Marigolds spawn all over the Sunsoaked Meadow.

Vials of Animal Blood are easily gotten by killing the local Wolves, Mushan, and the Tawnyhide deer families wandering around (yes, that includes the Stag, Doe, and even their baby fawns).

The Tawnyhide deer by far spawn the most and are easiest to kill, but only a right, true bastard would slaughter an entire family of innocent deer for--

*Beholds all the dead deer corpses in the meadow*

...Oh.. God.

I've just came back from killing bird couples to steal their eggs so that a recluse monk could have fun throwing them at me "for my training", and now I'm tasked to slaughter deer families to harvest their blood so that a little girl can paint some turnips orange to trick and mock rabbity-mousey vermins.

I'm a horrible person.

I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too. They're like animals...oh wait they were animals. I just slaughtered a whole bunch of deer. Not really feeling like the hero of the game right now.

Lots of Marigolds spawn where there are orange patches (orange because Marigold's are blooming). Like at 67,40 and 65,43

If you killl the Mushan Nomads they drop 8-10 vials of blood instead of 4-5

You can pick up literally all 10 marigolds in 70, 49 and similar areas. The spots look "Sun-touched" in that they're little yellow hills on the plains.

I prefer killing Mushan for the blood, you only have to kill about 5 to get all 40 vials.

I can't find Li-Li where the map shows she should be. The only NPC there is a panda named "Mudmug." All the posts here have to do with the little brat's dialog! Nothing helpful :(

You have to complete several previous quests, the first which appears up at Pang's Stead, to get Li-li and her Uncle to start moving down to the area of this quest, and for the quest to show up. The quest immediately prior to this one will be an escort quest from Thunderfoot Fields with Li-li and her uncle. So if you go to this quest location and only see Mugmug, you need to start backtracking.

If you use Inky Black Potion/inky-black-potion available at the Darkmoon Faire sold by Rona Greenteeth) the marigolds stand out nicely and can be easily seen.

To be able to access this quest, you need to do the entire Pang's Stead + follow up quests (the last of which is A Lesson in Bravery), which then lead you to Shang's Stead for the escort quest Great Minds Drink Alike.

In other words, you need to achieve Thunderfoot Fields in the Rally the Valley achievement for Li Li and Chen to phase at Shang's Stead as well as offer quests for you to escort them to the next hub.

After doing the escort quest, this quest is finally available. However, you can also pick up Leaders Among Breeders at the same time for another easy toy.

Description

Uncle Chen says we're going to help this guy out with his virmen problem. Fine by me! I LOVE messing with virmen.

Here's the plan: we're going to paint some turnips orange, and then we'll try to convince the virmen that they're carrots.

This can only end in comedy.

I'll gather turnips. You find something that we can use to make edible orange paint.
