When you kill the trolls that are abundant around.

The trolls will only count if they are close to a Soul Font, which will give them a debuff, if they don't have that debuff they don't count

The Soul Fronts are scattered around the path near the quest giver.

Just go down the stairs from quest giver and you 'll see two statues glittering. Those are the Soul Fonts.

You can pull mobs towards the Soul Front before killing them. They will get the "Soul Front Void" buff within few seconds, giving you credit.

(just in case you were wondering whether they already have to be at the soul front or not)

Hmmm have lured two and killed them right on top of the soul font. But no credit. The game is kind of laggy right now. Could this be bugging the quest?

Easy quest for AOE's. Unholy DK just go to lower level aggro near the SOUL FONT and AOE. Same for other classes.

There is more Soul Fonts down the second set of stairs around 73,58.

When they get within (I believe it is) 5 yards, they will get the Debuff Soul Font Void, then kill them and their skull-looking soul will fly into the Soul Font.

FUN FACT: mages can spell steal the serpent form buff from the mobs that you kill for this quest. Unfortunately the snake form only lasts about 5 seconds :(

The quest did not work for me the first time I had it, the trolls would have the debuff and the counter wouldn't budge. I dropped the quest, reacquired it and then everything worked fine, so give that a shot if its acting weird.

It also seems like that when you kill them and your not quite close enough to the Soul Font that you will not be able to loot the bodies.

You can pull the Trolls to that thing and you will see a buff on The troll a purple somthing so you can see when its linked to that thing.

You have to be right *ON TOP* of these things to get credit, so if your enemy isn't super duper close, forget about any credit. And it's the enemy that has to be close, not you (tip for casters).

As a hunter I found it extremely hard to get caster mobs to be close enough to the fountain to gain the debuff, better off pulling the mellee ones.

Think it's worth mentioning that these trolls seem to have a fairly high droprate of lockboxes when pickpocketted :)

What a junky quest. You get only kills from trolls that are casting and otherways their spawnrate is way too low. Hate waiting in quests.

If you're way past this level (ie 85) and doing this for an achievement or helping a buddy, watch your auto attack because these things will die too fast if you're not careful.

This quest SUCKS. You're in the 'Spirit World' so everything is bright white and blue, making is very hard to see anything. :/

If you're doing this at max lvl (85+), be careful not to kill the trolls too quickly. You need to position them near a Soul Font and wait for them to get a debuff. It may tick almost instantly or may take 3-4 seconds. Play nice until you see the debuff.

As a Hunter:send your pet in for a hit to engage, then hit Move To and have him bring the mob to you next to the font. As you kill the close ones, you will have to move out and then run back to the font, but same idea; you need to have your pet bring the mob to the font.

Be sure to look at ALL of the Screenshots so you see what a "Soul Font" looks like. With no color in the area and a truckload of different items all about the place, I wasn't sure what a Soul Fount was until I looked at the Screenshots... just a suggestion.

Did this quest today and never saw the debuff everyone is talking about. Seems like the counter randomly goes up. Sometimes I would have three of them on top of the font and get credit for three kills and other times I would have one there and it wouldn't count. Very weird and frustrating.

you will see a pulsing "soul effect" on them when they are near the soul font. wait until this effect apears. they only count with the effect on them

Foundation for Revenge

Quetz'lun's Spirit has tasked you with the destruction of 12 trolls, either Quetz'lun Worshippers or Serpent-Touched Berserkers, near her Soul Fonts.

Only after you have accomplished this should you return to her at the Altar of Quetz'lun.

I have something special planned for my favorite high priests. But first you get to prove yourself in laying the foundation for my revenge.

As you have seen, my devotees are enjoying their stay here, but now it's time for them to make final restitution.

Do me the smallest of favors if you would, <name>. Lure them near my soul fonts and then put an end to their existences.

They taste so delicious, and their sacrifice will not go in vain, I can assure you.
