Unlike many quests of this nature, all you need for credit is to damage the foe, even if a soldier has done most of the damage and/or gotten the killing blow.

This is a ridiculously good farming area. As a 78-80 you can kill the mobs in 2-3 seconds if you are geared up. I'm a 78 warrior in Savage Saronite specced for fury dual wielding Saronite Mind Crushers with Titan's grip. I'm sure AOE characters would do even better. Many of the mobs are already health depleted because they are fighting greens for the Mopping Up quest. I ran around and killed them for an hour and got 60 Gold, four 74 level greens, 20 tattered cloth (50 silver each), about 15 pieces of 1-4GP grey items (ice shoulders, axes, etc), 70 Frostweave cloth and about 20 salted venison. I forgot to add that I also got 8 runic healing potions.

As a mage doing this quest I noticed they have a haste buff, you can spellsteal it off them and they stack up, I managed to get 6 or 7 at the same time as the buff lasts 2 minutes, my got my frostbolt casting time down to 0.45 seconds with icy veins! Fun quest.
