To complete Sniffenseek digs do you need Bartered Dig Map or Lost Dig Map.

Bartered Dig Map is sold by Ponzo for Barter Brick.
Lost Dig Map can drop from Scentsational Niffen Treasures reward from A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen.

I bought a Map, then used it while standing on Myrrit. Nothing happened, the map was consumed and he doesn't offer any options when speaking to him. What's next?

This is on my alt who has this quest "Aiding the Accord: Sniffenseeking" but hasn't done the campaign quest yet, and faction is locked. The quest text says "1/1 Continue the Embers of Neltharion compaign to access Sniffenseeking (Complete)", 0/1 Dig completed with Myritt, 3000/3000 Reputation earned throughout Dragon Isles (Complete)"

UPDATE: It seems it was bugged in the first week; I have later found that Myrrit allows you to interact normally with him on alts even if they have not unlocked the faction yet.

If you've discovered a key, but cannot find the matching chest, or if you're just clueless about what to do, use Myrrit's option Sniff. Run around a bit if you must and keep smelling. Eventually he'll point you in the right direction.

I get to the cave, it has a locked treasure chest. I sniffed and found the "Metal key" but when I use it on the chest, I get the text "you can't do that yet" - sniffed all over the room, nothing else, tried tunneling under the chest, no luck, tried dropping the quest several times...

Drop Merrit on the metal circle on the ground. In doing so, a bubble above the dirt pile with bubbles/water will appear with a chest containing the key. Get in the bubble in the center where the locked chest is - swim and position yourself towards the direction of the bubble containing the key. Make sure to stay within the bubble still. Time for the other bubble that goes around the room so it aligns to the top most bubble where the key is located so you can "swim" across to get the key. Hope this makes sense.

To complete the quest, you need to exit the area and get back to Valdrakken.

On my alts, I accepted the popup quest The Land Beneath, picked up Aiding the Accord: Sniffenseeking and flew straight to Myrrit at /way Zaralek Cavern:Dragon Isles 55.64 57.47.
He had one map available and I was able to complete the "Dig completed with Myrrit" part. There's no need to do any extra quests or purchases to complete this.

If you get Elementally Guarded Geode, go find the tablets next to the 4 wards to learn which element is north/south/east/west. Then go upstairs and select the correct element for each ward and talk to the Earthward Challenger to check if your pattern is correct. Kill the Earthward Challenger to get the Champion's Crystal with which you can open the Elementally Guarded Geode.

On alts you can go fly thru the tunnel straight to Myrrit and complete one dig, but DO NOT do the quests outside at the top of the tunnel or you will be forced into the entire tunnel entry scenario.

After completing the questline 'Breaking Ground' (starts with the quest 'The Land Beneath') you can obtain the quest 'The Buddy System' from Myrrit' in which you complete a 'dig' scenario. That will complete that part of the quest, maybe about 1 hour 15 minutes (you still apparently need to garner 3000 rep among the Dragonflight factions).

I couldn't figure out how to leave the cave. I picked up the NPC and held it for a bit down near the entrance. I finally got an extra button on the vehicle bar that said 'escape'.

Able to give Myrril dig maps but when you click on him there are no options? This probably means that you are on an alt of yours and your main has the quest "The Buddy System" in its questlog. You need to complete this on the main (or abandon it and pick it up on ur alt) since this quest is only done once per account, and a requirement to start digs on ur own.

Anyone seen this place (uploaded KMysteriousCave.jpg - Name is Mysterious Cave over the MiniMap -)? Tried the pressure plates, middle ball, etc. Got elemental fire or frost protection over the floor, burrowed under, chest is always locked.

Someone familiar with it? Thanks!

In Mysterious Cave, get the rope and lasso a bat with the extra action button while you're standing right next to a glowing crystal. That will break the crystal. A key was inside a broken crystal.

Is it possible to abandon one of Myrrit's digs, without completing it?

My goblin subtlety rogue can't seem to kill Diganthor for the spit covered key.

(And in this situation, I can't wait for another player to happen through.)

I've given him another dig scroll, but it won't let me use it before I finish this dig.

There are a few places called Mysterious Cave ; this one has the treasure "Lost Dive Box" locked until you loot "Waterlogged key"; there is only a Pressure plate and a Steam Fissure to interact with
- put Myrrit on the pressure plate ; this activates the Steam Fissure
- a water bubble containing the key appears above the Steam Fissure
- go in the central floor water bubble (kill the 3 npc) to elevate yourself and reach the moving water bubble, then reach the water bubble with the key, loot it then loot the chest
