Use the talisman on the ley line right next to you, then run to 52, 66.

after u've done using the item . Head east around 52 66 u'll see some lights shooting from the ground. Go to that area will get the quest done

For those of us without Co-ords (Yes i'm that lazy i haven't got my titan bar back yet) Just head directly East from the pool and you'll find the purple patch on the map - Go down into that and you should get the quest complete, had to run about a bit.

use the Ley Line Focus Control Talisman ring like the others then go to 52,66 at the top and look down the quest will be completed

I did this with my Dogmeati, Level 81, Warrior-Protection, soloed! I took the Ley line Talisman to the Half-Round ring underwater shooting off purple lightening bolts, I got hit as I was taking readings but no damage. Then I flew east to the Azure Depression, which clicked observation complete! Then flew to Starrest and the Arch Mage for turn in! But, stayed the course and completed through, Quest: Defending Wyrmrest Temple! Which started Dogmeati into dailies with with Wyrmrest Accord and the building of the REP, with Wyrmrest Accord! Level up! WOOT!

When your in the water, use the Ley Line on the arc that's in the water with you. After get out of the water, and go to the Azure Dragonshrine, head east, you'll see a blue light beam shining straight up from the ground as you approach it. Once the area location changes to Azure Dragonshrine, just hang around for a bit until you've "observed" the azure dragonshrine then you should have completed the quest. Hope this helps.

I used the Talisman and got a reading but it did not complete the quest as I was hoping it would. I must have tried this about 6-8 times without luck. I now find out that you only need to take a reading and then head east, you'll see a blue light beam shining straight up from the ground as you approach it. Once the area location changes to Azure Dragonshrine, just hang around for a bit until you've "observed" the azure dragonshrine then you should have completed the quest. That will teach me to read the quest properly. lol I hope that this will help others like me who don't read the quest's.

The stupid water elemental mobs in the lake are immune to frost, so be prepared to use only frostfire bolt to kill them if you are a frost mage. Absolutely infuriating; but I guess WoW was still young and they had some dumb writers.

The End of the Line

Use the Ley Line Focus Control Talisman to gain information from the Ley Line Focus under Lake Indu'le. Then, head east to the Azure Dragonshrine near south central Dragonblight and observe what is occurring there from the western ledge.

Afterward, return to the Image of Archmage Modera at Stars' Rest.

Description

Within his robes you find two things of interest.

One is a talisman, which is clearly a focus controlling device. The other is a set of orders from someone named Sidragos, which were ultimately intended for the leader back at the Moonrest Gardens.

The water-soaked parchment informs Goramosh that he is to move all mage hunter forces east to the Azure Dragonshrine.

Perhaps you should get what information you can from the focus and head east to observe the dragonshrine from its western ledge.
