Got this quest yesterday, I can't seem to select the Recovery drone to pick me up... Seen a video on youtube where people started it, maybe on a previous build..

Are you supposed to get an item from them that allows you to use the sparkling helicopter thingy?

After accepting the quest, exit the building and look to your left. There should be a crate (Recovered Supplies) that is attached to a Recovered Gyrocopter.
When you mouse over the crate, you get an 'enter vehicle' command that does a brief cinematic, then you can work on the quest objectives.

In the drone, you have 2 abilities:
Throw Star
Poison Blossom

The first, Throw Star is attached to #1 key binding, and is the single-target ability. Use this to 'pick off' Hozen one by one.
The second, Poison Blossom is attached to #2 key binding, and is your AOE on a 12-second cooldown.

To most easily complete this quest, single-target until you automatically fly into an encampment, then use your AOE ability when you are flying through the very center.

It appears that you must first complete the quest What goes down must come up before you are able to see the Goblin Recovery Drone.

sometimes the poison blossom just doesnt do anything at all but start its cooldown

When on the quest. I logged out then logged back in and it then allowed me to enter the gyrochopper

An oddly annoying quest.

Obviously as others have said use button 2 over the camps.

For button 1, which is the trickier one, try to target the stationary mobs (on the ground, not the ones up on the ropes). The travel time of the bomb is so slow that if you target a moving mob, it will often be out of range by the time it lands and you won't hit it.

Was listening to Feuer Frei by Rammstein and a helicopter flew over my house when I did this quest. Made me smile.

I couldn't enter the helicopter. Reloading UI and relogging didn't help.

Only worked after I disabled all addons. Don't know which addon did it.

If you can't enter into Recovered Gyrocopter, disable "Hide in-game cinematics" option in Deadly Boss Mods addon (type "/dbm" in chat -> Options -> Hide Blizzard -> Hide in-game cinematics -> Disable) ;)

I wonder why exactly Blizzard has you kill 25 of two different mobs when they're all mixed together? It'd be a lot simpler (and much less annoying) to just have it be 50 of any of the hozen.

I totally dislike all quests like this one. Mount and circle slowly while trying to target and kill with a flawed weapon. All the while hearing, "not ready yet" "not ready yet". I think my dislike is that it really does not feel under my control.

I didn't get reward items from this quest unlocked in the Appearances tab. I noticed a few other quest rewards from Jade forest quests not getting unlocked.

Glitches out if your using auto pilot addon switch it off then can do the quest.

this quest is currently bugged,in order to do it dont interrupt cinematic and turn off addons that skip cinematics auto

The helicopter moves WAY too fast, it makes targeting these hozen really hard with how small the reticle is, and the fact most of em are moving around. C-.

Description

We're going to have to take some drastic measures if we hope to see tomorrow.
