Coord above are correct. You can solo this quest at a low level if you can kill Ferocitas fast enough, but be warned it's hard to pull him alone.

Very easy quest. Mystics and Ferocitas found around loc 67,53. To get the jewel <right click> on the necklace that drops from Ferocitas.

I think this quest is bugged, as I have killed Ferocitas the Dream Eater 17 times now and still no drop. I am a Dwarf grinding Rep with Darnassus. Not only has this frustrated me, but also other players trying to complete the quest... As im not moving until it drops! =/ Has any1 else had this problem?

I went back in my combat log, so far I have 15 kills of the Dream Eater, and the necklace still hasn't dropped.

I'll give him a few more tries then I'm giving up.

Suckiest drop rate ever.

I found that these Gnarlpine spawn extremely quickly.

There is a chest behind Ferocitas which I wanted to loot, so I cleared out the Mystics around it. The problem was, I nearly couldn't loot the chest because of the incredibly fast respawn rate. Whenever I had killed the last one and wanted to get at the chest, the first one would already be back.

This respawn rate also made it somewhat harder to get at Ferocitas, as well.

For all the people who say it won't drop. It's not THE emerald necklace that drops. It's the gnarlpine necklace. You have to right-click it to receive the emerald.

67,5 53,5 is the correct spot , just go there and kill the grey guy then click on the neckle , which you are looting from him , and get the jewel !
Reward : I got 875 exp and 4 s 50 copper on 9 lvl !

I got this quest done really easily mostly because someone had taken him down before and got rid of the add also. For some reason it takes longer for the add to respawn than Ferocitas does. So a smart thing to do would be to kill the add first and then go for Ferocitas. Easy quest as a hunter if you have kiting skills. Use them if you do also I finsished this quest with 98% hp and 30% mana so it reaslly wasnt that hard. Have Fun :)

I managed to kill ferocitas & the others with my hunter lvl 11 + my pet at same lvl.
& Yes .. It's hard to pull ferocitas alone. Just make sure to have a healing potion of some sort ready. :D?

Soloed with my lvl 8 rouge killed add first then ran and w8 for hp to heal then went and killed ferocitas

I soloed this as a level 8 rogue as well. I cleared a couple of mobs from behind the tent then attacked Ferocitas. The mystic that was near him was aggroed as well, but I focused on defeating Ferocitas first. By the time he was dead the mystic had run out of mana and had to melee which allowed me to kill him very easily. Very easy quest.

This took me several tries to get the necklace with the emerald in it. i went to 70,53 on mine but the coords are close enough where it won't make that big of a difference. But i soloed this as a lvl 7 druid and i pulled only the boss for the 4 times i had to kill him. The emarld is returned to Tallonki in Dolanar. just keep trying to get it if it doesn't drop the first

Have now slayed Ferocitas 15 times in the last 20 minutes, and still no necklace drop. Have petitioned a GM for an investigation into this problem.

same issue as Swizman88 - killed him about 6 times and he hasn't dropped anything. logged out to see if it works when i log back in.

A lil' bug. In the quest log, when completed, it says return to the quest guy at Lake Al'ameth, when it is actually Dolanaar.

If you're having trouble finding any Gnarlpine Mystics for this quest, try taking out a few of the Gnarlpine Warriors instead, mystics should spawn in their place within seconds.

i got there, killed him, and when i pulled it out, my inventory was full.
now there is no more mr Ferocious and i dont have the necklace anymore.

As of 4.0.1 this quest is bugged! After killing Ferocitas it resets your Mystic kills. Until this is fixed kill him first, then the mystics!

Kill 7 Gnarlpine Mystics and find the missing jewel.

Description

The emerald... It is missing! My dreamcatcher has been damaged!

There is a band of Gnarlpine mystics located to the north of Starbreeze. I have heard reports that their leader, Ferocitas the Dream Eater, has been wearing a necklace that glows green in the night. Now seeing my dreamcatcher, I am sure that he has stolen my emerald... He would never realize that its power is useless to him.

Find this missing jewel, <name>. And, while you're there, clear out some of the corrupted mystics as well.
