but I had to log off and back on for the loot gear to appear for the Wai.

If you can't find Lorewalker Cho to turn in the completed quest look for The Tongue of Ba-Shon in your bags which will summon him. If you lose the item you can talk to Mishi to get a new one. Mishi is at 57,48.

This quest did not show up for me on my tracker. It appeared as I walked into the tomb entrance (56,46) and then I could accept it. I was stuck in this zone, and this was my answer.

Once you enter the Tomb of shadows at 55.86,46.28, you can proceed to the tablets. The left side tablet is stuck under a column with an enemy sitting facing it (56.34,43.42). The middle tablet is to the right of the Mogu statue set back in the alcove (57.14,43.50). The right side tablet is set back facing the direction of the entrance. There is a fake chest to the left of the tablet (57.07,45.04). Hope this helps.

Mishi would not even speak with me - perhaps I have the tounge thing in the bank - not is not in the bank...I do not have the item...mishi will not speak with me - I have a completed quest that I can do nothing with...

What is it with all the damn quest item timers? I've encountered a lot in various zones, but Pandaria has MORE than their fair share of timers on items we need to pick up for a quest. Such as this one, Shen Dynasty Rubbing, Wai Dynasty Rubbing, and Qiang Dynasty Rubbing all have a minute timer from the time one player picks it up until the next player CAN pick it up. WHY? What the hell is these developers thinking? "Oh, we can't have two players in the same area doing the same quest so, let's put a timer on these so one will finish and move on leaving the other to wait for the mobs to respawn."

There is just way too many quests that just SCREAM developers are frillin with the players. There is no reason to put timers on any of these items. What does it hurt if two players are doing the quest at the same time? So what they share in the kills. So what. They still have to get the items and turn them in. What does it hurt, developers? Does it make your petty little lives seem more important to frill with us this way? We all appreciate what you do with this game, we really do. Except when you do BS crap like this. If there is a reason for these timers beyond griefing the players, it's lost to ALL of us, I dare say.

MoP Remix lv 70 was not able to see the quest items in the tomb of shadows I was stuck in another phase with mogu instead of zandalari trolls inside the tomb, had to party with someone lower level on the same quest and party sync so I was in their phase and was able to complete the quest. Not sure what I was Phased into but I couldn't have done it without.

Description

Given the artifacts you found on the altar, I would guess they were attempting to perform a Spiritbinding ritual.

Most of the texts involving Spiritbinding were locked away in the Tomb of Shadows. Perhaps we will find the answers we seek there.

Look for anything that might help us. You'll find the tomb on the first rise closest to the ritual altar.
