Any of the Woodpaw North of Camp Mojache should drop the Gnoll Mane.

Since the registered droprate is about 70 %, I assume that 30 % of the gnoll population in Feralas wears very realistic wigs. My scientific tests during this quest approves this theory.

Really expected to see more comments regarding this quest. I went to the area where the quest tracker took me and got shot down in two hits by an unknown assassin, assumming it was an alliance elite and I was trying to enter forbidden territory. So now I am confused. Do these gnolls lite up as quest targets? Because I saw nothing lit up between the camp and where I got shot down.

best area is just north from Camp Mojache (left bank of river), drop rate is almost exactly 50%. killed all mobs in the camp and return the quest :)

You return to Adella, and shes kind of a $%^&*... And I have the hardest time navigating feralas, with all the tiny cliffs you cant go up

Description

The gnolls... they are more than a nuisance. They are a constant threat to the existence of this very camp! It is irrelevant whether they are indigenous to Feralas or not; if we do not strengthen our resolve against them, we will find ourselves driven out of the entire region.

The gnoll attacks against the camp have become more fevered as of late. We need your aid in thinning their numbers; bring to me ten of their manes, and I will reward you handsomely for your effort.
