She is so arrogant. She don't it yet that you have killed all those dragon, helped her queen in several times.... otherwise she should just stfu and knee before you... and be afraid you won't kill her.

Make sure you speak to the correct Lirastrasza. You can't turn in the quest to the wrong one.

This quest is glitchy. Disabling Impact can dismount you and kill you before the drake picks you up. Also, sometimes you'll be dropped off, then get stunlocked again by Disabling Impact, picked up, and taken for another loop. Annoying as hell.

I've found this quest glitchy too. After picking up the quest, I flew out to Lirastrasza, only to not be able to turn the quest in. Mentioned above is that you have to turn it into the correct Lira...but I only can find one out there. Not sure about the Disabling Impact tho.

Found out, the first time I went out, I had flown quite a ways to the east, and therefore, when I came in directly from the east, I had bypassed the red drakes. The 2nd time I tried, I flew directly from quest-giver to the end point, and in the process, had been intercepted by the red drakes. They deposit you, there is (at that point) only one Lirastrasza to talk to, and you're done. Go to Calen, and complete the quest.

Key: make sure the red drakes intercept you on the way in.

This quest was.. surprising. I was flying in to find this chick, when I was attacked and carried off by a drake. It's kind of like, "was this really necessary? I was just going to find you anyway." Then she starts ranting, "you only, umm.. I don't know - saved our whole race a couple of times but yeah I don't trust you." really? That is only ever going to happen in World of Warcraft.. Then, she sends you to this Calen guy. And I was thinking, "he must be pretty hardcore if he's better than that crazy woman." So I fly over, and what the freaking hell.. it's a male night elf wearing a dress. That is just so original.

This is part of a questline, which is great for tanks gearing up for heroic because one of the final rewards is Za'brox's Lucky Tooth. It's a longish questline, but well worth doing as this is a really good trinket. It took me about 2 hours to get to the quest that gives this item, I've kept a log of the quests and I hope this post is useful to people considering taking this on. Chains that are marked in Wowhead are grouped together, non-obvious jumps are on the next paragraph.
This post should help people who either found this page and don't know how to get this quest, or who are trying to decide whether to do this questline to get the trinket all us new tanks seem to be after.

Prior to the expansion (WoD 6.0.3), a few of my characters never even visited the Twilight Highlands. In the northwest corner of Twilight Highlands, is the Vermillion Redoubt and Aquinastrasz .

He would not even talk to my characters last time I was here, but I after I opened the zone with my hunters (pet hunting), I kept seeing this flightpath and Aquinastrasz would light up with a flightmaster cursor. I went down to see if I could use Aquinastrasz and kept getting the error message:
"You do not know any flight points connected to this one."

I went all over the web trying to find which flight point I needed to open up, but I had them all. Perhaps it was a quest line?

It was a quest line, and here is what I did to get him to work:
(At level 100 it is quick and easy, awarding an achievement, and the hardest part was waiting for the little things to kill me in Devoured. I would suggest taking off any armor before starting this.)

To Start ... get to 44.0 10.6 and speak to Earthcaller Torunscar:

Earthcaller Torunscar => Torn Ground
Earthmender Duarn => Unbroken follow-up Earthcaller Yevaa => Mercy for the Bound
Initiate Goldmine => Simple Solutions
============================= After the Above:

Earthcaller Torunscar => The Maw of Iso'rath
Earthcaller Yevaa => Devoured Read this one (you have to let them kill you).
Thrall => The Worldbreaker Nothing you can do but watch.
Earthcaller Yevaa => The Terrors of Iso'rath Run kill tentacle, run to bubble. Repeat.
Earthcaller Yevaa => Nightmare (awarding the achievement Consumed by Nightmare upon completion.)

Alliance - Lauriel Trueblade => Warm Welcome
Horde... - Golluck Rockfist => Warm Welcome

Calen => Even Dragons Bleed

Could someone explain how to complete this quest? I've flew over here a couple times and each time i get stunned, but i never get picked up by a red drake, so i'm unable to complete.. Is this a glitch or am i doing something wrong?

Note: according to Patch 6.2 Hotfixes: July 13 - July 16 -

Warm Welcome: Vermillion Sentinel should now correctly pick up the player and allow them to complete the quest.

I thought this was still broken, as I kept getting stunned, but not picked up. However, a comment in a stray bug report thread on the official forums mentioned if you have a talent or skill that is a passive attack when you are attacked, and you are over the level for the zone, you might kill the drake before it can grab you. This indeed was happening, as I was playing a shaman, lightning shield was one shotting the drake. So if you are a class that has some talent or skill that will attack automatically, turn it off and the quest should work properly.

Looks like Dragonflying breaks this quest - I came zooming in and the red drake failed to pick me up.

Abandoned the quest and flew in on a traditional flying mount and it worked as expected.

Description

I'm glad you're back! Saving the world or something, I'm sure.

I was dispatched to establish relations with the red dragons in the area, but I'm finding this bunch somewhat less accommodating than the ones at Wyrmrest were. I have, however, been told that you are the type that solves problems.

A problem solver as it were.

Care to take a crack at earning a bit of trust with Lirastrasza at Vermillion Redoubt to the southwest? Anything that might soften her up a bit for me would be lovely.
