Lady Sathrah is a level 12 large grey spider that can be found at multiple coordinates. A few to try are 39, 25 and 48, 25. Search the general area east or west of the river at the top of the map of Teldrassil and you should find her.

If you are level 10 or 11, you can kill her by waiting until she is off by herself because she spawns minions. If you are level 12 or higher, killing her and the minions should be no problem.

I actually soloed her pretty easily as a lvl 8 druid. All I did was Wrath to catch her attention, Root her, Moonfire, wait until the roots broke, rooted her again with another moonfire, then started attacking her. By the time she brought me down, I'd have enough mana to heal myself and continue attacking.

Be aware that she can spawn on EITHER side of the Wellspring river. She's still at the very north part of Teldrassil

I found her at 48, 26. Easily soloed her as a 10 priest. Simply put up my shield and hit her with Mind Blast and Smite. Finished her with my wand when she was at 10% health. Took a while to find though.

I killed her at lvl 10 with out one problem i dono maybe it changed after patch or i killed her to fast but for me she didnt spawn any minions

i took me a few minutes to find her not quite sure where i found her but it was no where near the lake.. i found her near some trees near the mountians.. be warned.. there will be alot of spiders around her.. but u should be able to pull them away from her with out agro'en Sathrah.

If you have QuestHelper, it will probably tell you to go around 39, 26. But after looking here on Wowhead, I found out Lady Sathrah can actually go past the lake, to around 48, 25. Believe it or not, that's where I finally found her.

Here is the general range of where Lady Sathrah will be: Map

Edit: After patch Patch 2.4, QuestHelper is now fixed and tells you Lady Sathrah can be on either side of the river.

for people who dont have cords...like me one of her spawn spots is directly above the oracle glade tree
and she didnt spawn minions for me but i was a lvl 10 priest and we all know they pwn really fast at lvl 10

I don't see why you said it would be harder for level 10-11, it was easy for me, no minions or anything, the only trouble I had was finding her and the endless killing spree of timberlings and sabers.

found her at 48.00 25.00. I had to go further east than I expected; she was sitting in the corner. Beware of other enemies around when fighting, a couple snuck up on me and almost took me out. ( lvl 11 blood elf priest).

It is possable to pick up this quest without doing the first in the chain, but it's better to do the first one also; otherwise you are forfeiting reputation & experience. It may not be a lot, but the reputation & experience you get from quests you could skip adds up.

Yea, all the coords or different somehow, but anyone works, i have no idea why she's a spider! But i cannot do it yet since i am not a high enough level...meh. But the screen shot is cool...she either got killed and crept into a spiders life, something like that...

A check list to killing her:

~~High Mana~~

~~High health~~

~~A group if low leveling~~

Then the steps:

Kill all the creatures around you before killing the spider

When she has got the minions out, kill them

Then kill her, loot the spider, make sure you have got what you need...

If your a low level....RUN!

confirmed at co ordinates 29,25 (she respawns here) then moves along to the river and ends up co ordinates 48,25. She will be at one of the locations. Hope this helps

I wonder if Blizzard took their inspiration from the ancient Incan Civilization for this quest.

Concidering you are chasing Silvery Spinnerets and "Tears of the Moon" was silver for the Incans.

She's found at 39, 25... if you are a druid entangle her in the roots and just spam her with wrath over and over and she will be dead in no time plus she can't summon her little minions when entangled.

Also its helpful to kill the spiders and feral cats around her before you start attacking this way you don't have more things to kill =D

The re-spawn rate for Lady Sathrah is awful; if you're unlucky enough to see someone else kill her, don't bother waiting.

I have killed her over 20 times at level 11 as a druid but nothin but legs and broken legs drop. Dont know what to do as this is a class quest, and i have wasted 2 hours:L

Took about an hour, but I found her, looks like the green spiders found around the area, but she's silver. If you happen to see someone else kill her, go farm mats for about 2 hours and come back. Not worth waiting for.

Quest done, Solo'd with level 80 shaman in enhancement spec.

Called Spirit Wolves, charged in, let spirit wolves get arrgo called earth totem golem. he took it then heroismed, stormstriked and then did a heavy melee rotation until malestrom went in then healed elemental with the instant heal. Was a bit of a challange but with patience i got it dead. I am in half icc/toc dps gear.

Probably would have been quicker if I could find other 80s to do this with.

Don't confuse this (Alliance) quest, "Tears of the Moon" with the (Horde) "The Tear of the Moons"!

One involves killing a level 12 spider, the other involves looting an item in the presence of a level 30 mob when you're most likely level 25/26. Apart from both quests involving add fights and a similar quest name, there seems to be no relationship at all between the two!

Before Cataclysm this quest was the second in a chain of three. The first was a breadcrumb quest, the third and last one was called "Sathrah's Sacrifice", in which you had to travel to the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus and sacrifice the Silvery Spinnerets from this quest before the statue of Elune. The (friendly) Spirit of Sathrah would appear, walk a lap around the statue and then despawn. Now that the quest is gone, the Spirit of Sathrah appears directly when you turn in this quest, along with a message in your chatlog stating "Spirit of Sathrah is once again at peace". This time, too, the Spirit of Sathrah will walk around for a few seconds and then despawn.

If you picked up this quest in Darnassus during 8.0 when you were trying to finish the rescue mission during the burning of Teldrassil, and realized you could not leave the city - turn off your low level quests. This is a low leveling quest that just happened to be active during the evacuation. Feel free to pick it up and complete it once Zordami is able to reverse time.

It has no effect on the burning of Teldrassil questline.

Description

Lady Sathrah was once beloved of Elune. Graceful and pure, the spider spun her silver threads through the moonlight, catching the evening mist. The silvery dew had strong healing powers and was kept at the nearby temple.

But of late, Sathrah has descended into madness. Her future generations are now threatened as well.

Find Lady Sathrah, <name>, and end her suffering. She dwells northeast of here, near the river. Gather her silvery spinnerets and bring them back to me.
