This quest is NOT exclusive to rogue or shaman. I just finished it as paladin!

Oh, and WoWhead's coordinates are way off. I think they're still combining Stranglethorn into one zone, but it's been split into two! Just go to Venture Co.'s base camp at the lake and follow the river south from there! You'll find at least one Elder Snapjaw Crocolisk as you go, I would hope.

First time I killed him I couldn't loot him for some reason. I was a bit overleveld so that might be the issue. Second time I killed him slowly and got the skin.

Note that if you're a class whose primary armor type isn't Leather or Mail, you won't get any boots, contrary to what Drizzlik said.

Just did this today on my Death Knight and am now the proud owner of SFA!

Didn't get anything except 1 gold 80 silver and 2400XP.

I wanted to DE them...

I one shotted it with my max level character and couldn't loot. There was nothing to loot. I had to wait it to respawn and got in combat before killing it.

Bring an Elder Crocolisk Skin to Drizzlik at Nesingwary's Expedition.

Description

With the inside finished, all that's left is to add the outer layer. For this, I use only the best elder croc skins. They are more durable and a better canvas--if you will--for adding the designs and accents that make Drizzlik's Excelsior line.

It's hard to find that perfect skin though, the only one that fits my plan is the skin of an elder snapjaw crocolisk. Find them to the south, near the border with the cape.
