Solo'd as a 78 Unholy DK, but ended up in ghoul form before he went down. Har'koa spawns after you damage him a little bit to help you kill him. If it weren't for a few missed Death Strikes, I probably wouldn't have hit ghoul form, so it's definitely doable without dying.

Pretty simple to solo as a Frost Mage, kite him around a bit (he moves at 100% or so) with Ice Lance spam and occasional Fire Blast, use a WE to get him down quickly.

He does a debuff that does about 500 dmg/5 sec and stacks for solo'ing it really helps to get Mage Armor up and to have the Magic Absorption talent, you'll resist quite a few of them.
Once you got him down to the dialog % (~85-90k), Ice Block so you loose aggro, stay in it for a few seconds (to make sure he STAYS on Har'koa), if neccesary run out of his AoE DoT range and bandage quickly, but you -should- be fine. After that simple stand next to Har'koa to get her healing and nuke =) (I think a fire mage could outrange his AoE DoT and not worry about HP, not sure though.. but Har'koa should do enough to keep you alive)

TL;DR: Kite > Dialog > IB=Give Har'koa aggro > Hug Har'koa & Nuke
And ofcourse spam Fire Ward and Ice Barrier!

Solo'd as a level 77 Blood DK.

This proved to be quite a challenge. I knew the dialogue script that would occur, so I was saving Mark of Blood for then. Until then, I had to rely on a Runic Health Potion, Death Strike, and a 40 second Rune Tap in order to survive. Even then I barely made it to the dialogue. After that, I found Har'koa does performs a HOT spell on you, which, when combined with Bloodworms, another Rune Tap, and more Death Strikes, proved to be JUST enough to win.

When he went down, I had four stacks of the debuff on me and had to eat in order to not die.

Also solo'd as a 77 BM Hunter with average gear, and ferocity pet. Ended fight with about half health (had to use Heart of the Phoenix, had no idea what i was in for when i started)

Soloable also as a prot warrior, be sure to spellreflect his fast-casting incineration for avoid additional damage

had to use a couple of cooldowns, the bad thing about warriors is that you can't let Har'koa tank the prophet, so you will continue to get mashed until the end; not too bad, the renew Har'koa gives both with enraged regeneration will keep you up, paired with shield wall near the end of the combat will do the job ;)

Solo'd (kinda) as a frost mage.

I died a bit after Har'koa came and sat around to watch them fight. Figured Har'koa would lose, I decided to run back.

Much to my suprise then, when I got back, they were still fighting. Proceeded to pop a health pot and bandage, then went to town with Veins and Elemental. Beat him with Har'koa at maybe 2 or 3%.

Edit- In hindsight, could have probably done this really easily without dying. I used a mana potion since I got low on mana, and forgot about using Lifeblood(I'm an herbalist). Probably would have lived long enough to start getting healed from Har'koa to live had I done bnoth.

Dont know if this was supposed to happend or something, but tried him as a rogue alone, got him to 75%, vanished " no hp left ", and then he got immune to everything, and he just stands there and does nothing..

can be solo'd by a lvl 76 T6 (BT) geared shadow priest.

Save all CD's for after 75% - after the event, blow trinkets and try to burst him down as much as you can. Do not use shadow word: death. When you get 3 stacks of the flame debuff on you, drop form and start healing. Use Dispersion to reduce damage and regen mana. Keep up VE, SW:P and Devouring Plague, and just spam flash heal / prayer of mending / renew / shield and you will win. :)

soloed as a lvl 76 rogue. used all my cds to get him down to like 76% then Har'koa came and tanked him - i died but just ran back to see that Har'koa still was fighting him.
then i just dpsd him ( died again because of dot but i just ran back again) might cost a bit but pretty easy :p

Solo'd as a 75 ret paladin, epics with blue quest gear(including the 610 top end axe from arena thing). for paladins:

use fire resis aura
Blessing of Wisdom (i'll tell you why)
judgement of LIGHT

ok, what i did basically was DPS him down ASAP in order for the cat to come. your going to need BoW because you need to spam flash of light every judgement crit, and use your big heal a lot when tanking those fire debuffs. once the cat comes, make sure you STAND NEAR IT! he takes off the fire debuff from you. i didn't even die once, and if you ever get a lot of debuffs on you, just bubble.

Did it as a 79 T5/Sunwell mix geared elemental shaman. The tough part was dpsing to the 75% mark without dying. Popped heroism, fire elemental, used a runic health pot, too. Once Har'Koa came to the rescue, it was mostly a matter of healing myself and slipping in a little dps here and there.

I barely managed to solo this as a level 77 Protection Paladin.

I used a combo of Seal of Corruption(Vengeance for Alliance) and Judgement of Light to keep myself up, as well as a Fire Resistance aura to soak up a bit of the damage.

When the guy reached 80% I was very close to death, so I used my Divine Shield just as the stun hit me.
Note: Divine Shield doesn't remove, nor makes you immune to the stun.

In "phase 2", I used the same seals and judgements from phase 1, while using Divine Plea and Arcane Torrent to keep my mana up.
Note: You may not want to use Divine Plea when you're at low health, as it reduces your health regeneration from Judgement of Light.

Har'koa's aura and damage makes this a lot easier than phase 1, although it lasts four times as long. I also had to pop Lay on Hands at one point between 30-40%, and ended up with 4k health, and totally drained of mana.
Note: I'm using Glyph of Lay on Hands, granting me twice as much mana back when casting LoH

As for the stats, it wasn't anything too great:

Did him solo today, as 77 Balance druid. Im mostly tier 6 healing geared. The way u do this as druid is to keep hots on urself, and use wrath, MF, IS. He dont hit too hard on u in caster, onlt for aroynd 2k every 2-3 sec;) GL

Just soloed as an 80 shadow priest with the gear he hit 80 with (mix of quest blues and some badge gear). Backed up a bit during his pre-aggro speech, then proceeded to dot him up and burn him 'til har'koa showed up. When she did I popped fade to give her aggro then I just re-dotted and DPS'd him 'til he went down. No cooldowns used, no need for pots, didn't even have to come out of shadowform to heal. :D

Soloed as a level 78 protection warrior, toughest solo yet. had to time my spell-reflects for incinerate, and do the best I can to burn him down until the Leopard goddess showed up. Even with her heals it was tough. I liked the part when she yells something about letting "THEM" go even though it was just me, hehe. I died at about 3% and the Goddess finished him off.

For resto shamans:
It´s possible to solo this depending on your gear.
I soloed at lvl 77 with lvl 70 gear 4/6 tier 6.
Just try to kite him around the room and do the most damage possible, flame shock/lava burst and earth shield on will help a lot, aslo searing totem and mana spring.

When he stun´s you, its a good thing to have mana spring down you gonna need mana, keep trying to dps him and heal yourself. If you die, you can use your ankh, mine was down, so i just ran back quickly while he was fighting the Cat, just take your fire elemental down and dps him ( flame shock, lava burst all the time) hard before the cat dies, and you´re done.

I soloed this easily as a feral druid. What I did was stay in bear form and take the hits until he stuns you and the cat comes in, then hit shadowmeld. Let the cat get some aggro, then switch to cat and dps him down. Was EASY!

Solo'd as a level 77 Dk. Only cooldowns I really used was icebound fortitude and anti-magic shell. Death strike was more than enough to keep me alive. I summoned my ghoul to sacrifice it but it got killed by some aoe since I forgot to sacrifice it since my health was so high. This was easier than most other elites I've done so far, maybe they've just nerfed it?

Solo'd as a 77 Prot Pally. I had to use a mana pot near the end, and had probably around 700 health left when he went down. The cat's HOT was enough to keep me up combined with Seal of Light and Judgement of Light.

Just threw everything I had at him. I also had to use Divine Plea (twice) and still had to use the mana pot at the end lol. I have no +INT gear so I only have about 5k mana.

He is immune to stun, and silence. When you get him down to about 3/4 the cat appears and helps you. She cannot tank. She provides extra DPS and a HOT to help keep you up.

3 Players suggested? Pfffsssh, I'm a prot pally! :)

Haha, another easy solo. I did this just now as a 77 arcane mage. All you have to worry about is kiteing him in the beginning after around 75% har'koa comes in. You might die because har'koa won't be able to get aggro so once you come back just hug har'koa for the heal and blast the guy since most likely you won't be able to take the aggro away.

Easily soloable by a 77 balance druid. Simply Moonfire/Insect Swarm and cheetah form kite him around until about 70%, then the big cat comes and he pulls aggro from you eventually. Then you just unload while the cat tanks it.

Solo stuff for a lvl 76 blood DK. Used Frost Presence on the fight, started out with popping Icebound Fortitude for taking the early damage, when that wore off used mark of blood combined with vampiric blood for maximizing heals. Also used Blood Strike on occasion. That left me with 60% hp when the dialogue started. After that it was a piece with harkoa healing and all. GL :)

Soloed as 79 rogue without dying.
Popped all Cds at first phase. At 87.493 hp the boss went invulnerable stunning me.

Then Har'Koa joins the fight, Keep doing as much dps as you can (stay in safe hp range do not risk too much) and then Vanish.
Aggro switches to Har'Koa, so you can safely dps. Sometimes the boss will blast you with dot, be sure to be in range of tranquillity for recovering health.
Cloak of Shadow the dot then bandage, use eventually a pot, and you won't die at all :-)

Gear is quite icky tbh, s2 + quest blues/greens.

I found that aggro did not switch to the cat after it came. Prophet still attacked me, so...

For all you nightelves out there looking to solo, just nuke to ~75%(blow all your cooldowns here, kite if you want but I didn't for fear of aggroing the nearby mobs) and Shadowmeld after the cat comes, let it tank then start DPS again. Careful not to aggro the mob off the cat!

Hunters can Feign Death and Priests can Fade, anything to let him hit the cat and not you. Cat is tough, could take the damage until I dps'ed the mob down. Only things that died during the fight were my treants. :)

This fight is can be solo'ed as long as you can bring him to 75%. So blow all your CDs and trinkets early. Once at 75% the Cat God thing will come to help. At this point you can just safely die due to AOE and run back as the fight will continue. The Cat will have aggro, just take it nice and slow to the end.

77 Haunt warlock with 1730 +damage(flasked) 14,5k hp 12k mana (the blessing from the troll village .I.e. Kings) I tried in my pvp gear at first, but forgot to have my pet out for soul link so I actually died quite fast in spite of having 20k hp with kings and 1250 +damage. So went to pve gear to kill the mob faster. Hence drain tanking better.

Made it to the phase two drain tanking with about 40% health and almost oom. Had to chug a potion before the stun though. When the cat came she could not pull aggro off of me so I had to continue to drain tank.

Finished the fight with 5k hp and 3k mana after dark pacting some.

Soloed easy on my 77 Blood Death Knight.

Threw Mark of Blood on him and started off with my usual rotation of Plague Strike, Icy Touch, Obliterate, and Heart Strike. Kept that rotation going until I would get low on health, then just use Death Strike and Rune Tap every time it came up.

I also recommend keeping up your Anti-Magic Shell whenever you can, as his fire damage hurts. A lot. Make sure you start with a ghoul, and sacrifice it if you need to. Another nice tip if you need a thorough heal is to hit him with Chains of Ice, get a good distance away, and bandage. Has saved my ass loads of times. :)

I tried this as a 77 BM with a gorilla. If you have a DPS pet, I highly doubt this will be soloable.

After reading this I thought it would be harder than it actually was. I was well fed, took the buff from the local god and am wearing mostly greens from northrend.

Basically, hunter marked, sent pet in, waited till he took one hit then hit mend pend, last stand, rapid fire and BW to get him down quickly. If you have intimidation, use it, he was stunned for 3 seconds and that makes a huge difference. I just spammed steady shot, also spamming mend pet.

Once you're stunned, I was able to gather health back with spirit bond. I didn't even use a health pot.

When the cat comes in, move within her HoT but far enough you can still hit from ranged. Gorilla did a great tanking job, but keep healing the pet and spam steady until kill shot pops up then hit that, Kill hit for 4.5k and that took him out. I had about 1k health left starting with 10K and mana about 7.5K.

Cat joined in, i died, cat was about to die,
now i decided to res myself and got a critical error.
After 3 tries of logging in i decided to go to repair wow thingy and it worked.
When i got back in the cat was alive and i nuked the rest of the prophet.

Soloed---but not without dying---as a 78 enhancement shaman in terribad gear (all greens with 2 or 3 blue quest rewards).

Let the earth elemental tank it til it died, then popped Feral Spirit and Shamanistic Rage. This kept me alive long enough to get Har'koa into the fight. Unfortunately, her arrival doesn't reset his threat table. Nevertheless, I was tanking it and staying alive til I ran out of mana to heal myself and died when he was around 50%. Blew self-rez, then burned Shamanistic Rage again to get mana back. Kept myself healed and used Feral Spirit when it came back up (though it probably wasn't entirely necessary to do so).

Throughout the fight, I used Grounding Totem whenever it was up, but I'm not sure if Earthshock could interrupt anything he cast.

Soloed as a 78 feral druid with the 10% stat buff. Didin't use the dieing trick, just tanked him all the way til the end, had to Barkskin x2, Berserk and Survival Instincts though. Died after killing him cos of the dot he left.

I solo'd this as a Affliction Lock (53/17/0). Lvl 79.

Main idea for a lock is having soul link with your VW up, and fel domination at the ready. I was able to down it to 80k range no problem. Once you break the threat threshold of the VW prepare to sack it. The sacrifice lasts a fair amount of time, and you can deal a lot of damage with your DoTs in full rotation.

I used Corruption, haunt, SL, CoA, Corr, Immolate, Shadow Bolt. then recast as needed, as my rotation.

Sadly the ally doesn't retain threat, so you'll be taking a beating, but I only had to use a Demonic Healthstone. It is challenging but a doable solo as a lock.

Remember to use death coil for the instant health.

Managed to solo this as an Unholy DK without Anti-magic Zone & without dying either. Few good tips, you should not use your ghoul for DPS at all - use it as an extra health potion. Keep the diseases up, death strike when it's up.

As the battle goes on you'll be able to get 2x death strikes in a row which will mostly negate everything the prophet does to you until the end when the stacked dots kick in.

You should have some buffs that can up your health though, some of the magic Prophet uses will hurt a lot. Once Har'koa comes it will be your dps and will provide some healing but dont forget to use your death strikes.

I soloed him as a 77th sub Rogue...I DPS'ed him and blew one pot before Har'Koa joined the fight. I died after the cat joined then ran back and found them still fighting. I dps'ed and ended up blowing one more pot before Har'Koa died and was just able to squeak by killing the boss without dying.

If you happen to die after Har'koa joins the fight, it's still possibly to release and run back to your body and continue fighting for quest credit. As long as your alive and standing there, you'll get the quest.

Newly dinged 78 Balance Druid in blue wotlk-gear with & lvl 76-spells here.

Had a near-death-experience here. I buffed up to the max with all the blessings from the statues and my own buffs, plus food and applied spelldmg to my staff. Constantly healed myself in normal form, had 1300 hp when I managed to burn his ass to 75%, he stunned me and proceeded to talk some crap.

The cat appears, the prophet oneshots me, the cat gains aggro. I run back as fast as I can, I let the cat tank through the fight, but apparently I moved away a bit too far (in stress thinking I've been silenced before I regained my senses) moved forth and the cat died with the prophet down to 20k hp. I nuked away like a crazy popping trinkets once again, had 500 hp when he died, the quest completed and I died off of a buff the prophet gave me.

In the end I didnt find anything special to do to him more than nuke with all you've got, no special tactic, just heal yourself for all youre worth and keep them dots/casts up and hope for the best.

Just had to run back to the camp to talk to the cat for turn-in, at first I was afraid I was going to have to do it once more - so don't worry if this happens... Hell yeah, this sure is a test of power. A real adrenaline-kick!

Solo'ed as rogue, full epic naxx gear. I had to make one dismantle, and a evasion then the event started and Har'koa appeared. After that, hitted vanish, start again. Try to be near Har'koa cause the aspect will start casting aoe heals and dps as much as you want.

I haven't seen this mentioned, but the attack "Flickering Flames" is probably the hardest part of the fight if you don't counter it. You must stand near Har'koa and his aura will cleanse it. otherwise it stacks stupid high and you die very fast.

Soloed as Unholy DK. Was a very easy fight, kept my health above 60% at all times just abusing death strike. Put on all my tanking gear and used ghoul for dps I also got the Blessing of Kings type buff from the altar in the camp before leaving which game me a good stam boost.

I basically rotated Bone Shield and IBF when required.

Solo'd as a decently geared Prot Warrior at 76. Key thing is to save your Spell Reflect for his Incinerates. Then LoL as he burns himself to death. Also save Enraged Regen for when you really need it. Pref when he's below 30%. Then just pop Last Stand and Enraged Regen and heal yourself back up.

How can there be this many posts and no one mentions the Flickering Flames dot?

Here's how to do it as a 76 Resto Druid wearing half cloth and half leather caster gear (all blues).

Phase 1 (burn him to 75% asap!)
Keep Rejuv, Regrowth & triple Lifebloom going as needed. NS+HT or Swiftmend if you get too low. Keep Moonfire up and spam Wrath. You may need to Innervate in this phase - do it and get phase 2 fast!

Phase 2 (outlast him)
Unlike other methods, I found that Shadow Meld was not helpful - my big kitty kept dying on me for some reason (cannot be healed!). So I just tanked it! Keep your auto-attack going for Omen of Clarity procs (I hope you have a quick dagger). Keep your Hots up like in phase 1, but here you don't need to dps as much. I only kept a Moonfire going and let the cat tear him up (positioned at his rear). I was able to outlast his dps and the annoying FLICKERING FLAMES that no one else mentioned (STACKING FIRE DOT! BEWARE!).

Side Note: After several trial runs with various methods attempted (including kiting which failed miserably), it seems that the Flickering Flames were applied more often the further away you stood from the summoning circle. I could be wrong! It just seemed that way. On my kill attempt I stood in the very middle and got no more than 6 to 8 stacks, which I could easily out-heal. When I stood towards the outside of the area it was much worse. Your attempts may vary...

Well, I've done this one solo as a lvl 76 Death Knight (Blood Specced). As soon as you are dead, doesnt mean the Quest is failed, if the kitty cat is still alive and he kills it, the Quest is still completed, so I say it is easily solo-able

I solo'ed this as a Mut Rogue in decent gear. Some epics some blues. I did die however and ran back and the big cat was still fighting but I at least had no aggro so I could unload all I wanted.

For those trying this solo or not. Just remember dieing doesn't mean you fail the quest. Get your butt back there.

Soloable by a 76 elemental shaman. Fairly easy just kinda kited him around a pillar.

Although I did die during the fight, the tiger was able to not die while i ran back to my corpse. So i ended up killing the prophet partially, dieing, then coming back and finishing the job. Worked out fairly well

By the way, if you die during this fight, it's not hard to corpse run, since the GY is pretty close and Har'Koa can hold the troll off pretty good.

I soloed as Blood DK, died once and corpse runned though...

Phase 1: Summon, dps dps dps... had to use Vampiric Blood and GotN, plus double rune tap and Medallion of Heroism.

Phase 2: Har'Koa comes to help, which is very good... had to use some more Rune Taps, and I even had to summon a ghoul, just to blow it up for the healing. I corpse runned once, when both Har'Koa and the troll was still alive. I dps'd him down along with the Tiger God and got it done.

I think that if I had done it in Frost Presence instead of Unholy, I would've survived...

Easy and fun quest, get it done!

Also note, when Har'koa spawns and joins the battle, stand directly next to her. When the Prophet does the AoE Dancing Flames attack, Har'koa will cast a spell which looks like Tranquility, which will heal you up and seemingly dispell the flame effects on you.

Alternatively you can die of course, because as stated the graveyard isnt that far away, but least it can save you a few gold in repairs.

After dieing twice, I found a cheap way around this. If you start the fight and make it as far as Har'koa, you can die and run back. As long as you rez before the fight ends or Har'koa dies, you should get credit.

Solo'ed at 79 unholy DK. I'm pure dps spec, meaning no anti-magic zone, no improved anti-magic shield, no improved dodge or stuff like that. All quest gear, except for Kaluak rep chest.

Bone shield, altar buff (+6 stats), and +30 crit/stam food buff. Pounded away and spammed death strike as much as possible. Was down to 77% hp when the kitty showed up.

My DK's a NELF, so I hit shadowmeld to drop aggro and let the kitty tank, then just beat away and he died pretty fast.

Main trick is: Whatever you can do to drop aggro and let the kitty tank, do it. The whole reason my DK is a NELF is specifically to be able to do that - since DKs have no aggro drop otherwise.

Soloed as a 78 Shadowpriest

Tactics: Get Blessings of Zim'Torga and Zim'Rhuk, the best healing potion you can get and some food that gives you crit. The crit will be needed for the first part of the fight.

Summon the prophet. While he talks, cast Power Word: Shield, then Renew and enter Shadowform. Cast Vampiric Touch while he approaches you, your shield can take it. Soon as it is cast, start "kiting" him while you cast Vampiric Embrace, Shadow Word: Pain and Devouring Plague. Pray that one of them stuns him, it helps, just like the last few ticks of Renew does :-D
Once they have been cast, you can renew your Shield and start Mind Flay on him. Use Power Word: Death and maybe Mind Blast if you feel like it, but not needed. Just get as much damage in as possible. Drink the potion as soon as you have sustained more damage than the max amount it can give you.
When you get stunned and he starts the dialog, exit shadowform. Spam shield, then immideatly heal yourself to max and Fade every now and then until Har'Koa has aggro. when that happens, enter Shadowform and blast away as you like.

I finished the first part with less than 500hp (total of 12778) like this and Har'Koa died only a few seconds before the prophet, so it can be done.

soloable 80 frost mage. at 3/4 health, the prophet gives a little speech, and harkoa shows up. harkoa then tanks for you, but the prophet casts some spells on you still. if you die, they keep fighting so just run back and pick up where you left off.

its much easier than it seems at first.

Solo'd as a 76 ret paladin, very shady. Used everything I had, blew wings to drop him fast, had to LoH and runic health pot, fight lasted long enough to bubble at the end. Just stood right in front of him and wailed away the entire time, had 2k health (of 10.8k total) left when he died.

I managed to solo both this part and the beginning quests with ease as a 77 Blood DK and never went below 40% HP. Blow all your CD's at the beginning on this fight. At around 75%ish he will stun you and Har'koa will come help you. I managed to not die and I tanked him the whole fight. Spam Death Strike whenever it's up and keep your poisons up. I was able to pop my two trinkets twice this fight, so that helped a little at the end. My gear consists of Northrend quest greens/blues and a few dungeon pieces.

I just soloed this guy as a lvl 76 Unholy DK with mixed blue/green gear. To get him down to 75% was relatively easy (took me about 20 secs). Switched to frost presence before i even started and spammed the hell outa Death Strike. Before i even started the fight i found the location of the cemetery so if i die i know how to get back fast. When the cat showed up i switched to Blood Presence and started hitting my trinkets any chance i would get. Finished up in a ghoul form with time to spare to get to cemetery and die there so my return to body wasnt a lengthy one (either way it wouldn't have been). One word of advice for DKs is keep the Frost Presence on till the finish that, could have saved me but at the end I didnt mind.

For Holy Priests: I soloed it at level 80 with blues. As written above, the fight has two phases:
Phase 1 (till 75% health) is simple - keep DoTs and Holy Fire on him, while shielding and healing yourself. No trouble there.
Phase 2 has two problems you should be aware of:
- Prophet casts Flickering Flames DoT which stacks and can't be dispelled by Dispel Magic. You need to stay close to Har'koa who dispels it.
- If the fight takes too long, the Prophet kills Har'koa and the whole event resets. Har'koa cannot be healed and the time is not much long. It took me three attempts until I realized that I have to forget about healing myself (except occasional Renew) and concentrate full firepower on the Prophet.

Extremely easy to solo for a rogue of any spec.

Prophet himself is immune to stuns, blow evasion and spam your skills, be it SS or Shiv. At 90 or 80% he will cast a spell which will lock you down in a stun. There will be dialogue and Har'Koa appears, the giant cat you've been helping out all these whiles. Throw Vanish when your health is 30-40% and let the cat tank for you. Feint often because Har'Koa deals very little damage and hits slow.

Phase 2, Prophet does a 500 HP tick DOT AOE. He also leaves debuffs which increase fire damage taken, CLoS as necessary, but Har'Koa is capable of healing 650 from time to time. I suspect he also dispels debuffs but I cannot confirm that.

Possibly only possible on a rogue. Prophet's AoE damage ticks will knock a Shadowmeld out of commission and he will resume aggro on you. I don't recommend NEs trying to shadowmeld, but welcome to try and post results.

soloed as a 78 frost spec human Dk, i got the buff from the god at Zim, +10% to stats, tanked it in frost presence, kept IT, PS, BS, DS rotation up, and also hit RS and FS when i could. also popped icebound fortitude. I died after the boss did because i didnt know that the fire debuff stays with you but otherwise it was an ok fight.

Solo'ed as a lvl 79 haunt/SL lock with imp out (mostly S4 geared).
Use demon armor and heal yourself as much as you can (siphon life + drain life + haunt must be used as much as possible). Dark pact to get more mana. I used soulshatter but kept on draining life so I kept the aggro for the whole fight. Just had to use 1 healthstone and I had the +10% stats buff from the statue. Pretty easy.

just to have the class in here, soloed as a 76 sl/gf warlock. above statements all hold true, stay close to Har'koa as soon as he spawns for the cleanse, and as for warlock specific I just popped CoW, SL and Corruption, health funneling alternated with drain life once the cat is there to keep the fg alive. In the end, the fg did die, but with the cat holding aggro it wasn't an issue.

One thing though, once the fight ends, Har'koa runs off pretty fast, and you could end up like me with a tick for roughly 1k on yourself, going for another 15secs. Countered by eating, but in case you mount up and run off :p

Solo'd as a 75 Holy Paladin. I died once and came back to see Har'koa still engaging the prophet. This was very difficult, as holy pallies do the least amount of damage, and they have the lowest health out of the three pally specs. The key is to know when to use your bubble to dispel the debuff before Har'koa spawns. I recommend that you use it when you have the debuff stacked 8 - 10 times on you. Just make sure you stay above 2000 health and you should be fine.

Swirlyeyes posted a great strategy for rogues. I found that after Phase 2 started, Har'koa held aggro well after I vanished at 40% and healed. I was able to get in 4 or 5 good backstabs before Akali turned on me...and by then it was too late...for him.

Solo as a 76 Warlock - affliction spec.
As a note, he is not: fearable, and can't use CoE (Curse of Exhaustion).

Phase 1: Your main priority is to find a way to keep aggro off you long enough to get Akali below 75%. I did this buy using my Infernal. Let him take aggro (as he has a good 20k+ HP), and DOT him down with a few nukes nearer to 75. Make sure when you do this, stand to the southern most edge of the steps. I made the mistake of standing right in the middle when phase 2 started, by getting hit for 2k and dieing.

Phase 2: Har'koa comes and acts as your tank. As others have stated, you can die and run back, and cat will still be fighting. Stand next to the cat, and you wont get more than 4-5 of the fire DOTs on you. Throughout, the aim is to keep replenishing health as the fire attacks hurt a bit after the long run. but not to aggro. When both Akali and Har'koa are getting down to 10-15% hp, nuke the hell out of it. I finished it the same time har'koa died.

To finish the quest, return to Har'Koa at Zim'Torga, in which you will be given Unfinished Business for the next quest.

As a smaller note: This quest got me the Zul'Drak quest achievement, (without doing the quest to go to Amphitheater of Anguish from Dalaran)

Soloed as 76 blood spec dk. Wore tanking gear and went in frost presence, still got hit for just over 1k each time. pop cooldowns early, rune tap, mark of blood and icebound fortitude. Once he hits 75% there will be some time while he converses with har'koa during which your cds will continue, so once that was over my rune tap and icebound fortitude were up again. In the end had to use 1 pot to avoid dying, had about 30% hp left at the end. stand next to the cat. I ended up tanking the whole thing because I was too impatient to wait for the cat to build aggro.

For those without Coords, Here is a Map of where you need to go.

Don't worry if at first it seems like your loosing.
You only need to get the Prophet of Akali down to 75% health.
At that point he will cast Akali's Stun and Har'Koa Will appear to help you.
Removing the stun affect, and casting Quenching Mist Which will heal you for 650 every 2 sec. Making the rest of the fight considerably easier.

Note: Immune to Hammer of Justice

Solo'd as a 76 Draenai Blood\Unholy (25/0/42) DK. Although I didn't have to use my racial HoT. Just put up magic shield every time he casts (when your cooldown is up), use your healing talents often. Use IBF, Mark, Rune Tap, Death Tap, etc. Manage your cooldowns (as you will have to when your tanking at 80) and this is an easy fight.

Easily soloable as lvl 77 moonkin.

Just dot and kite him, heal yourself. He moves a bit faster than 100% speed, so use your travel form. At 80% he will stun you and Har'koa will come, I shadowmelded at this point. Har'koa tanked him for the rest of the fight. Stay close to Har'koa, she will remove fire dot stacks and heal you for 650 every 2 secs. Just be careful to not pull aggro and that's all.

I nuked him to 75%
(almost died, but the debuff went gone and I got stunned during the sequence stuff).
The tiger gets up, I nuked all I could, died, runned back, nuked a bit more, boss was then around 3%.. I stayed dead and watched the tiger killed him (since I knew I wouldnt make it back in time)

still got the complete.. :)
So its soloable with any class IF you can burst him down to 75% befor you die the first time.

Just solo'd this is a 77 feral druid in mostly blues and like 2 greens. the trick is like everyone has been saying pop every cooldown u have right away and get him down to 75% (88k hp roughly) health and there will be a semi long (~1 min) cut scene then u will die. just take a casual walk back to your corpse and har'koa will be killing him, i went wrong way for like 10 seconds then ran back and he was at 45% hp so theres no rush. when you are fighting though, stay near har'koa because his mist wil heal you and remove the dancing flame de-buff

Alt-tabbing back, I saw that Har'koa had killed the prophet solo from a solid 30-35% health, and I had completed the quest.

I soloed this today with lvl 80 frost mage. As of patch 3.0.8 it seems that you can't resume the fight after dying so you're going to need an aggro dump ability (invisibility, feign death) to solo this. Here's my advice yo frost mages.

Phase 1: as posted above put on frost barrier and fire ward, and summon water elemental to chew his hp down while you kite with blink and spam frost lance and fire blast, if you're lvl 80 you can use mirror image to get his attention off you for a second. Don't use cold snap to get another elemental if you don't really need to. The extra dps is needed in phase two.

Phase 2. This is down to surviving his aoe, which he does all the time. You just need to dps him down before the aoe kills you. Har'koa heals you a little so that will help somewhat. Immediately pop invisibility when the stun fades, so that your aggro is dumped and har'koa will tank him for you. at this point you should have cold snap, icy veins, and dps trinkets you might have and mirror image if you didn't need it in phase one. Pop all those and dps him down with your elemental while using frost barrier and fire ward each time they're up. Use a potion if you need to.

I solo'd this on my shaman. I submitted a screeny, we'll see if it goes through. Just do NOT blow all your cool downs at the beginning of the fight. Any class. I did it and my first fight I spent the rest of the fight casting lesser healing wave as much as possible WITHOUT spirit wolves (OP OP OP), shamanistic rage, and Blood Fury. I died on my first fight.

2nd fight I toughed it out till he drops to 90 percentish health? When the panther jumped in I dropped spirit wolves, shamanistic rage, and Blood Fury. Plowed this guy down just seconds after Shamanistic rage ended it's 15 second duration :P

The only special trick he seems to yield is the long duration stun at 90% health, at which he does not attack you AND when the fight was over I noticed I had a DoT that ticked for 1k dmg every 3 seconds? I think. I mounted up and saw the DoT ticking and started spamming lesser healing wave lol. But I lived.

PS shamans, your Earth Elemental pet would also be pretty viable in this fight. I blew mine on the first fight... The stun duration ruined most of it anyway. But could use your Earthy for the beginning of the fight then switch to spirit wolves when the cat joins in. You won't die :)

Easily soloed as an 80 afflic lock. No 80 gear, just mostly 75+ blues. Summoned VW, sent him in, popped all my cooldowns (trinkets + orc racial) and started up my whole DoT rotation. burnt him down to 90% in a matter of seconds, then watched the cut scene. Damage and Drain Life fast enough, and Har'Koa won't be able to pull aggro. The AoE heal he casts will remove a stack of the fire debuff. Just burn him down fast and you should be fine. I got low and sacc'd my VW for his 8k shield, and did it easily. No death, only one health stone. Over all another easily soloed group quest for locks =P

When Har'koa if you die and you go ress, you can just stand on the side line and watch. Soloed it at lvl 75. Just try to stay alive until Har'koa comes to aid you, then the rest is very easy.

Level 80 hunter with a Worm pet here. Soloed him with a few flaws.

The worm pet has a stacking sunder armor that works with other sunders, and is just as good as a warrior's sunder. The worm has increased threat generation, being a Tenacity pet with improved growls and a taunt. There's also a nice skill that increases how much it is healed by.

Start the ritual to summon him like normal, and send the pet in. Let the pet get aggro while you only mend pet for the first part of the fight. You'll want to save your cooldowns. When he stuns you, prepare to go crazy, since the worm (or any other tank pet you have) will have aggro still. Harkoa can't match a tenacity pet's aggro, so my worm and I were stuck with aggro through the fight. As a hunter, Har'Koa's buff that weakens the flame debuff didn't reach me when I was far off, so I had to run over. I nearly died here because of it (1k damage per 3 sec for 12 seconds, kept restacking).

If you soloed the previous quest as a hunter, you most certainly can solo this one. Just make sure your pet keeps aggro and that you stand near Harkoa (East side of the altar). This was done at level 80, but my gear is around a 77 level.

Just soloed as 78 retri pala.

I'm draenei and herbalist so I used both Gift of the Naaru and Lifeblood in phase 1.
Also some luck on Holy Light critting and proccing Sheathe in p1.

Phase 2 was easy tho, had to use bubble to bandage and healup towards the end.
Also popped wings in the beginning of phase2 and he burned down pretty fast.

Nice strat swirlyeyes! Can confirm it works that way (without dying), being lvl77 myself.

tl;dr version:

- max burst dmg & evasion for 100%-75%
- at 75% there's a cutscene
- vanish when cat is infight
- dps away in range of the aoe heal/dispel, manage threat with faint

Being pvp-specced myself, I had to use evasion twice with prep burning him from 100-75%, pve spec should burn him faster anyways tho. Got a cheap flask from dunnowhere (120ap), Blessing of Zim'Abwa and Blessing of Zim'Torga.

Since by now everyoone knows its soloable, i'll just add something I found out while i killed him on my Druid.

I actually died in Phase 2 , so the Prophet started hittin on Har'Koa. So i released and ran back. The Kitty was on 5% the Prophet on 20% so i was able to heal my self and finish him of myself after Har'koa died.

So short version is : If u die, hurry up and go back u can continue the fight without failing the Quest

This strat didn't work for me, since you have to get him to 75% and the first phase is when you take the most damage by far. I died several times, then tried blowing spirit wolves right away - made it very simple to get to 75%. After that, the cat spawns, but you still have aggro. I just stood there and healed myself through his damage until the cat had aggro, then used fire elemental totem and heroism and shamanistic rage and went to town. I used wind shocks if I started to catch up to the cat again and sat right on the cat to mitigate the fire dots. Pretty easy this way, the "nuking to 75% with no CDs, then going all out and burning him down with aggro" approach is much more difficult unless you have very good gear.

Solo'ed as a destro lock.

As mentioned in a comment before, it's crucial you bring the prophet down to 75% asap without taking too much damage from the Dancing Flames debuff (fire damage each 3 seconds, they hurt!). Around 75% he'll stunlock you, then Har'koa appears and will fight with you.

Import here is that you let Hark'oa tank (which mean you'll probably have to pop Soulshatter). From now on, stay very close to Har'koa, because he has Quenching Mist around him (similar to the druid Tranquility spell, but on a smaller scale), which heals you for 650 every 2 seconds and seems to occasionally dispell the flame debuff.

Keep it up with Lifetap + health potions + Health stone and you should be fine.

Easily soloable just doesn't cut it. I figured out by accident that if you die, you can take a short run back, finish him off, and still get credit. As long as Har'koa is alive, you can continue running back to your body.

I was doing this quest solo as a Fire Mage, when are more squishy than most other classes. At 75%, after Har'koa arrives he killed me, and I ran back. After that, I popped a potion and stayed close to Har'koa for the healing, and I managed to do fine.

Even if you're not as great of a player as these 76's soloing, or even if you just play a really squishy class, this becomes less of a "Can I survive long enough?" issue, and more of a DPS race to take him out before Har'koa dies.

77 Elemental Shaman - Soloed Strat

Lay down totems off the start, and just alternate nuking and heal when you get down to 50% or so. Phase 1 will be over very fast.

Phase 2 starts after the stun, and when Har'koa comes in. At this point, I was hoping that I could have Har'koa pull aggro off me while I just healed and did no damage. Then decided it was taking too long so I did dmg, too.
-Keep up Flame Shock
-Pretty much only had time for keeping Lava Burst on cooldown
-Rest of the time was eaten up by me healing myself with LHW

With that strat, he went down VERY easily, though 85% to 0% took about 3 minutes with me only doing that minimal DPS I mentioned above.

In retrospect, I could have pulled out Earth Elem or Heroism to make it even easier, but I did neither, and frankly it didn't matter a lick.

TLDR: Elem shammies, you too, need not fear this quest. Have fun. :)

Soloed as an 80 resto druid, died with him having 10k health left but the big cat still attacked him and i got back in time, if your healing spec i suggest having someone else there cause healers cant do enough damage (Atleast i couldnt) but the rest of the quests are fairly simple and very soloable.

I soloed this at level 76 as unholy DK. had to sacrifice 2 ghouls and didnt end up in ghoul form (died on the first try).

I used a runic heal potion and got about 3 crit heart strikes in the last phase...so lucky, the cat healed me also.

The long stun he does is good time to rest your cooldowns like i got my ghoul.

I soloed this as a 77 lock. Spec is 25/43/0.

I sent in my FG and laid Immo, SL, CoA and Corruption on him then just Health Funneled my FG taking time to reset my DoT's. Got him down to 75% in no time. After Har'koa showed up, I was having trouble keeping my FG and myself in good health, so I just started using Drain Life and said to hell with my pet. Once my pet died I had aggro, so he came over and killed me quick. I had my soulstone up, so I just popped back up and threw up a couple DoT's and used DL. By the time I started using DL, after I died, he was at around 8k health.

I don't have any uber gear, just greens and blues from questing and the occasional instance. I bet someone better geared or better played could keep themselves and pet up for the duration.

Soloed with minor difficulty as an 80 Blood Elf Paladin Ret Spec'ed. I had to have all of the blessings of the Zul'Drak Gods, Blessing of Might, and had Seal of Command activated.

I had the following spells and items ready for the time:

Lay on Hands
Divine Shield
Runic Healing Potion

I just had Har'koa Tank, and I spanked with using Lay on Hands towards the end. Finished this bout with 1205/17504 Health remaining.

The cat isn't enough to take him down anymore - if left alone, he will kill the cat with at least 30-40k of health left.. If you die and run back (and rez), the AOE will kill you - it has a huge range. Was hitting mail for 400-500 every couple of seconds.

I pulled this off solo as a 79 frost mage, but it took popping a couple pots as well as dying and running back. The graveyard isn't far, so if you're down while Har'koa is up it is still very doable.

This quest is soloable by pretty much everyone. It's little more than a matter of being able to survive until he loses 20-25% of his health (some people say he does the Stun at 80%, others say 75%). Pet classes and classes with high armor (all Plate-wearers and Balance/Feral Druids) are likely to have an easier time, but anyone who can find a way to survive his melee and Fire attacks until Har'koa shows up should do fine.
Just make sure to stand next to her (so you get the heal/dispel buff), and let her absorb as much of the Prophet's damage as possible.

Easily soloed as a 77 unholy DK. Equipped tanking gear (mostly crafted and quest blues), used frost presence, and had the Blessing of Zim'Torga buff. Used death strike to keep my health topped off, sacrificed my ghoul for the health when he was almost dead from the fire damage, but other than that just burned him down as fast as possible. Would have been even faster if I hadn't used my gargoyle before his little speech (effectively wasting it).

solo'd with 77 warlock demonolgy spec, used felguard, healthstone, soul stone, runic healing pot. hit him with curse of agony, corruption, immolate then start incinerate until he puts his sheild on and har'koa comes after that he's prolly gonna kill ur pet and kill you simply let ahr'koa hit him for a lil bit then pop ur soulstone and revive felguard with fel domination sit and eat while har'koa is still hitting him once ready use metamorphosis and follow same procedurs from earlier shoudl ahve no problem

Solod as a bear spec druid. He died with me at 2.5k health. In my brilliance, I ignored the DoT and didn't heal, so I ended up dying anyway. -.- Popped barkskin twice, frenzied regen once, and a runic health pot once. I probably wouldn't have needed to if I had read the comments here and shifted to kitty form once Harkoa showed up. As the case may be, I tanked him the whole time instead of Harkoa. >>

Solo'd as a 79 shadow priest, but only after a couple of mulligans. Har'koa comes in at 75% Prophet health (around 87k of 117k). I must have lit him up cause I couldn't shake aggro for a while even with Fade. He chased me all around the temple until I OOM'd (and died).

Next round, I tried just hanging close to Har'koa and healing myself. The prophet killed her (and then me) so it doesn't look like she can hold her own against the prophet.

I finally completed the quest by sticking close to Har'koa the entire fight AND contributing DPS/DOTs. I didn't go all out on DPS since Har'koa's AoE heal didn't seem to keep up with Akali's attacks. I healed myself about 30% of the time. I still ended up dead right before the end, but I didn't release and got credit when Har'koa finally KO'd the Prophet.

Soloed as a 76 Blood Deathknight just now without dieing.

The key to the fight as blood is to burn your Cooldowns (Mark of blood, Vampiric Blood, Rune tap etc.) while keeping your diseases up for higher DS heals.
Furthermore, activate A-MS and IF whenever possible to lower the dmg outcome of him.

Burning trough the first 25% was awfully easy, and found myself at 100% at the end of phase 1 - Just keep your DS's up and you'll be fine :-)

And if all else fails, as above stated, ressurect and re-enter the fight with the cat tanking!

Soloed as a 76 enchan shammy. It was fun but challenging and I ended up dying literally 2 secs after he did.

Piece of advice, save just about everything until he stops yapping. I forgot he does that long talk so I ended up having my wolves, heroism, and a fire elemental out when he started yapping his head off. The wolves basically got wasted and heroism too. I'd suggest just popping Gift of the Naaru and maybe the fire/earth elemental at the start. Mine was up until the end so it will stay up through his talking phase. After that, pop wolves and/or heroism. This guy does that nasty stacking debuff so its important to get him down as quick as possible. You may end up having to spam heal yourself and just let Har'koa, the elemental, and (if you have them up) the wolves beat on him. Shamanistic rage is also a help if you run low on mana (as I did) as well as switching from lightning shield to water. At the end I ended up going oom and died right after him. Still got quest complete though.

Soloed as a 76 Ele shaman. Put Earth elemental to tank in the beginning. When it died, the prophet did the stun thing and Har'koa came. Only problem was that when Har'koa came, I couldn't get the aggro off of me, and just had to spam heal. When Har'koa took the aggro, it became easier to kill him, just had to heal every once in a while. Used 1 Runic mana potion in the fight. ended up with 30% hp and Har'koa had something like 50-60%.

I found out that if you survive long enough for Har'koa to arrive then you can die and come back to keep fighting and the prophet's health doesn't regenerate as long as Har'koa is still alive to fight him.

76 Blood DK, Just keep your diseases up DS all the time, only use one HS so you leave one blood rune open for Rune Tap if you get in trouble. Popped haste trinket and DRW after the cat came, AMS and IF a lot. Used Rune tap only once or twice. Way easier then people were saying.

His speed seems to have been buffed and is no longer kitable with icelance/fireblast spam (he's moving at around 110-120% speed). Even with blinks, two iceblocks, two water elementals, it's very difficult to get him into phase 2 as he melees for 2-4k per swing whenever he catches you. Try to save your iceblocks for when his dot is stacking too high. Best of luck to you undergeared frost mages.

I found this fight rough for a 76 prot pally in defense gear. Ret pallies seem to have to it easier from others' posts. I hope you're a ret pally.

For protadin, go in with Fire Resistance Aura SoL, JoL, and pop DP when mana becomes an issue. He hits weak but around the 10th stack of that fire debuff, you spend quite a bit of time healing. Use HoJ and DP or DS every time it's up.

Once the cat comes, you're still tanking, cat never touched my hate.and I wasn't doing anything to try to hold hate, the fire debuff will wear mostly and the heals become easier. I switched to SoW here and tossed in some aoes and occasional nukes.

76 ret pala, very easily soloed.

Blessing of Wisdom, Seal of Wisdom, Judgement of Light.
Judgement, Crusader Strike, Divine Storm, heal yourself. Rince and repeat for the whole fight. Started off with fire resist aura, but didn't seem to help anything, so switched to retri aura as the cat spawned for the extra damage. Fight ended at 90% hp 100% mana. No cooldowns needed (bubble, LoH, pot etc). Debuff never goes above 5 stacks (nerfed maybe?), so don't worry about it, his damage is easily outhealable.

This may have already been mentioned but I thought to add this anyways. If you are attempting to solo the quest and do end up getting killed while attempting to kill Akali all is not lost. If you did a sufficient amount of damage before dying Har'Koa can still kill Akali and the quest will still complete, just make sure to not release spirit before Akali dies, sit back and watch Har'Koa complete quest for you.

It should be mentioned also that a sufficient amout of damage will most likely require you to take Akali down 10k HP lower than Har'Koa's total HP at the time you die.

Just did the quest in the way I just mentioned and got it complete, cheers :D. If this doesn't work for you I apologize, I promise it worked for me, good luck.

He hit me for 1k melee, 1.7k crit. After the Har' Koa showed up i popped enraged regeneration and was back at about 100%. Just used shield block/ shield wall and a pot. At about 10% I used last stand and by then the prophet was at about 7%. I died but didnt release and Har' Koa finished him off and completed quest for me :D

Solo'd at 77 as a rather poorly geared Protection Warrior.

Buffed myself before the fight with Commanding Shout, a Flask of Endless Rage (technically left over from the quest before it), some +60AP food, and a Scroll of Stamina VI.

Went in, summoned the Prophet, Charged him, and immediately popped Shield Wall. Laid into him as hard as I could with Shield Slam, Devastate, and Revenge, as he's immune to stuns, rendering Concussion Blow and Shockwave useless. Popped Enraged Regeneration when my health started to dip. Eventually Har'Koa showed up, but sadly he does not immediately take aggro, so I kept taking the brunt of the Prophet's attacks until I eventually died when the Prophet was around 12%.

The run back to the fight is quick, and Har'Koa was still alive and well, and had aggro, so I just rezzed and finished him off. Voila. Not terribly difficult at all. I honestly am starting to think all the buffs were overkill. At any rate, Protection Warriors with gear from previous quests or better can likely solo this with ease.

NOTE: You will NOT fail the quest if Har'koa happens to die. I was attempting to solo this on my 76 destro lock, and Har'koa came by when the prophet hit 88K health. I had to use a pot and healthstone to avoid getting bashed to death while Harkoa took aggro. About 1 minute after Har'koa took aggro, the dot ended up killing me. Ran back, Har'koa was at 50% and the Prophet was at 45 or so. I raced to finish him off before he killed Harkoa, but ti was too late. She died and left the prophet with about 10K health, which I quickly bursted down...quest complete, no failed criteria. I handed in the quest to a very much alive Har'koa back at camp.

Tips for locks:

Voidwalker can eat about 8 hits before it goes down.
Make sure to soulstone yourself, because you'll probably die at least once.
Soulshatter right after Har'koa appears.

78 Prot pally here.

Had a lot of difficulty with this quest, getting him down then getting out of mana, burst dps is fine, but that fire debuff was really hurting me. If you bubble, you de-aggro and the Har-Koa gets killed.

In the end what did it was using Blessing of Sancturary, as well as Seal of Vengeance (as well as the Zul'Darak kings/wis buffs). I did die during the fight, but didnt even bubble before he was down to 75%, when I eventually did die, there was more than enough time to come back and help the tiger finish him off. I also had fire aura on, and +def gear 449 Def before buffs. Hope this helps

Combat Rogue Level 75 Solo

-Used the Zul'Drak buffs for some added dps
-Dont use evasion/cloak right away, he doesnt engage you immediately and you'll waste it
-Used Blade Flurry and Killing Spree when he started, then used evasion and dropped him enough for Har'koa to show up
-After the dialogue I used VANISH (the fight wont reset with Har'koa on him) and then bandaged
-Stood back while Har'koa gained some threat and used Cloak to avoid the fireballs
-After about 15 seconds I started attacking him from behind, used Adrenaline Rush and let loose on him (Har'koa holds aggro for quite a while)
-Use a pot here if you really need to, otherwise done!

Just soloed as a recently dinged lvl 80 arcane mage. Got mostly blue gear and 2 heirloom items. Started by poping the clones, then just let them tank until he reached 75% and stunned everything. When Har'koa came, I poped Lifeblood (as I'm a herbalist) and invisibility. With 0 threat, it was easy. Just kept Fire Ward up and dps'd.

Just dropped shamanistic rage as soon as possible to reduce incoming damage and beat on him til the intermission. By the time you're able to attack again shamanistic rage will be ready again and you'll be good to go. I dropped wolves and fire elem and bloodlusted for some extra fun. Destroyed him very quickly and wolves kept me at full health the whole time.

I know this is a bug and whatnot but I was at about 20% when the random dungeon finder que popped and I entered it. When I came out Akali was at the same percent he was at when I left him at but I was back at full health and had the buffs that I had received from my group.

Guess the moral of the story is if you are having problems soloing it, jump in a dungeon que :)

Soloed as a newly leveled 80 BM hunter. Fairly easy, just have your pet tank, and refresh mend pet periodically, popping wrath when it's up, until Har'koa comes in.

On a side note, I actually had Loque'nahak as a pet, so it looked kinda cool when both Loque and Har'koa were fighting him :D

Sent in VW, Curse of the Elements, Corruption... once my the health of my VW went low, I started to nuke to get aggro. Stunned by the prophet for a while and then I just continued nuking... Used Sacrifice, Shadowfury, Death Coil, health stone and a runic health potion just to be sure.

Easily soloed with an Unholy DK, lvl 77 in frost presence and using Death Strike to gain hp...After 1 minute, with rotations and Death Strike, he dropped dead and I was 90+% hp. His hp frightens you in the beginning, but it's not a people quest for me...

PS. People, make sure you get the "buffs" from Zim'Torga and the others, they help a lot...

Fairly easy solo as a 77 ret paladin. Only buffs were might, ret aura, seal of command and the two buffs from the shrines. Just went through the same motions that I use on a normal mob and healed when my health dropped below 70%. Didn't take long to get the prophet to 75%. When Har'koa came to help, it was a lot easier. I didn't even have to pop shield or lay on hands. This quest was actually a lot easier than the one before it.

Just solo'd as a 79 Boomchicken in quest gear.

Started out the fight with all the Zul'Drak buffs, Druid buffs, and Regrowth/Rejuv/Lifebloom. Popped Starfall and Barkskin right away. Nuked him down to 75% pretty fast and I managed to pop off a Rejuv right before the stun so I was fully healed during the little cut-scene.

As soon as the cut-scene ended (helps to know what the final line is they say) I threw my HoT's back up and popped Force of Nature and Barkskin. Starfall came off cooldown shortly afterwards which helped finish him.

Soloed as lvl 77 Boomkin. No pushback by typhoon so thats hard. u should pop up heals and barkskin. I died at %15 but when I run back the fight was still goin on with that cat god and that troll prophet. So you can run when u died to continue fight.

The Unholy DK solo is 100% confirmed.

Use lots of death strike to heal, you'll no doubt die but just run back, res and continue where you left as the cat continues the fight for you but don't let her kill him alone or you won't get the kill.

Pretty easily solo'd as a 76 shadow priest. 1100 spell power self buffed, 50 hit, 9.44% crit, 376 haste.

Basically, PW:S before you summon, summon, kill, recast PW:S as needed. Make sure to stay in Shadowform and keep VE up, as well as all three DoT's. When Har'koa came, I switched out of Shadowform, healed myself up, went back in Shadowform and DPS'd until I was nearly OOM, at which point I refreshed DoT's and popped Dispersion. Came back with higher health and enough mana to finish him off.

Soloed as a BM hunter with bear pet at level 78, used BW, KC and RP, kept mend pet up the whole fight and used taunt and intimidation when the pet lost aggro, then when my pet hit around 40% I used last stand, Har'Koa's heals did help quite a bit.

Soloed as a 77 frost mage in dungeon blues.
All the comments that tell you to nuke are your friend. When I went toe to toe it worked; no kiting. Summoned him, got some distance, Icy Veins when he became attackable, Frostbolt till he was in melee range, Ice Barrier, Fire Ward, Frostbolt again until the moment I started taking damage when I popped Cold Snap and Ice Barriered again. Icy Veins and Frostbolt spam until I started taking damage again and then Lifeblood/ Runic Healing potion and nuke. Dialogue ended, popped Invisibility, got into Har'koa's healing range and nuked again.
Glad I tried again after dying 3 times with other strats. Good luck.

76 Frost Mage. I found it really easy using the Mirror Image trick,
pop mirror image when the fight starts and then you can nuke as much as you want without getting aggro as long as mirror image is still up. Hence Prophet will attack water elemental first, which gives you ample time to nuke until Har'Koa shows up.

Soloed him as a 76 frost mage. It was VERY close cause I couldn't ice block to lose agro once the kitteh came to help. Hes immune to all slows so be aware of that.

Solo'd as a lv 76 feral cat.

Just kept all my bleeds up and when needed kited him around while using RJ->3x LB->cat form again. Never dipped under 75% health with quest gears, and once mama cat popped in it was a piece of cake.

I had Predatory Strikes up and had my finger on Healing Touch just in case, but it wasn't necessary.

Solo'd as a 77 destro lock with quest/dungeon blues and greens, no problem. At 75%, Akali stuns everyone, and the Leopard god comes out, and they chat for about 45 seconds. I know that's how long it was, because I summoned my doomguard just before the stun, and he disappeared just before the stun came off. So he was useless. I lost my blue guy during the fight, insta-summoned him back to keep agro off. Other than that, it was a pretty simple fight. Went down to about half health.

I have to agree. Thats true, most of the time. I solo'd this quest as a blood DK, level 76. I just brought out my minion and used bone shield. I died once, I think, but still ended up killing the prophet. Pretty easy quest, if you ask me.

I did this quite easily as a level 77 hunter. I just kept healing my pet and stopped attacking when I was close to taking agrro, and i just killed it like that. I flew in and did not kill any mobs.

Hmmm - I am never one of those I'm so uber & this is easy if you die you're stupid types. But I was expecting a lot worse than I got -

76 demonology warlock, felguard, full set of glyphs. My gear is ALL level 70 PvP gear, but BiS enchants & gems, and 2 darkmoon cards. For buffs, I think I had a food buff, brilliant wiz oil, and 2 of the zone buffs. Had a healthstone & SS on standby, but never even close to touching them.

When I saw the summoning area, I followed someone's advice above, and went to the edge of the southern stairs - but there are stationary mobs all around the outside edge, and I was worried about aggro. So I went back to center, summoned, and backed up to the base of the stairs. My FG positioned between me & the circle.

When he showed, I started spamming FG attack. The second engage was possible, I popped demonic empowerment and then whirlwind, followed by my normal openers. I got through 1 full rotation (and a fel imp popped from my bane, as well), and he was coming for me, when DoTs triggered the next phase.

Har'koa jumped in in front of me, and the FG was already basically right on top of his reset position. Hit Metamorph, then I dropped the infernal on where I guessed him to be, another HoG for good measure, then hit DE and WW again. I threw a couple of health funnels, but don't even think they were necessary?

The main reason I am writing this?

1) I'm not an uber player. So maybe it was nerfed some?

2) There are mobs in the immediate area - if you will kite, you have limited space.

3) warlock? I chose CotE, but CoT may be more effective.

No kiting/moving for me at all - just stand and deliver. If you are a pet class in decent gear, pretty sure you can do this at 74/75/76.

remember: at 77, Cata-itemized green BoE gear is available . . . which would make this beyond breezy.

I actually came here to look for the breadcrumb to the next quest hub, but everyone's going on about worthless "I soloed this as..." information.

With all Dungeon Quest NPCs being moved inside the dungeons as of late, the quest hub after this quest and Zim'Torga is north, at the Flight Path near Gundrak.
