If you take the portal to the top like I did you just have to cruise across the map to /way 66, 26

Rhonin's Shield is not at the top of the Azure Archives (above where the quest is given)
You should Dragonride to /way 66 26 Rhonin's Shield
You do not need to take a drake to the top, though starting from the top was fun!

Action button got me up by the Azure Archives above AND THEN DROPPED ME (to my death)...TWICE! Just fly yourself over, its safer!

Not only does the quest text end abruptly with "[] from the groun", but it also uses a "the" infront of "Rhonin's Shield", which also seems grammatically incorrect, as "Rhonin" is the name of the old Archmage of Dalaran, killed in the attack on Theramore Island, not the old title from japanese lore.
Hopefully this will be fixed.

EDIT 1st Feb 2023: Seems they fixed the end of the quest, but the problem with "the Rhonin's Shield" remain.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Vakthros. This Storyline is part of Azure Spanner which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. Calling the Blue Dragons - Speak with Kalecgos movie will start. After finish You will get new dragon skill Whirling Surge Unlock and Highland Drake.
2. To Rhonin's Shield - Go to 38.2 61.5 use extra bar and from top platform fly to 65.8 25.3
3. To the Mountain - Go to 67 35.2.
4a. Primal Offensive - Defeat 15 Primalists within Vakthros most of them in cave 71 35.5
4b. Lava Burst - Go to cave and Destroy 3 Lava Orb: /way 72.2 37.2 /way 73,1 37.7 /way 73.7 38.3
4c. Elemental Unfocus - Slay Ruvin Stonegrinder 72.8 38.5 to get Elemental Focus.
7a. Primal Power - Kill mobs and on them body use Elemental Focus to get 100%.
7b. Kirin Tor Recovery - Rescue 6 Dying Mage: /way 74.5 38.6 /way 75.3 37.1 /way 75.6 38.3 /way 76.1 37.9 /way 76.5 38.9 /way 76 39.5
9. Free Air - Use skill on extra bar to transform to lava element then Destroy 4 Lava Beacon avoid all circles on ground some mobs can discover You. I was using only skill 1 to move faster. Lava Beacon Location: /way 77.2 39.9
/way 77.4 38.2 /way 78.3 37.5 /way 78.5 38.9
10. In Defense of Vakthros - Slay Korthrox the Destroyer 79 36.4 You can pick up barier to protect you when you will see Kalecgos czating xD.
11. The Storm-Eater's Fury - First jump on Arcane Disc now there will be 3 stages:
- Stage 1 - Kill 150 mobs using skill 1 and 2 ( maily skill 1 )
- Stage 2 -Then Using skill 3 dispell 2 Storm funnels.
- stage 3 - Use skill 1-2 to kill 200 mobs, then movie will start.
12. The Blue Dragon Oathstone - Fly back to 39.5 63 and speak with Sindragosa Movie will start. After that Storyline will finish and you will reach Azure Spanner.

thank god I'm a skinner while I was waiting for "Rhonin's Shield" to pop up and folks were there to complete that kill wyrmm quest.

Don't use the portal bubble thing nearest to the inn! That one will stop halfway and let you fall to your death. I found the most reliable one at /way 41.18, 62.26.

the point of going to the top of the azure archives is so you can dragonride all the way to rhonin's shield which is to the northwest

What a horrible quest. The marker on the map for Rhonin’s Shield doesn’t show up until you get to the top of Azure Archives. Use your Drake to get there and then glide most of the way to Rhonin’s Shield.

I've done this quest at least 30 times but on ONE shadow priest she was never offered this quest (To Ronins Shield). She finish all the other quests leading up to this one but was never given the quest, and I have no idea why.

Update: once I finished the whole Breckenhide quest line, went to Iskara and pushed the boat out the sea, THEN you get the quest "Calling The Blue Dragons", which takes place at Rhonin's Shield. After completing "Calling The Blue Dragons" THEN you're offered the quest "To Rhonin's Shield" .

Description

Raszageth and the Primalists are launching an all out assault on Vakthros. We cannot let her succeed! Khadgar and I will go ahead to handle the situation there from the sky. In the meantime, make your way to the Rhonin's Shield, one of the last Kirin Tor camps in the area. You may be able to get there faster by riding that drake of yours from the top of the archives. See that the Kirin Tor there are all right, then make your way to Vakthros. We'll be counting on your help from the ground.
