Drop rate on the Plaguehound Blood seemed to be a bit higher than 50% (while the quest was active).

You need to update the map, as I've just done this quest on my Level 41, and the start and finish points are different.

Note that this doesn't drop from the Plaguehounds with no descriptor. Only the runts and the frenzied.

If you abandon this quest and are unsure where to pick it up again, do Gidwin's quests. Tarenar showed up next to Fiona when I went to turn in Goldbraid's collection quest and I was able to accept this quest.

A bit of a QQ post here but...this reminds me of the old "Centaur Ears" quests from Desolace.

These types of quests are what is wrong with World of Warcraft. Not only is it an excessive quantity (10), but it's not a 100% drop rate on something that should be. As a result it ends up being a task of drudgery. Not to mention the fact that it's unimaginative (just kill stuff to get their drop).

Blizzard, you can do better. I expect better.

If you're here for the belt, like me, you'll want to know this. You must do this on a druid or monk. You don't get to pick your quest reward otherwise, it's given based on your class & spec. I did this on my rogue and only got the option for the bracers.

To get to this quest, go to the caravan on your map (8.92, 66.28). Talk to the worgen Fiona and get the quest "Tarenar Sunstrike". Complete it by talking to the blood elf Tarenar, then do his quest, "What I do best". After that you'll get "A Gift for Fiona". Whole process takes less than 5 minutes.

Description

My traveling companion, Fiona, runs a small vendor's shop out of her caravan. She and I, along with our friend Gidwin, are all on our way to Light's Hope Chapel. I'm sure you can join us, if you like... though Fiona might be a little mad at me.

Fiona always forgets why she's mad if you give her a gift. Kill some of the plaguehounds north of here, then bring their blood to Fiona at the caravan, down by the river. She'll love it. We'll talk again there.
