You have to carry it back to Caretaker Azkra at 55/31. The quest marker was confusing...

And when you get the egg to it's destination throw it so hard onto the plinth that any self respecting egg would smash and destroy the 'last hope'!

Hi all

I present You Storyline Dragons in Distress. This Storyline is part of Waking Hope which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. Reporting for Duty - Follow Sendrax to 71.2 40.7 ( don't go to fast or you will need to move back to Sendrax ).
2a. Invader Djaradin - Kill 6 djaradin
2b. Deliver Whelps From Evil - Save 4 Whimpering Whelpling: 71.3 44.7 behind tent, 70.9 46.6 top level tower, 69.9 45.3 behind tent, 69.4 43.4 fling on platform hard to see xD.
4. Time for a Reckoning - Go to 66.3 34.7 on top of tower wait for dragons to fly down. Going for that quest you can do auto quest Djaradin Djustice kill mobs until 100%.
5a. Killjoy - Kill Meatgrinder Sotok 63.2 29.6
5b. Blacktalon Intel - Speak with 3 NPC: 63 33.3, 65.1 29.3 and 63.4 28.9
5c. The Obsidian Citadel - After killing Meatgrinder Sotok loot Qalashi Plans to start this quest, return to Wrathion 62.6 33
8. Veteran Reinforcements - Heal 4 Injured Ruby Culler: 61 35.3 , 61.1 36.6 , 59 34.8 and 56.6 34.8 then go 55 30.8
9. Chasing Sendrax - Move to 55.2 24.9 and speak with Sendrax.
10a. Future of the Flights - Go close to Dragon eggs and kill 9 Infused Ruby Whelpling coming from them.
10b. Red in Tooth and Claw - Kill 15 Primalist invaders.
10c. Library of Alexstrasza - Pick Up 4 books 57.1 23.8 , 57.6 23.8 , 54,6 20.6 top of tower , 53.4 22 in tower on bottom on the shelf.
13. A Last Hope - Move to 56.2 22.2 and wait for NPC and speak with him then follow him and pick up egg Sendrax will die ;/. Take Infused Dragon Egg to 55 30.8 and wait for dragon to finish storyline. When you carry egg you can't use mount.

If for some reason you mounted up like me and the egg drops and dissapears, dont fret, just wait like 30 secs and it will reappear for you to pick up again

No sooner had I grabbed the egg when a primalist attacked me. Luckily the egg was just sitting on the ground next to me after I killed the dude and I was able to pick it back up and make a run for it. They did Sendrax dirty though.

Grab the egg, but DO NOT GET ON YER MOUNT. If you mount, you'll lose the egg.
Grab the egg, the run on foot SOUTH. Follow the yellow diamond.
(You haven't got the egg, unless you can see it in yer hands.).

The NPC dialogue that takes place during this quest:

Sendrax says: Follow me! We'll charge the ritual site together.

Sendrax takes off running towards the ritual site. The player can talk to Sendrax after catching up:

A single egg remains. We have not failed yet.

If we can get that egg to Alexstrasza, she will know what to do. There must be a way to save the whelpling inside.

<Sendrax grits her teeth.>

Follow me. Together, we will rescue that last egg.

No matter the cost.

The player answers, "I am ready."

Sendrax says: Stay behind me. I will endure the conduits' flame while you grab the egg.

Sendrax yells: For the Life-Binder!
Sendrax yells: Now! Grab the egg! Get it to Alexstrasza!
Sendrax yells: For the Flight! For... the future...

The player runs with the egg, towards the Conservatory Outpost where Caretaker Azkra is waiting.

Caretaker Azkra says: Aspects! Is that a dragon egg? I will summon the majordomo at once!

Azkra uses her flare to summon the majordomo.

Majordomo Selistra says: What is the emergency, Azkra? Has the enemy--by the Life-Binder! Is that an egg?

I have to say, I really really thought there would be some kind of follow-up text to this eventually... a mention of Sendrax anywhere would have at least felt like closure!

Even Ol' Blanchy got more of a fuss made over her, and all that horse ever did was inhale oats.

This quest is so stupid... literally any action drops the egg. Who thought that "press W and don't do anything else at all" was a good quest objective?

If you're wondering why the dragons at the end are shouting in disbelief at seeing a dragon egg, a bit of lore catchup:

In order to stop the N'zoth-corrupted dragon aspect Deathwing from destroying the world, the dragonflights had to give up their semidivine power they received from the Titans. This had the unfortunate side-effect of making all living dragons unable to produce any offspring, so most dragons were now resigned to the fact that their race was now doomed (with the exception of a few radical bronze dragons who tried to change the timeline and would eventually become the Infinite Dragonflight). Fast forward 10 years in-universe, and all of a sudden, this one red dragon egg represents hope for the future, that the dragonflights may not be doomed to die out after all.

While the red dragons had plenty of eggs left by the time of Cataclysm, other flights like the blue and especially the black one had far fewer (you can see this at the Ruby Lifeshrine with the amount of eggs of each flight being tended to).

Don't dare do anything... thank god I had cauterize as a mage. Whew! Just do your best to avoid any agro / baddies as the distance to travel is actually really short. Good luck!

At this stage in the main story my so called "main" now has six pieces of viable gear, including the all important weapon. If like me you are catching up from neglect over the years then rest assured the questing is starting to become much easier. The gear rewards are level 246 or 259 which for me is a ton above about level 104 average.

I believe this by far, maybe losing to the Thrall being splitted apart into elements chain quest, is the worst quest design i've ever seen.

So this chain revolves around Cadet Sendrax, her eagerness in serving the flight, and her sacrifice trying to save the last red dragon eggs from a primalist attack.

The character itself, as annoying as she is, does a good job in showing her revolt into the primalist actions, as well as her pain in seeing whelplings we're forced to slay due to the primalist taint on the eggs.

Sendrax will point out for the conduits around the area as a major threat too in order to build a sense of aditional danger, but sadly, don't know if by design choice, passing through them is very harmless. Still they make a major role in this part of the quest, where she will find some eggs she deem safe to save and charge in and sacrifice herself against the conduits so we can escort the egg out to safety.

Reaching a safe area, the dragons will be overjoyed that an egg was found but anythign Sendrax related is completely forgot then, like this npc ever existed to begin with.

I had a feeling, as soon as the earlier NPC mentioned how Sendrax would be leading her own battalion soon if she kept at it, that it would end this way.

So, my wife and I both had problems with this quest the first time, because we couldn't pick up the egg. The solution we found was to abandon the quest and start over. Also, you have to run the egg on foot. You can't blink or use a mount or fight your pursuers. The upside is that you run at nearly double your normal speed, so you should be able to outrun the enemies.

I main tanks usually, doing most of my questing as a tank, and made the mistake of doing this quest again as a squishy ranged DPS, expecting a reasonable, core-story-curated experience for some quick XP to top off some guild rep on an alt.

It was none of that. It didn't help that the quest path goes right by a rare spawn.

You're not doing it wrong, it really is that bad.

	Carry the egg to safety (1)

Description

A whole brood of whelplings, lost... <Sendrax straightens her back and sticks her chin up.> There is one more location we have not checked yet. The large ritual site where that proto-dragon dropped off the eggs. Let us charge their cruel defenses together, $p, and save what we can.
