This quest is difficult because it is bugged, you share your mobs with other players.

Got the achievement Help the Bombardier! I'm the Bombardier! from doing this quest/daily.

aim for the 3 first levels, mobs uper even do not count as kills.
keep in mind that it takes about 8 seconds for the shell to reach destination.

Since some people don't know this, but to make this go a LOT faster..

Use this method:
Put your left hand's finger on number 1 and your right hand on your mouse's left click, press 1 then choose the area you want to fire at.. As soon as you fire, spam 1 then click as you follow your target! You can get at least 3 shots back to back before it goes on CD.

Not sure if the quest is bugged or intended, but you only get credit for the guys that are moving, so need to time the bombs on the respawn spots to get the groups that are on the move. The static groups don't count towards the quest.

Did this two days ago, not a problem, everyone was patrolling and it was a fun quest.

Did this today on my alt, none of the people were patrolling, none of them were awarding kills, something is definitely bugged.

If you fire at the pack far in the distance and fire at the one right in the front, both shots land in close succession to each other and you can get the achievement "Help the Bombardier" quite easily.

That is, if you don't mind disobeying the "In one shot" requirement to the achievement.

The quest is working as intended. You should know blizzard by now. They aim to frustrate their player base. I've tried the trick method and I guess the hot fixed it. This quest shows you how many failures made it to beta.

As for December 28th, 2010, the quest is deemed to be hour to finish. Those other bombs are NPC's stealing your kills.

i dont know if i am the only one that figured this out yet, but this quest became a daily for Ramkahen rep once i finished the harrison jones quest line it was originally part of

I encountered a strange problem with this quest today. All but one of the mobs was visually stationary but was still considered patting. So I just ended up having to keep firing in single locations until I hit the "invisible" enemies.

Edit: silly me, I didn't realize someone else pointed this out a few posts above me :x

I'm afraid I just don't understand this quest. What was the idea behind it? What were they thinking? It's confusing, slow and generally just not fun. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I couldn't figure out the point to this at all.

Others have said that this is a repeatable for Ramkahen rep and that this page needs to be updated, but that's not exactly true. This is the page for the repeatable daily version of this quest.

This quest was pretty easy when I realized that other players can do it at the same time, and thus STEAL YOUR KILLS.

I thought it were NPC's at fist... the best way to do this quest is to do it when no-one else is around.

This is a horrible, slow quest. Target in front of where the mobs are headed. It takes 2-3 seconds for the target to form and 6-7 seconds for the bomb to hit. Many of the mobs you get a direct hit on will not count. This quest is monotonous and bugged.

Also at Revered, this did not grant 250 rep.

I'm pretty sure this quest can get bugged. The first time I did it there were many groups of moving soldiers. Second time now and the soldiers are mostly static and not moving anywhere and there are less groups.

tip: if your screen is clustered with UI stuff, press alt+Z to clear it. You can still press 1 and bomb them, but it will be easier to aim and see the targets.

I liked this quest, was fun trying to predict them. Though I see not everyone likes that, I hope they don't change this though.

I don't know if anyone noticed this in all of their frustration, but some of the soldiers jump off the ledges in a flaming suicidal panic with audible screams. Morbid, Blizz, morbid.

Warning: skip this if you hate whining. But in the end there are some suggestions.

I find the two daily quests in Uldum so utterly boring and, well, rather mean-spirited! This one works just fine for me but I (a) find it tedious and (b) its even worse when you're not the only one targeting and (c) the running screaming in agony and jumping off the ledge is horrific. And because they are the only two quests...one has to do them over and over again. And then there is no easy way out of Uldum.

It feels like WOW really ran out of steam here. There are so many good possibilities here: even a steal the camel daily or kill X amount of scorpions in a given period of time. Or a rescue quest. Something not so...stationary.

The quest seemed bugged for me, untill I realized that you absolutely cannot be in a group or party. My kill count stopped when i was invited to a raid. Once I got out of the party all went well again.

If you're looking to pick these up as transmog like i was, The quest they're from is in one of the chapters for uldum. you have to complete the previous chapters before you can see this one. your map will show a large (!) to tell you where in the zones questline you are.

As of 9.2.5 you can only target the two groups on the bottom (in my experience). So, yeah. SLOW...

I found that leaving the artillery piece and re-mounting it greatly improved projectile velocity, making it much less frustrating to use.

Annoying, but I quickly learned a trick with the front few rows of guards, the ones closest to you. The missile launches faster at them than the ones in the far-off distance and if you place the market so that it expands to full just before the front guard/lieutenant reaches it, it will hit the entire pack and net you an achievement. Help the Bombardier! I'm the Bombardier!
