This quest is obtained from Kharg after completing the quest !Call of the Gladiator ( Call of the Gladiator ) which is obtained from Gharg, who appears outside the northern most exit/entrance of your garrison after upgrading the Gladiator's Sanctum to level 3.

You accept this quest from Kharg, then talk to him to enter a 10-man scenario which contains the arena. Progress on the quest is cumulative, across many instances of the scenario. It appears the quest requires landing killing blows, simply surviving while others kill each other doesn't increase the counter. The first time you enter the scenario per day is free, subsequent entries cost 100 Broken Bones. The first time you participate in the scenario, you will receive a PvP strongbox in the mail after it ends, but not for subsequent participation in the same day.

At the moment, EVERYONE doing this is a melee. "Good luck" if you're a caster.

Apparently if you win the match (by being one of the last two left alive), you get the full 100/100 instantly.

After completing, the Arena Master tells you to come back next week since you were victorious, and won't let you sign up again. I'm assuming this will be some kind of weekly quest.

Then I delivered the quest and got what the quest rewards say..
In the bag I got another flag, Horde Flag of Victory and another 70g

This is absolutely horrible as a caster. It's like you are wearing a giant flag that says: "Come At Me", cuz you will get stomped by any melee out there and they know it.

Suggest waiting with completing this quest until the season starts:

As many of you reported, at the launch of Warlords of Draenor, there were a few issues that allowed players access to Conquest gear prematurely. Conquest Points (and in some cases, actual pieces of Conquest gear) were being rewarded from various locations, including Ashran, despite there being no active PvP season.

We’ve now corrected those issues, and no more Conquest points are being earned or Conquest gear being awarded. However, to preserve the integrity of the upcoming PvP season, we need to do something about the Conquest points and gear that some players were already able to acquire.

So, before Warlords Season 1 begins on December 2nd, we’ll be converting any remaining Conquest points into Honor, similar to the end-of-season conversions we’ve done in the past. Any excess Honor over the 4000-point cap will be converted into gold at 35 silver per Honor. Any existing Primal Gladiator’s (Conquest) gear will be converted into its corresponding Primal Combatant’s (Honor) counterpart.

We apologize for the confusion that these issues have caused, but are looking forward to a clean start to the PvP season on December 2nd.

Completing this quest quickly is best done by tagging everyone and everything! Spam AoE and try to survive, and any time someone dies you will get credit for their kill.

Just won this.
I used my Everbloom Seed Pouch which made it allot easier for me as a caster, because you get transformed into a tree creature with allot more health(I had around 535k) and some nice cleave abilities ;)

*Edit*: Before you guys downvote this post into oblivion, this was posted when the quest tooltip said it was giving 1500 Conquest Points. It was stealth-hotfixed to 500 Conquest Points but the tooltip wasn't changed, and we found that out on December 2nd. They only clarified it a couple days after that.

I just turned this quest in, and only got 500 Conquest Points. Already submitted a ticket to see if thats a bug or a stealth hotfix.

You are correct about this and it looks like it was fixed to only give out 500 conquest points. We are working to have them update this correctly so that there won't be any more confusion with this.

A few hours later, new hotfixes were posted with this info updated accordingly:

Gladiator's Sanctum Level 3: Fight, Kill, Salute! now awards 500 Conquest Points (down from 1500).

I did this as Feral druid. Just find a corner around coliseum gates and sit in the stealth. If you won't move and attack anybody then there is a chance that none will attack you because they have other problems to deal. Let them fight out without you ;)

P.s I did this way, until holy priest was last standing with me... and it was 2h fight as 1vs1 :( Luckily enough I won! :)) Also you can try to /w someone near you and team up ;) glhf

Can someone who's completed it after season start confirm if the conquest gains count as part of your weekly conquest cap?

I assume it would but would love to know if for some reason it's bonus conquest. If not it will sit in my log until I have a busy week and have trouble hitting cap.

Yeah, this quests/scenario is total bull @#$%. They need to stop making dk/ret/feral only rewards like this, and act like it is available to everyone.

This quest is a weekly quest. The weekly version gives gold, 750 conquest points and 500 apexis crystals.

You might need to have the broken bones in your bag to queue for the scenario after your first free one. I was unable to queue until I got the bones out of my bank.

Also, PVP gear does not currently scale in the arena.

Don't think it has been said yet but to clarify:

To get credit for this quest you do NOT need to physically tag a combatant or player. You will simply get credit for a kill if you are in the coliseum, as a gladiator not a spectator, and someone dies. You also get credit for a death knight's army ghouls.

--- the QUEue seems to be BUGGED. I've been able to queue up yesterday once! then when i Tried Again from the guy near HighMaul or @ my Gladiator Sanctum, this is what happens: i talk to them, select: "I wish to battle in the Coliseum!", the pop-up window comes up saying:
"The cost to do battle in the Coliseum is 100 Broken Bones.$B$BDo you wish to proceed?"
The options are Accept & Cancel.
If i Hit Accept, then NOTHING HAPPENS (same as if i hit cancel), i do NOT get QUEUED!

I've completely DisAbled ALL of my Addons, still the bug seems to be the same.

So, at least since yesterday, i can only get ONE (1) QUEUE per day it seems, and the rest BUG OUT.

I've also tried completely exiting the game, yet the result is exactly same!

Please UpVote If you are having the SaMe Issue! Thanks...

Strangely, if another player summons an Image of Archmage Vargoth, it can be killed during the fight and will count towards gladiators slain.

Cheating Techniques WoD 6.0.3

1)The Raid Leader can cheat by assigning a raid symbol, like Blue Squares, White Skulls, onto a player so they are located regardless of stealth, Noggenfogger size, location etc. No one else has Raid Assist to remove it.

2) Also, Vote-Kicking is available, in fact I got booted after someone did a vote-kick suggestion spree last night. In the first ever Highmaul matchup I been in a day ago, a Boomkin victor got Vote-Kicked before he managed to loot the rewards chest. But I guess he will get it in the mail or something.

Urgent Update: You can make yourself immune to Vote-Kicks by entering combat BEFORE the pvp match starts. Do this by attacking the GREEN Garrison NPC Mobs that are watching you die.

3) Oh and Mages can summon a portal, lets say to Ancient Dalaran (the crater), on top of the feast that some generous individual summoned. Additional Perk: Those who clicked the portal are forced to rage-quit and get THIRTY MINUTES of Deserter Debuff so they can't come back for half an hour.

4) Greater Invisibility WILL obscure you from enemies ganging up on you as a Mage. Grab some distance with Blink + Burning Speed first.

5) Stealth, and other forms of it, such as the Stealthman 54 WILL NOT save you. I couldn't target a Rogue in stealth, but I can still see him or her wandering around. They instant got unstealthed (and targetable) as soon as they get hit by a AoE like Blizzard, Death and Decay, etc.

6) Hunters, fire a Ice Trap on your closest opponent on the 1-second mark before the match begins. And for the love of God, check your corners that you are running for cover to. This Hunter came into my corner with only 33,000 health and STILL couldn't notice me. I killed him as soon as he started to bandage.

Edit: ESSENTIAL HUNTER INFORMATION. PACK ON! PACK ON! PACK ON! Leave Aspect of the Pack ON! Because this is technically a raid group, Aspect of the Pack AFFECTS THE ENTIRE ROSTER you are fighting against. Then you can deactivate Aspect of the Pack as you wish, and then turn it back on.

7) Rogues, you are pretty much screwed. I, and the rest of the 25-man mob can see you walk around in stealth. I would like to point out, that the ones who try to stun-lock are the ones who are sitting ducks for the other 23 players focus-targeting you. Just remember, in stealth for some reason you can't be Tab-Targeted, but you will be targetable once you get hit by a AoE.

Personally I choose not to form alliances with others, ultimately its either you are gonna backstab them, or they are gonna backstab you. The first DK I agreed to hold a truce with immediately Death Gripped me into a 7 man mob of his temporary friends.

The best advice I can give is, do not draw attention, even though you are a cloth wearer. Get your Noggenfogger on, wear something BONE WHITE, even though your nameplates will still pop up over your forehead. They are more concerned with beating up the jerk that hit them from the back than you.

Note that the Ogre Spectators will activate flamethrowers on the bone piles when all the squishies die and the tanks and healers remain for a 10 minute turtle. I rooted a Warrior who charged me into the Flamethrower and watched it chip away his last bit of health.

Despite Warriors being a plate class, I rarely see them win. Usually the last two contenders end up as a pair of druids constantly shifting out to heal themselves and then trying to wear each other down for the last 5 minutes. I seen a Pally win, and one DK.

Oh and interesting thing, the Garrison Followers from the spectator crowd (after you die and respawn as a spectator), will AGGRO against your pet (Water Elemental). I don't know if this counts for Hunter and Warlock pets.

There is some sort of timer for the event at about 45 minutes or so that will decide a winner (for example if you're like me and it was between a prot paladin and resto druid that couldn't kill each other).

The event just suddenly stopped and one of the remaining was declared winner. There was no indication how it picked, perhaps a hidden roll.

A couple of simple tips for quicker completion of this quest:

As of posting this, simply tagging a DK's army of the dead before they die (the same way that it works with a player) will net you +1 kill each toward the quest. (I just ran with a group this evening where 5 DKs all agreed to pull theirs out and I was able to get about 30 kills+ off of them - and a full +20 stack of the buff because of it.)

Tagging/killing hunter pets will also up your kill count.

Apparently mage mirror images will give + kills as well, but I haven't tested this myself.

(I have read that targeting other player's image of Archmage Vargoth from the toybox item Archmage Vargoth's Spare Staff counts toward kills - This no longer works as of writing this! (We tried it today using several of them and didn't receive a single kill.)

Beyond that advise, I will echo what other posters above me have said:

Make yourself as small, translucent and non-threatening as possible. (Noggenfogger, Gnomeregan pride, Aqua Jewel, Ai-Li's Skymirror, etc. are all great things to help make you stand out less.)

Find a corner and don't fight too early. (You don't want to make yourself a target.) Be sure to tag anyone close to death within range of your corner for kill credit + buff. After you make a couple of tags re-stealth if possible & lay low.

Hunters - feign death is your friend. If your small enough and in a corner you can almost disappear entirely when on the ground.

Following the above should get you pretty far (4th or 5th man standing) so long as nobody singles you out and has their way with you.

Wow! I can't believe I won this on my first try! I am absolutely AWFUL at PvP! The adrenaline is intense... my hands are still shaking...

Here's how I did it. Using tricks!

First, I ran over to a corner with a bone pile. Then I used Robo-Gnomebulator to become small, then used the World Enlarger to become even smaller.

Next I summoned my battle pet, the Stunted Direhorn which is the biggest battle pet in the game. Next of course came the Magical Pet Biscuit to make the pet even larger. Then I hid beneath the pet. Was safe there for a while, but some people wised up and targetted me. But between my 149% run speed (enchants, talents, speed stat, etc.) my heals, my paladin CDs, and my Engineering items, not to mention being hard to target, I was too much of a hassle and they eventually went after easier targets.

It went on like this until there were only 3 left. I watched, hidden and healing while 2 fought. One was clearly far better, so I snuck over and started beating on him. By time his opponent was dead, I had him to 50%. All that remained was to use all the offensive CDs I had left (which was all of them, he was all out) and finished him off.

I stood there. Stunned. I. --I-- just won a PvP free-for-all against 9 other people? That's ridiculous...

And then the prizes! I am a major toy collector, and I have 193 toys (the highest achievement is 150 toys... Blizz needs to hurry and add a 200 toy achieve) but wanted more. So the reason I even attempted this was for the Warlord's Flag of Victory , but when I first entered I didn't ever expect to get it to easily!

So I looted the Grand Prize Chest, which contained the flag, roughly 1500 honor points, 500 conquest, a 660 PvP cloak, and Unleashed Mania which I thought was awesome, and a consumable, and was wondering what I should spend it on, until I found out it WAS NOT consumable, and I could use it freely every hour. That's just... ridiculously crazy cool. And lastly, a new Title, "Taedran, Lord of War."

But the prizes weren't done. I also entered the arena to finish this very quest, which requires you to kill 100 people in it! 10 people per round... can't possibly kill all 10... so that would take between 15 and 25 rounds. But nope! I guess if you win, you automatically finish!

So the quest reward! 61g, ANOTHER 500 Conquest points, 1000 Apexis, and Coliseum Champion's Spoils contains which contains A SECOND TOY! My new Alliance Flag of Victory

Awesome, just awesome. And all this occured right after I got home from a very nice lunch with good friends and my adorable niece. This is a good day. =)

Total effort: Brains and beating one half dead paladin.
Total reward: 1,000 Conquest; 1,500 Honor; 1,000 Apexis crystals; 1 Temporal Shard from DEing the 660 PvP cloak; 2 new toys to bring me closer to 200; 61g; the "Lord of War" title; and an amazingly cool new CD to use when outside in Draenor.

Unfortunately, to most who have joined for this achievement and toy late into the expansion, the entire system is near rigged, and it will take a long, long, long time before you hope to accomplish even the quest, let alone the achievement or toy itself.

You will never 'not' encounter a multi-boxer in this Scenario. After trying to compete around 5 times, a multi-boxer will be there to ruin the fun. Given the introduction to the WoW Token, it's become even 'easier' to accomplish multi-boxing. Worst part? Multi-boxing is entirely legal and Blizzard will not do a thing about it.

Unless you: pay a raid group of people to sit still for you so you can kill them or keep queuing and hope you don't get queued with a multi-boxer, you're more likely to get that mount drop you've spent years grinding.

good christ.. so I ve been sitting here watching a Shaman and a Disc priest go at it for 40 minutes .. does Mar'gok ever send in another debuff to speed things along? I know as a rogue my winning odds are minimal but 2 healers going at it for 45 minutes now ..

Well, I attempted this for the first time today. Quing in tank spec as I though the Gladiators where the ogres not people. Well.... As i stood on that disc waiting to go to my sure death. I let everyone know my intents of just watching the blood bath and that was what i did until the last three. They were a Hunter (of course), Druid and myself (Pali Tank). So i saw the druid getting smacked and helped kill the hunter. I then waited till druid was full health. I then asked what happens next and Bam! the druid is bringing the pain train. Well this gets me irritated I helped him and what do i get in return attacked. This fight lasted over 15 mins. I was so amped I've never pvped on that lvl and forgot about my "Ring" once I realized it was the damage bonus i needed. Paladin wins! Man let me tell ya there where some haters after that. Sorry but I did what i do tank and won for me and one for PVE! GO PVE! lol

It's now against 14 other people (total of 15). Good luck. As for you casters who are crying; stfu. Half my group was casters and as a hunter I got my ass kicked (even with Glyph of Mirrored Blades) before I could say "Oh sh*t"

For ppl who care about toy from opposite faction. This event works a bit strange way. 15ppl on arena. But I get much more kills. Done it as blue pvp geared disc priest in 3 runs. And never was even in last 4. Got 33kills at first run. 23 at second. And 44 at last (actually more, cos few ppl died when I already finished quest). So if you care about toy and not about win you can easy farm it as healer / blood dk. Run around, dot everything and you'll get tons of kills.

It's still a F'ing joke. I just tried at 3am hoping to just get less people queuing up as a whole party. Nope. 7 Frost DKs , 5 Ret Pallys , and 3 Hunters with 7 from the same guild doing carries and sitting out there playing Hearthstone. What an abomination.

After reading RedSalamando's post and being in queue for many hours day after day I was pretty negative attituded. But yesterday doing quests in Nagrand I decided to get in queue again and what was my surprise when tooltip said that average wait time is ~5min.

First time I died first :/
Second time I aquired 4/100
At third time I saw that 5 ppl are from same guild, and when we took to the top they stand together, so I said on /raid to kill them first, cuz they for sure will play together. Fight starts, and after about 1 minute whole that guild party was dead, some dk was chasing some paladin, and basically it got weird. I killed that dk, cuz I considered him as harder opponent, then me and 2 other paladins standed in some distance form each other, somewhere center of coloseum and short conversation ensued:

Japom-Thunderstorm: its a truce obviously :P

Some informations:

Match require 16 ppl to queue, so its not that hard to gather and even after finishing Fight, Kill, Salute! there is weekly The Bloodshed Never Ends so keep trying, and dont be shy to speak with others and ask for help.

Anyway people still doing these matches, so if you have not done this quest yet, you still can and aquire some flags to put on your fallen enemies.

As a non-pvp Disc Priest, I used Mind Sear to tag as many as possible - this meant that gaining 100 kills was a much easier task. Going in a group is the best plan to shorten the queue time and to work together to select who wins the Lord of War title. Good Luck!

Yeah, this quest has basically become a gold redistribution system, from single players to guilds or organized groups who sell the win. Don't even think of winning this as a small group or single player, you will only be disappointed.

I'd really, REALLY like to talk to the developers of this poorly implemented parody of a free-for-all arena battle.
Why is there so much preparation time? Why not throw us all in at random locations and let the carnage begin?
Why are player's names visible? Why not make everyone an anonymous gladiator, to make it a bit harder for those groups in voice chat?
This just screams "Exploit me!"

I ticketed this a few days ago, and here’s the response I got:

Currently, this does require that a character be level 100 in order to start and progress through the quest. Once a character goes passed level 100, that error pops up and characters aren't able to work on it anymore =\

I don't know if the development team plans on altering this or if this is a bug =( I would definitely encourage that you share your constructive feedback and suggestions with the development team though. It is very important for players to provide feedback as it can impact changes to come and I do know that other players at 110 would like to see this become available.

So there you go—hit that suggestion box if you want this fixed.

You need 15 to get a queue pop. Credit to Athena in the Achievements discord for this information...I was going nuts sitting in queue with 10 accounts before finding this out.

Since most of my alts are alliance (WoD being an alliance favored expansion) and I wanted the horde flag, I decided to take a chance and did the following:

Turn in the quest, do not open Coliseum Champion's Spoils
Faction change.
Receive the faction-appropriate flag upon opening the spoils.

The Highmaul Coliseum is unavailable to players above level 100, and even at level 100 the queue times are insanely long. Unless you lock XP and organize premades with other locked players, it's essentially impossible.

Additionally, datamining on the Battle for Azeroth PTR indicates that Ashran, the main source of Broken Bones needed to queue into the Coliseum, may be revamped into a traditional battleground or removed altogether, adding another coffin nail to the scenario and all its rewards.

WoW's history has shown that minor features like the Coliseum, that are dependent on popularity to function, don't age well and are more likely to be removed than fixed . If you care about this content, please submit an in-game suggestion report requesting to keep it active. Even if it means making the scenario available only to level-capped players regardless of their garrisons, we need all the PvP content we can get as we roll into BfA.

I queue for the scenario for hours on my XP-locked level 100 hunter and I am getting nowhere. I guess access depends on what level you are. Seems fair.
I will wait and see what happens when Shadowlands comes.

This just impossible to do now. Only with premade groups who selling this. Almost all PvP content of Draenor is incredibly hard to do in this time.
I hate when achievements locked in old content by something that I can't control (like other people's desire to play this old content).

I created a Nemesis community, well a Blizzard group so that both factions can join. This should allow us to get enough people to form a queue and help with the quest farm :)

Checklist for getting this achievement with a group
-- 15 people of the same faction on the same region as you
-- level 3 garrison and gladiator sanctum on two characters per person

Level 3 garrison
This Needs to be gotten to build level 3 Gladiator Sanctum in your garrison. All it takes is a few starter quests and 2.2k garrison resources and ~5k gold.

Level 3 Gladiator Sanctum
This requires The Bone Collector achievement which is getting 4k bones in Ashran on a single character. This achievement can be progressed on multiple characters. To get bones you have to accept the first quest from the gladiator sanctum in order to be able to receive the bones. In Ashran, as long as you are near fighting you will receive 3-6 bones per kill even if you do not hit the enemy. The blueprint you get from this can be bought from the blueprint vendor in your garrison on all your accounts toons. Once you have completed the level 3 upgrade, go outside the front gates of your garrison to accept the invitation of the ogre. Fly to Highmaul's raid entrance to accept the quest.

Amount of People Needed
You need 15 people for this achievement to queue up. They have to be on the same region and faction. A horde cannot queue into an alliance and an alliance cannot queue into a horde. If you multi-box, you can have one person cover eight spots. The achievement to make the level 3 gladiator sanctum is account wide for all eight accounts on your connected bnet. This will also lessen the amount of time it takes to go through the full run of everyone's achievements.

Two Characters
Each person (except for the last to get the achievement) need to have two toons that are viable to enter the arena. If you win the fight you cannot queue again, this is what the second character is for. When you win hop on your other character to continue the achievement for everyone else.

Queueing Process
The queueing place is located outside of Highmaul raid entrance, or if you have Fight, Kill, Salute! quest, you can queue from your garrison inside your gladiator's sanctum.

To queue up someone in the group of people needs to queue themselves then invite everyone else to the raid group. This will allow everyone to join without paying any currency after losing. The only one who has to pay the 100 bones is the person leading the group. You get 1 free entry every week though so if you always make the second character of the person who just won leader, it will always be free.

In the Arena
Have the designated winner known and have all the other characters be naked. When everyone enters the queue, stand on the elevator with everyone for three minutes, then after ascending another two minutes will pass. After waiting five total minutes the designated winner will AoE everyone down and complete the quest. The winner will get a chest that spawns that contains a toy. The winner can leave after getting the chest, everyone else can leave instance group after the winner is announced.

After Winning
When you win, you get a toy from the quest bag that counts as both the horde and alliance variant. Everyone leave the group and restart the process of queueing. The winner should get on their second character to continue the queue process.

Kill 100 Gladiators at the Coliseum in Highmaul.

You may access the Coliseum by talking to Kharg at Highmaul or Boneslag at your Gladiator's Sanctum.

Description

The greatest gladiators on Draenor have fought for glory and honor inside the Coliseum. Will you become a legend like Kargath Bladefist or will you be nothing more than bone dust beneath the boots of a more savage gladiator? There is only one way to find out.

You must enter the competition and fight! The price of victory is 100 lives!

I will admit you without cost once per day, but if you fail and wish to fight again you must pay the price of admission in blood and bone!
