Just jump on the large kodo with the war drums on his back called "Brutusk". He will take you on a pleasant trip to the Warsong Labor Camp. You will need to speak to Kadrak first though. He will provide you with a set of "Kadrak's Reins" that are needed to be able to ride Brutusk.

Brutusk will not come up to you. This black giant kodo is towards the front of the camp.

Should have given the reins when the quest started because i was looking all over to find a way to ride this beast! Simply done though, just enjoy the ride.

Must complite quests:

1. Rescue the Fallen
2. Find Gorat!
3. Final Report
4. To Dinah, at Once!
5. Gorat's Vengeance

Then go to Truun for your quest. Dont forget to take Kadrak's Reins from Kadrak.

This had a bug when I did it. I got the reins from Kadrak as instructed, but then couldn't mount Brutusk. To fix it I dropped the quest and then went straight to Brutusk, mounted easily and completed the quest, no reins needed.

You don't need to click on the reins to summon Brutusk. He's standing about 15 yards away.

Tried to complete this quest on 4 different toons on 3 different servers. I tried every trick inhere, dropping the reins, keeping them, dumping the quest and re-aquire but nothing does the trick. Brutusk remains as uninteractive for me as ever... :(

"Got Wood" has been bugged for me for a total of 2½ months.
I usually just skip it, altho its a connecter :/

I had this issue. I simply kept the reins, abandoned the quest and picked it up again, turned round and was able to mount him. Hope this helps.

I got the reins, couldn't mount Brutusk.
I dropped the quest, but kept the reins, couldn't mount Brutusk.
I got the quest again, still had the reins, I could finally mount Brutusk.

After you accept the quest and speak to Kadrak, you'll receive Kadrak's Reins, which gives you a buff that will allow you to ride Brutusk. The beast, Brutusk, stands a few yards away waiting for you to jump aboard, but if the quest is bugged you can't mount. If that happens, simply /reload your UI.

So I was AFK for a while after picking up this quest and it's only objective is 'Brutusk Mounted'. Being named what it is I'm glad I knew I was at a lumber camp full of kodo or this would have been a really strange quest to turn in.

After taking quest, speaking to the dude to get the reins, couldn't mount the kodo, abandoned quest, kept the reins, re-took quest. COULD MOUNT HIM! :D So.. Sort-of working as of 6.1.x

This quest has been bugged for years, literally. This time nothing I did would get it to work.

I destroyed the reins at one point, and now no matter how many times I abandon the quest, leave the zone, log out, reload UI, etc., the quest giver won't give me new reins. I even tried just abandoning the quest and heading on to the camp the kodo would have taken me to. No quest-giving NPCs there.

Not going to bother to wait for GM help since it says that could take 24 hours. I'm off to find an equivalent questing area in the Eastern Kingdoms.

As of today this quest worked well. I will say, however, that I'd read all this beforehand and was aware of the issues so I was pleasantly surprised when it went off without a hitch. Sometimes the "Warcraft" gods smile on you!

Seems to work if you grab the quest, the reins from Kadrak (hope thats his name) then if you cant mount brutusk, just drop the quest. Grab it again, and before you speak to Kadrak, mount Brutusk.

Here we are, well into WoD, and this quest is still bugged. I was able to complete it by following instructions here to abandon (didn't hear the sound file for an abandoned quest, and there was no yellow text saying it had been abandoned) and pick it up again. The reins stay in your bags, and you will be able to right click Brutusk to mount him.

EDIT: Once again, I am doing this quest on an alt. However, this time, I was able to pick up the quest, get the reins from Kadrak, but did not need to abandon the quest. I sat at Brutusk and logged out. Upon logging in again, I was able to mount Brutusk.

This quest is STILL BUGGED. As instructed by someone three years ago, all I did was type /reload, and was immediately able to mount Brutusk and complete the quest. No dropping, no relogging, no sweat.

But please, Blizzard, for the sake of all your new subscribers who just saw "Warcraft" and are doing this quest as their first adventure outside Duratar: FIIIIIIIX THIIIIIIIIS BUUUUUUUUG!

for some reason the quest details read:

of course it meanst Brutusk, but they misspelled it.

Here's what happened to me... I picked up the quest from Truun then spoke to Kadrak (the orc with the huge axe standing a few yards behind Truun) he gave me the 'Kadrak's Reins', the item appears in your bags but cannot be clicked on. I ran over to the kodo 'Brutusk' but like many others I could not use the reins or otherwise click to mount the kodo.

There is a glitch on this quest which Blizz doesn't deem important enough to fix so don't bother ticketing a GM here's what you do... Go stand by the kodo, then type /reloadui after your interface reloads a green arrow appears when you mouse over the kodo, click it and off you go. After I arrived at the Warsong camp I dumped the quest rode back and did it all over again to test it and as if by magic it decided to work without the glitch.

I would like to note that when I did it the first time another person had rode Brutusk out of the gates just moments before I went to start the quest and I wonder if the fact that Brutusk was 'in service' might have had something to do with the glitch, my second try there was no-one else around, could just be coincidence but a minute or 2 wait time could work just as well as reloading your interface. Good luck!

I can confirm the bug. I too had to drop the quest and regain it to mount Brutusk. The bug still exists.

Though considering this quest is buggy, I am finding myself to deal with a bigger problem of a bug.

I am on my Mage, level 110, and doing the the Achievement Ashenvale Quests for the Loremaster of Kalimdor. Problem I am having is when I speak to Truun, I accept the quest, but he doesn't give me the Kadrak's Reins, and when I reload my UI, disable all my addons, and even drop and re-accept the quest a few times, I still don't get the reins. As for the bug on low level toons, I am uncertain if it is having the same effect.

Brutusk is the same as the Black War Kodo if anyone like the look of it :) As of Legion it costs 15 Mark of Honor :)

Description

Kadrak has just received fresh orders for our troops. I hear we're to begin offensive strikes into Ashenvale!

I have far too few supplies to support an assault, and my shipment from Orgrimmar has yet to arrive.

I am forced to improvise, and could use your help, <class>.

Speak with Kadrak and ask him for the reins to Brutusk. The kodo will take you to the Warsong Labor Camp. Once there, seek out Gorka and ask her to load you up with logs.
