Greer Orehammer is the Flight Path master up and around the mini wall, talk to him and he will send you off with a stack of 10 bombs.

You make two passes over New Agamand, the tanks are the wagon looking things.

Do NOT miss this quest, I repeat: do NOT miss this quest.

This is the most rewarding quest in the entire zone Howling Fjord:

* It gives no less than 25150 experience at 70, whereas most quests in the zone give at the best 20100 experience points.

* On top of that, it nets you a good chunk of reputation +350 with Valiance Expedition, whereas most quests in the zone will only give you +250 at the best.

* You will get a green item out of it, even if the item isn't that great to your class/spec or depending on the gear you acquired in TBC, you will either a) have the possibility to sell the item to a vendor for another 5 gold or b) have the possibility to disenchant it, given you are an enchanter, indeed.

* And now the cherry on top; this quest will give you no less than 9g40s as well, whereas the majority of quests in the area will at the best reward you with 4g40s...

Out of every quests that are available to Alliance characters in Howling Fjord, this one is the most rewarding one. ;-)

Go and talk to the Flight Master to be given bombs and griffon ride. Use the bombs on the carts. You get 2 passes so is quite easy.

The gryphon you ride and the bombs you drop are both acquired from speaking to the flight master in Westguard Keep itself, not New Agamand.

i cant hit once
i target wagons with green thing in them
i did 2-3 bomb mission in the past

Please note what happened to me: I had not completed the zeppelin pirate blockade quest and still has those bombs in my bag. When I went to pick up this new bombing quest from the flight guy, he sent me off without any bombs, saying I couldn't pick up any more of those items, even though I couldn't use the pirate bombs for his quest. After I got back i had to go back to the keep and pick the quest up again.

This may be a good quest and nesesary in the chain BUT the BIRD flys way to fast and you can only get one, maybe two HITS per pass. Atleast that was my expereance doing this. cool flying quest,

The bomb you need is small round red bomb with burning top. Not another bomb like TNT stave. It's limited with 10 pieces when you starts the flying path to the bomb zone.

One round is enough to hit 5 tanks. Easy. Need exactly 5 pieces :)

Those who don't know wot to do... Talk To Flight Master He has option select that and u'll start flying...

Make sure u have free space and as well as don't be impatient if u miss the gryphon will fly in for another circle giving u chance to bomb!

Greer Orehammer is the flight master on the little wall inside westguard keep. Speak to him and he will fly you to drop the bombs on the plague tanks.

The only thing that could make this quest difficult is lag while you're on the gryphon. Lower all your video options and you should get a smooth flight. Even with 'View distance' at the minimum, you're flying low enough to see the tanks clearly.

I found the bombing hard to do. The gryphon flies fast and you can't see far ahead to the next tank. That, and the cooldown before being able to use another bomb had me flying over the town about six times before I could bomb five sites. Made me wish I were flying the gryphon myself!

This bugged on me. Hitting the little bomb on the quest list did nothing.

I did as one person suggested above, made a key for it. I put the bombs in #1 and the green target disk immediately appeared when I hit 1. I couldn't hit the same tank twice as we were flying too fast, but I'm not sure why you would need or want to.

If I hadn't bombed two extra tanks just for fun, I would have had 4 bombs coming back and quest completed.

Just another boring quest, you will have to do over and over and again.
Flying time 3 times as long as you can hit any targets.

Really makes you wonder why you are spending time and money on this game.....

This is the easiest bombing run quest I have seen. The targets are very easy to spot and you get a couple of low speed passes over a target rich environment. Most bombing run quests take me at least 2 flights (I'm bad at them): this took only one.

After getting the quest, head to the flight master and talk to him, you will only be given the bombs required to bomb the tanks the moment you take off, so get ready to search your inventory for the bombs and if you want, keybind it.

I was not able to do this quest. I had to talk to Greer twice to get 10x bombs. Then, since nothing happened, I clicked on his parked gryphon and jumped onto it, then I was stuck and nothing happened. I had to close and re-open the game to dismount. Tried abandoning the quest and tossing the bombs out of my inventory and retrying several times with no luck. Version 3.3.5.

I got on the griffon the exact same time as another player, and was riding his ass the whole time. He was (apparently) able to use the bombs, but I got no bombs from the flight master, and no interface. Just the other guy's butt in my face. I also could not dismount. I had to quit the game and restart to get off the griffin. So, if there is more than one player, wait until you are sure you're the only one requesting the griffon!

I'll just say this since there's no recent post and the existing comments are unclear... but here's 2 simple tips:

1. The bombs appear in your inventory, so just right click them from there and use em.

2. You can hit the same Plague Tank over and over and it counts towards the 5 you need.

Even though druids can now use flight masters while shapeshifted into flight form (they'll automatically shift into their flight form upon landing), this quest won't allow you to use the bombs if you take off in flight form. It'll give you a notice of being unable to use items while shapeshifted throughout the entire flight.

DONT be a nub like me and ignore the quest info for this quest like you can for most quests.

I flew to the place where the Plague Tanks were (and here's the kicker) I flew on my OWN mount.

I walked in all nice like and all of a sudden I am flagged for pvp and have a dozen npc's (most level 100) running and shooting/swording at me. Apparently it's a horde town.

Lucky for me I'm a kick arse lvl 100 !@#$%^&d and killed them all/kicked butt/ran away, then re-read the quest and we are all hunky-dory.

Still major derp.

So I might be the only dummy on here, but it took me FOREVER to find the bombs in my bag. The icon did not appear by the quest to bomb anything so I had to find them and add them to my action bar. It wasn't highlighted in my bag either. They look like little cherry bombs with the number 10 on them.

If you are a druid, be sure you are not in shapeshift form before getting on the mount. I was in travel form and it would not let me drop the bombs. It did let me shapeshift while riding though so I still completed the mission.

I had to sort thru several comments to figure out what I was doing wrong. Here is what I did to complete this easy quest.

1. Go to the flight master at Westguard Keep /way 31, 44
2. Click him to get bombs and a gryphon ride.
3. Use Orehammer's Precission Bombs (in your bag) to get credit for bombing 5 plague tanks.
4. You will return to the flight master automatically.
