Morbent is down inside the crypt. This might be tough for lower level toons due to the amount of ghouls in the area.

The actual secret to this one is to not leave the tunnels where you pick up the various pieces of the quest..it is a chain. If you keep going forward, you'll come into the other crypt behind that wall of ghouls and just take out some lesser liches before taking down the big man. Then to agro Morbent, just jump up behind him and agro him, use the disenchanter thingy (morbent's bane), and beat him down, when he dies all of the ghouls die.

There are tons of Wraiths in the laboratory room, what I want to know is, do you fight them? Do you just go past them to get to the big guy? They have this Frost Armor that raises their armor almost 250, I need to know what to do, help?

As a hunter, I encountered a bug during the course of this quest where my pet would not cross the threshold between the underground tunnel and the crypt where Morbent Fel is. Imagine my dismay while crossing over said threshold, when my pet just froze and about 3 undead were casting frost shock on me. To circumvent this oddity, I had to dismiss my pet, cross over into the crypt and call my pet after the mobs were aggroed. Not fun.

Make sure you have compeleted the The Yorgen Worgen quest chain. Otherwhise, you will not see Sven Yorgen to turn in the Quest.

Was just leveling an alt in Duskwood for the first time, doing "The Fate of Morbent Fel", and wondered why my level 30 prot warrior was having such a hard time with the quest, how any non-tank was supposed to survive fighting endless swarms of ghouls, and why, upon killing Morbent, he didn't drop his own remains.

Then I realized I was in the wrong place. :D

I completed this easily with my 30 feral druid. The aggro is far enough apart that there isn't any danger of mobs. Hit them with faerie fire, they'll come to you. Kill the ones in the room and the two on the steps and pay no mind to the ones behind Morbent Fel. Stay on the bottom floor, hit Morbent with the item you were giving and he'll come to you. Very quick kill after that.

Don't make the mistake I made thinking the Morbent's Bane was a weapon to use against Morbent Fel, it is only to use to take down the protective bubble he has around him. So just use it once and then kill him your own way. He goes down fairly easy.

When I did this quest as a level 27 arms warrior I killed him without using th item.

This is a series quest line, so you can't just run into this quest directly, all starts talking to this NPC: Apprentice Fess
then pick the The Yorgen Worgen quest, you will do a couple more quest until you unlock quest with Sven Yorgen, which will offer The Fate of Morbent Fel quest. Now, ahead on the quest line when you find the Lightforged Rod , do enter the catacomb next to it if you go the other entrance you will find way too many mobs, now inside the catacomb, do not stand in the rectangle like things in the ground, because mobs will spawn if you do, just go around looking for the next piece, there is a passage that communicate with the catacomb where Morbent Fel is so stay there until you find the passage,which is next to one of the artifact pieces you are looking for, once you completed the artifact, clear the mobs in the lower room, don't go upstairs, just use Morbent's Bane on Morbent Fel to dispel the bubble protecting him, from there he will come alone, so you can fight him with ease, once killed all the mobs will dispawn, then go upstairs , you'll be granted a safe way out.

Just a warning - for 6.0.3 - I did this on an alt tonight, and on the way there I saw a rogue coming back the way I'd just come. I thought that was weird since I always leave by going up the stairs past where Morbent Fel was, but kept going. I killed Morbent Fel as usual and continued up the stairs to leave...and quickly found out the crypt hadn't despawned the ghouls at all, so I ended up mobbed by an angry crowd of undead. I ran, but the guy guarding the door was still there, too.

While I was outside, another person came out of there and the mobs had despawned like normal for them, so just be a bit careful when doing this in case you get the same bug I did. It seems to work for some, not for others, I guess. Until today, it'd always cleared up for me so it was quite a scary surprise. :P

Now guys this journey freaked the hell out of me which was a nightmare, after killing this boss my HP was soo Low i wanted to hearthstone out of here and Geess what? a bunch of ghouls ganged the crap out of me and killed me! When i respawned the boss showed UP WITH MORE THAN THE BUNCH of ghouls before i got the chance to escape luckily a rogue ( a level 70) showed up and killed them all. Thank goodness, i am not going back to that place no matter what quest that is to do so! this took like 30 minutes before being saved. Respawned 10 times, ganged up 11 times and 1 save total of my story. My level: 29

One of the Coldwraiths is glitched. The one closest to the mouth of the tunnel. Player can't hit it, but it can hit the player. As a hunter, it ends up glitching my pet as well. Watch out fellow hunters. Abandoned this quest.

In case anyone does a dum dum like I did today and runs off to the spot on the map...which is the back entrance and significantly more difficult...the co ords to the original catacomb where you get to Morbent Fel are 23,7 by 35,5

After killing Morbent the ghouls all die. You can exit the crypt up the back stairs. There's an elite there but you can side step it and not aggro it on your way out. Faster to exit through the back than going back through the tunnel.
