This starts off a quest chain that is not well linked because each time you finish a quest Feronas despawns and respawns with the next quest.

Eventually it leads to Navarax's Gambit.

The quest is not immediately accessible for anyone just wanting to swing through.

You have to begin with several quests down in Emerald Sanctuary. The quests will lead upward through Felwood's quest hubs until you come to Whisperwind Grove.

Complete Tender Puregrove's 3 quests to phase in Huntress Selura.

In order to get the Illidan quests from this guy, you need to complete a number of prerequisites. Namely:

1. Running Their Course
2. Squirrely Clean
3. Weeding the Lawn

I don't remember whether the following need to be completed as a prerequisite as well:

4. Nature and Nurture
5. Buzzers for Baby
6. Seeking Soil
7. These Roots Were Made For Stompin'
8. Singin' in the Sun
9. The Last Protector
10. Rejoining the Forest

Once you finish those, the quest Wanted: The Demon Hunter will open up to you, which will lead you to Feronas Sindweller. After you try slaying him, he will give you the quest A Destiny of Flame and Sorrow, which is the first of the Illidan quests.

Now after the release of Legion, this feels like a pleasant little Easter egg. Feronas yells, "Blind fool! You have no idea what you are doing!" and he's most definitely right. If you want some nice flavourful quests to give more depth to your DH's backstory, I recommend picking up this chain :)

Description

Since reclaiming Jadefire Run from the satyr, the Emerald Circle has sent many druids to begin the long task of cleansing the ruins. Last night, several of them were murdered... by a night elf.

The witnesses say it was a demon hunter, a crazed disciple of Illidan. A rare sight. No doubt he's gone mad with power just like his master.

I'll pay top bounty for proof of this murderer's death. He's been spotted just off the road to the north, in a valley beneath Jadefire Run.
