You can find these adders running around in the Overgrowth

If you are like me and rely on (or at least use alot) name plates and/or names above quest mobs heads, they don't work for these. It might have something to do with the fact that they are critters. Regardless, keep a good eye out for them, as some of them can blend in.

Keep in mind, names for critters (they are snakes) are defaulted to not show, so simply press ESC-> Interface -> Names -> Critters/Companions. Doing this, will make finding the snakes significantly faster.

Also, you're not supposed to kill them, you loot them.

/target Enervating Adder
and then mark with a Skull to help find them.

If you're like me and wanna do it the hard way... Don't! Just use the critter nametags options in interface and you've completed this quest in under a minute!

Found the snakes really easily be dropping my graphics to the lowest settings. Removes most of the vegetation and makes them a lot easier to see.

spamming a /tar Enervated Adder macro makes this a lot faster. you can even right-click on their portrait to set a marker over their head

Doing this quest now to get all the older quests out of the way. First 5 snakes I killed while right clicking to loot until I realized I had my Arcane Familiar activated.

So, here's a pro tip: check your buffs in order to prevent auto attacks.

Description

The corruption unleashed here must be studied if we're to find a way of properly fighting it.

Luckily, not all the creatures have been as altered as others. The smaller snakes drink little water, and do not eat plants, so their exposure to the energies here has been minimal. They've still absorbed enough to change coloration.

Go collect these snakes from the overgrowth and return them to me, so we can see just what is happening to the creatures here.
