This is an escort quest but it seems buggy. i couldn't attack the wolf and poor mr floppy died... then the girl cryed.

so i did it a second time and it worked... i had to keep mashing attack buttons.

I was escorting Emily and Mr. Floppy to safety. While I was walking them to the camp, Mr. Floppy came under attack!

Emily says: Um... I think one of those wolves is back...
Emily says: He's going for Mr. Floppy!
Emily says: There's a big meanie attacking Mr. Floppy! Help!

I immediately sprang into action, disposing of the big meanie swiftly.

Emily says: Let's get out of here before more wolves find us!

And so we quickly walked away from the big meanie's corpse at an extremely slow pace! As we were strolling through the woods, Mr. Floppy came under attack again!

Emily says: There's a big meanie attacking Mr. Floppy! Help!

Poor Emily must have forgotten her glasses at the lodge as there were TWO bears ferociously charging poor Mr. Floppy. I engaged one of the bears while Mr. Floppy dutifully tanked the other. As the first bear fell to the ground, I turned around to see Mr. Floppy barely scratched. Mr. Floppy was quite the beastly tank! However, it was clear that Mr. Floppy was fighting a losing battle. I began assisting Mr. Floppy knowing that teamwork (!) was the key to winning this incredible battle. And soon, the second bear fell to the ground.

Emily appeared to be completely unphased at the amazing event that had just happened. She was giving me the silent treatment but I could tell she was upset. We quietly speeded away from the deceased bears at an excruciatingly slow pace. But wait! What's this?

Emily says: Oh, no! Look, it's another wolf, and it's a biiiiiiig one!

The biiiiiiig wolf snatched up Mr. Floppy into his mouth and began wrestling him through the air! Mr. Floppy was caught completely off guard!

Emily says: He's gonna eat Mr. Floppy! You gotta help Mr. Floppy! You just gotta!

I just gotta! ...immediately start taking pictures! The golden rule flashed through my head! I must have proof or something this awe-inspiring could not have possibly happened! I got as many pictures as I could. Some at different angles. Some from afar! Some from aclose! The Great Mr. Floppy being completely overpowered could not pass by undocumented!

Emily says: Don't go toward the light, Mr. Floppy!

OH %^&*! The Great Mr. Floppy was dying!

I roared at the wolf, hoping to scare it...

You roar with bestial vigor at Ravenous Worg. So fierce!

I pleaded with him...

You plead with Ravenous Worg.

... all to no effect. I then knew what I had to do...

With great testicular fortitude, I laid into the big meanie, forcing him to release The Great Mr. Floppy from his hold. I tore him limb from limb. The Great Mr. Floppy was saved!

... or so I had thought. The Great Mr. Floppy was fatally wounded during his final battle against the big meanie.

Emily says: Mr. Floppy, you're ok! Thank you so much for saving Mr. Floppy!

Poor Emily didn't appear to be aware that Mr. Floppy was no longer with us. Mr. Floppy had gone to bunny heaven, but Emily to this day stands next to her dead Mr. Floppy awaiting for him to get up and proceed to the camp in a mercilessly-slow hop.

It seems that while Mr. Floppy is tagged as Emilys pet, it's the other way around, she works like a non-combat pet and will never go into combat, and thus there is no reason to worry about her measly 105 hp.

It's buggy. Sometimes, when the Ravenous Worg appears, Mr Floppy doesn't get up again and prefers to keep feigning death. :p Luckily the quest is short and it's easy to retry.

SUCCESS!

During the second wolf attack, when Mr. Floppy is picked up, I would usually simply stand there, and kill the wolf when it became available.

This time, out of pure desperation, I had the idea to pull the wolf away from it's initial spot, so that Mr. Floppy would "die" in a different spot. Worked like a charm.

Just move the wolf away from where it attacks Mr. Floppy, and you'll be fine.

It seems like there is a bug. I did this and my first time the mr.floppy died and nothing happened. After reading a few comments I restarted the escort and once the 2nd wolf i appeared I popped all my CDs etc.. and it still died. I typed /roar on the wolf, mr.floppy and emily and for some weird reason mr.floppy came back to life. I'm not sure what it is but it might be a bug.

I had no trouble doing this quest. simply watch out for aggro of any sort, and make sure Floppy doesnt take damage. When it came to the point where the good Mr. Floppy was being eaten alive, the trick is to simply spam your attack hotkey until it lets you hit the worg, then finish it like you'd finish any other mob - fast.
Flopsy should pop out of the dead worg's mouth and "die". However, the rabbit is NOT dead. It is traumatized. If you killed the worg fast, Floppy WILL get back up. It is not a glitch. You can then turn in the quest and reap your lewtz and XP.

This whole quest feels like you are a part of one of the Walt Disney's cartoons. The quest name... the adventure of a little girl, and her best friend, a bunny (*cough*and a night elf in cat form *cough*)... the nature of Grizzly Hills, which is similar to the setting of many Disney cartoons... and on top of that all, the NPC that ends this quest is called "Squire Walter.

Coincidence? I think not.

An interesting way for Blizzard to have a child the focus of an escort quest, without allowing for the taboo possibility of (*gasp*!) a good child dying in a video game.

(So far, books are the only medium that continues to allow that, as far as I know).

Mine bugged by first not letting me target the wolf and then with poor Floppy in it's mouth I killed the wolf and Floppy died- the girl cried and told him to stay away from the light and everything- then she thanked me and stood there. I got bored and left. Repeated it recently and the final wolf is difficult to target because it needs to get a hold of Floppy to make him "almost" die. But making easy work of the wolf- Floppy stayed away from the light and quest was complete.

While this reminds me of "that Disney Movie," it also reminds me of the scene from the beginning of Garth Nix's Sabriel (I think) where the main character brings a little girl's rabbit back to life. Considering Mr. Floppy does indeed die... and then magically spring back up alive again when Emily begins crying... not too much of a stretch?

The Quest is bugged as of patch 3.0.9
When Mr Floppy dies, Emily just stays where she is and doesn't move until despawn.

The quest isn't bugged, you just have to follow what was said in comments up above. Namely, at the last encounter where the wolf eats the rabbit, you have to pull him a few yards away from the spot that he becomes targetable. Whatever effect that kills the rabbit will keep him dead otherwise, and you'll have to restart the quest. I just tested it myself, and that's the key.

Ok i did this one time and failed... the wolf broke the bunnys neck :O but i tried the second time and spammed my attackes and killed him and saved the bunny... u dont have to move just kill him quickly >.>

I thought she was gonna have a mental breakdown and start cradling his lifeless corpse.

i did this quest, and yhea, at the second wolf, he grabbed the rabbit and was unatackabel, by the time the game actually let me hit him the rabbit was dead......

however something funny happened........

The girl says " don't go towards the light Mr.floppy" and =O miracle of miracles, THE RABBIT SPRINGS TO LIFE!, no golden light, no special effects, nothing to prove what I'm about to say, but that girl could have the potential to be a paladin or a priest, she just rezzed her rabbit (maybe kid's don't have a cast animation on this game, wich could explain why I saw no casting on her side) but the fact remains, that rabit was dead, way dead, and suddenly she aproaches him, and ressurects him

o_O

Weird as it might be, i got to the second wolf after failing the quests a couple due to the bug, and when the second wolf attacked i tabbed out and read comments on here, im a pally with ret aura and the wolf died and the bunny was fine. try killing the wolf by not actually killing the wolf 0.o

As others wrote above, it doesn't have to do anything with the time you need to kill the wolf, but it bugs out when you kill the wolf in the spot where he becomes attackable. Simply pull him a few yards away.

I can confirm this worked for me on my second attempt.

Blizzard has some weird thing about sticking things an animal's mouths in Grizzly Hills. Pretty sure I saw a bear actually FISHING in a river and pull a Rainbow Trout out of the water with it's mouth. It then proceeded to beat me with said fish until I slayed the unholy beast.

I just did this quest and it is STILL buggy. We were strolling along, minding our own business, when that darn big meanie showed up. I quickly did my heroic, priestly duty and kicked his big meanie butt. Emily just stood there. Mr. Floppy, however, had his own ideas, and proceeded to keep on keeping on, right until the end of the quest...as Emily, again, stood in the exact same spot. So I mounted up (leaving Mr. Floppy safely behind) and went to see WTF her problem was, and the quest failed. I went back to the tower to pick the quest up again...but Emily and her adorable rabbit were not there. Sad face :(

Hi, just done this quest on 3rd attempt. It's now possible to do it 1st time by reading this.

After u accept quest, you, emily and rabbit start walking. While doing this i killed the bear that is near by...then put all my weapons into my backpack/bag....so i can only use fisty cuffs.

When 1st wolf appears u can't attack straight away. But keep clicking cos in a couple of secs u will be able to. Start punching him while walking backwards to pull wolf a few yards away from Emily. If u are talking to much damage, equip ur weapons quickly to finish the kill.

U will come across a 2nd wolf further down. It will grab the rabbit in its mouth...but do the same as before. Once wolf killed....rabbit will drop from mouth and appear dead....BUT ITS NOT! Don't fly / run away cos u may fail quest. Let Emily finishing talking and that should be quest done. Hand in just over in the camp (up ramp then on left by horse).

Oh....just to add.....if when u kill the 1st wolf, Emily stand there and rabbit runs off. U have failed quest and didn't pull wolf far enough away from Emily. Abandon quest and wait for respawn.

The quest is STILL bugged. Escorted them to first wolf attack and had no problem. As Mr Floppy and I moved on, Emily got a 'hare' up her butt and decided to stay there. When Mr Floppy and I got to the second wolf, Mr Floppy was grabbed by the wolf immediately and killed (no fight, just alive one second andf dead the next). Emily was still back at the first wolf site.

Unless you REALLY need this for the zone achievement (or are really bored and want to count how many times you need to do it before it works), AVOID THIS QUEST.

If you (like me) experience issues that Emily does not follow Mr. Floppy properly (she just stood at the first wolf that attacked us). In any case just follow Mr. Floppy as he is the one you are escorting, moving away will result in quest failed. If you stay next to the "dead" Mr. Floppy after the last wolf "simply" wait for a future patch where this is fixed or contact a GM and he will properly unstuck the NPC's. Darn you Fo' Grizzle My Shizzle for wasting an hour of my time!

Oh last tips how I made it work, taunt of some sort the attacking wolf and go back to where the girl is stuck, Mr. Floppy will follow and when the wolf dies both should reset properly on the right path. 3 wolves attack, mine got stuck on first, I pulled 2nd wolf to the girl, killed it, both NPC reset their waypoints and went for the 3rd wolf. After that the quest is done and you don't have to worry anymore.

I just accepted the quest and it started out fine. We got to a wolf that attacked the bunny, and I dispatched it without further adieu. But THEN, the bunny kept going but the girl didn't. I followed the bunny, of course, and saved it from two more bears going down the hill, but..... Alas... The bunny stopped cold above the meadow with the roaming horses. It won't move! I went back to see if the girl was OK. She's gone! Disappeared into thin air (better than being killed, I suppose). And the poor bunny just sits and waits.... and waits.... the poor thing. Can't stand to be without his girl. I guess I'll have to abandon and try again. :-(

I experienced no bugs. Mr Floppy did a scream of death when the second wolf got him and then Emily rushes forward and said something like 'Oh Mr Floppy stay away from the light'. Mr Floppy then recovers. It's a hoot! :)

2016-05-14: This quest appears bugged, at least in my environment. It begins well enough, but then I was startled by the forced inability to preemptively attack the first wolf; I could only attack it after Mr. Floppy had received the first bite. The same happened with the second attack, and though I was prepared with the wolf targeted and spamming the hell outta my best attack, Mr. Floppy died. Since then I've been standing there waiting for the miraculous completion as claimed by michellehughes five years ago; it's been 15 minutes.

I'm thinking this quest is bugged and there will be no miracle forthcoming.

Ok I tried to replicate what I saw the player do who had posted the youtube video. I was able to get this to work by doing the following.

On the second wolf attack, I got behind the wolf so that I was looking at his rear-end while he was attacking the bunny. And I wasn't just behind, but I was a ways back (caster). I was spamming my cast button throughout this time even though he was not a valid target yet. Immediately after he kills the bunny I attacked him and moved backwards ever more, towards the road/camp. The wolf came at me with the bunny in his mouth, thus moving the bunny's corpse closer to the camp. He dropped the bunny and I killed him. The whole "dont go towards the light sequence happened" and then he came back to life and STAYED ALIVE. Then I got the quest completed signal.

It appears having the rabbit's corpse closer to the camp during the revive script is key. Before, when i attacked from the front, the rabbit would come back to life and then immediately die again and I would have to abandon the quest. Hope this helps.

I can't even tell you how many times I tried and failed with this one...I finally submitted a ticket to Blizzard...and they responded by telling me to read this post - which I had I might add - several times (thinking I must have missed something)...I even turned off all my addons (just incase)...I even watched a lovely russian you tube video on the quest...fact is it's bugged...the first wolf wont kill the rabbit even after eatting him...the rabbit would not die even after a bear and the first wolf faught over eatting him...the second wolf is the problem...people said you have to pull the wolf towards you - not possible...fact is I did the quest bout 30 times because its part of the loremaster and it was not until someone else tried to do it and failed that I was able to do it and complete it...nothing about the senario was any diffrent...just some random other player did the quest and when it reset I tried again and it worked...the wolf still ate the rabbit but this time the rabbit did not drop dead...after 12 years they still have not fixed this one so - don't give up on it if you are shooting for that loremaster but be extremely patient and find a day when you have nothing else to do.

After failing my first attempt, I followed Grammie's instructions, but I am currently an 86 frost mage working on loremaster, and thus could 1-hit the second wolf. I took my weapon off so I wouldn't do that, and when the second wolf appeared, hit him once and ran toward the camp. He followed me for a bit (almost out to where the horses are), and then ran back to Emily. I followed him back and killed him, because I figured at this point I had messed it up and had to start over, but after the wolf died and Emily said "Don't go toward the light," Mr. Floppy came back to life within about 3 seconds. Just a few more steps and the quest completed.

I wish everyone luck with this quest!

It's a cute adventure of little girl and her fluffy friend - Mr.Floppy. During this quest you have to protect them from wolves.
Rabbit got some hp and can tank few damage, but not much. Emily will cry for help if you dont see a threat. Also, wolves arent killable until shreded the rabbit.
Your journey will finish at 54.0 33.4 point, Emily will spot a camp and run straight to there.

Doing it lvl 110, I had the quest bug from the second wolf, the rabbit would simply die with the wolf.
To make it work, I removed my weapon and trinkets that could oneshoot the wolf.
Made him move a little and killed him, and that worked.

First two times on my 86 Subtlety Rogue, bugged due to 1-shotting the second wolf.

Third time, still bugged with no weapons or trinkets.

Fourth and final (read, successful), hit it after a Blind while it was facing the other way.

SUCCESS
I was able to successfully complete this quest at lvl 109 on the first go of using this method. after reading other posts here, I tried hitting the wolf with the soft foam sword. This allowed me to do enough damage to gain its attention, i pulled it about 2 steps away from the point where he grabbed mr floppy and then killed him. and BOOM quest completed!

Its also important to note, i did NOT kill anything prior to it attacking mr floppy.

Excuse me, <Mister/Ma'am>, do you know the way back to the soldiers' camp?

Mr. Floppy and I decided to go for a walk in the woods, and my brother Walter was gonna come with us, but then he had squire things to do.

So Mr. Floppy and I went by ourselves, but we got lost, and there were a whole bunch of hungry wolves, but we found this tower.

The wolves went away, but we're still lost.

I asked Mr. Floppy, and he doesn't know the way back. Would you help us? Please?
