How to do Callous Concoctions:

kill Burning Extract
when Burning Extract die, collect Viscous Oil Carrying Viscous Oil
return Viscous Oil to Pool of Mixed Monstrosities 3 times

If you can lucky to kill a mob with Carrying Viscous Oil near to Pool of Mixed Monstrosities, you can get all 3 before it despawns.

Carrying Mephitic Goo comes from Colossal Goo

Carrying Miscible Ooze probably comes from the lvl 55 Elite Prodigious Animate

When hunting mobs for the components, try to pull them close to the stairs up to the pool. If you pick up the component and mount, you can ride back to the pool, throw the component in, and then ride back to get more. If you're fast, you can get all three turn-ins from one mob, when you finally get the component to drop. It took 5-6 Burning Extract to get the Viscous Oil, but only 1 Colossal Goo to get the Mephitic Goo.

With 5 Mephitic Goo and 25 Viscous Oil, the pool produced a Pulsing Leech.

Plaguefall: Knee Deep In It dungeon quest is not required for Sojourner of Maldraxxus
You can get the dungeon before "Callous Concoctions", but you dont need to complete in hurry

Mobs in the area drop glowing objects on the ground after death.
It is not personal loot, everyone can interact with the object.

Viscous Oil drops from Burning Extract & Colossal Plasma (Red slime mobs south of the Pool)
Mephitic Goo drops from Colossal Goo & Prodigious Animate (Blue slime giants south of the Pool)
Miscible Ooze drops from Diseased Remnant & Infectious Monstrosity (Yellow slime giants north of the Pool)

Your objective is to pick up the item and bring it to the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities.
/way 58.21 74.23 Pool of Mixed Monstrosities

Btw, after you bring 30 items to the Pool, it spawns a rare.
And if you bring specific combination to the pool you'll get different rare to fight.
You can get Slime-Covered Reins of the Hulking Deathroc (not 100% drop) from Violet Mistake more info here: Pool of Mixed Monstrosities
Don't worry, you don't need to have a quest, can do it later.

This is the final quest in the questchain to get the Mixing Monstrosities Sojourner of Maldraxxus
You don't need to complete the Plaguefall: Knee Deep In It

I present Mixing Monstrosities Storyline. This Story line have 3 Quests. This Story line is a part of Sojourner of Maldraxxus.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 A Plague on Your House	"Quest start from Judas Sneap 58 72 Maldraxxus. You need to speak in order with: 1 Vial Master Lurgy 59 72 2 Foul-Tongue Cyrlix 58 73 3 Boil Master Yetch 59 73"
2 Pool of Potions	Slay Burning Extract and pick up Carrying Viscous Oil then move to Pool of Potions to drop it. You need to do it 3 times. Sometimes is hard to see Carrying Viscous Oil is under body.
3 Callous Concoctions	Slay Burning Extract and pick up Carrying Viscous Oil But this time move to Pool of Mixed Monstrosities. Is 3 deferent Oozing Ingredients but for quest you can bring any. You need to do it 3 times. After finish this quest you will finish story line. Plaguefall: Knee Deep In It is not required to finish storyline.

Anyone know why this quest keeps appearing on my maldraxxus map? Similar to the Bet on Yourself quest which was made a Daily it just shows up every day for me...

Kite the globs as close as you can to the pool before killing them, but don't kite them too far because they'll reset. When you do this and the item you need spawns (it doesn't every time), you can loot it and drop it off at the pool repeatedly until it despawns. I've been able to do this a max of four times and all you need is three for the quest. You can't mount while carrying a glob, but you can Shimmer, Soulshape, and Flicker, as well as mount up on your way back to re-loot. Plus, If the pool is close to 30/30, you can finish adding globs to spawn a rare and get some quick anima.

The main reason I do this quest to get the yellow exclamation point off my map. Otherwise, it only awards 38g61s and 135 rep with the Undying Army.

Why the ^&*! are the blue ones so rare? Makes this already chore bs into a slow chore bs that takes an hour even at TWW max lvl.

Description

I witnessed your success with the Pool of Potions and I think you could be of help. Within this larger pool, we create more dangerous mixtures! There are three different oozing ingredients we mix together in different combinations to create violent creatures. When enough ingredients have been added to the pool, the mixture takes shape and a creature will emerge! Bring any combination of these ingredients, Mephitic Goo, Viscous Oil, or Miscible Ooze to the Pool of Mixed Monstrosities.
