Just so you're not surprised, when you turn this in, 3 Blood Elves walk in and try to jump you. Not a big deal considering all the nearby guards help you and Nexus Prince himself comes from his hiding spot to help. The Ring that the Prince comes in and out of can teleport you to Shattrath.

I am 5 years old and I soloed him, blaa, blaa ,blaa, blaa.

The mobs name is Culuthas. He is 70 elite and hits for around 400-500 mele, he also hits with chain felfire for 1100 - 1400. He has 22k health.

He stands in a broken room on the right side to the path on the hill.

Relatively straight forward as a 70 arms/fury warrior, I had a Mongoose pot up and used Recklessness once I had some rage (where else are you going to use it?).

As the others said, run out of the line of sight when he starts to cast unless pummel or intercept are up, in which case use those.

At 30% start saving rage for a nice execute if you need to, and make sure you have a health pot, just in case.

For warlocks, banish works on the elite demon. Hence it gives you time to refill that health/mana bar before the banish ends.

Solo'd as a holy paladin, the only ability he used for me was "Chain Hellfire" which dealt 1000-1300 damage. I did have to bubble and heal, but I think a class with more dps could do him easily.

Soloable 4 Non-Frost Mages

<Cry> i just did a pretty throrough walkthrough of how to solo this for nonfrost mages. Somehow though it didn't work, and then i goofed getting it back. It's a horrible thing:(

The super short version is: Clear area mobs. Put on Fireshield. After, unloading on Culuthus, run him in circles around the northern "structure" on the rise (bluff, whatever you call it). Use "structure" to avoid geting hit by LOS fireattack of his.

Only use Fireblast spell. You can squeeze in short channeled spells after a minute or two. Fight alst 2-3 minutes. I think it took me a little over 2 minutes.

That's it! Just run the same circle, around the same building, using the same spell, over and over.

My last writeup was probably too thorough anyway. Hope htis helps some folks.

He is soloable as everyone else said, just keep circling around his little building and you LOS his fire attack. Other than that as a rogue I just kept stunning him, and only attacking while he was under stun. When he was out of it i kited around. Not an easy fight but if you know what you're getting yourself into its not horrible.

Very easy to solo. 12/49/0 Pally here. Just do the same as theholy pally did. Jow, bow, and sow...Throw a hammer of justice on em once in a while, very ez. No LoH, or pots necessary.

If you're a feral druid with a good number of armor and HP, don't be afraid to give it a shot. He's nothing like the normal 70-elites, and went down fairly quickly.

Casted regrowth and went bear on him, used a frenzied regeneration after a while, stunned and casted a new regrowth + major healing potion, and then finished it with the bear.

Surprisingly easy for an elite of his number!

I solo'd this as a 70 Arms/Fury warrior. the best way to take him out is to let him take himself out. use spell reflect! he hits himself for 1.5-2k dmg with each cast. you might need to blow some pots, but definitely soloable.

For the Protection Warriors amongst us:

Use your tanking gear to take as less damage as possible from his melee attacks, and make sure you have 25 rage ALWAYS ready for Spell Reflection to reflect his fire spell. Use it immediately when you see him casting the spell (eCastingbar addon helped alot for me). That will be your damage output. I am not really sure if this will work, but I tried it like this and it went very well - he was on 50% while I was on 80%, but then some allies showed up and nuked him down. =o

Soloed as a 70 rogue (combat dagger). Stunned him in the beginning, then evasion/CoS, kicked when he was gonna cast, gouged if I needed a couple of extra seconds before c/d was up on kidney shot, never did move from the spot. No use of pots, banades, finished with 20% HP.

Easy as pie. lvl 70 Feral druid, wearing hybrid gear. Stayed in cat form the whole fight, just kept using maim after a getting a few hits in to stun the demon when the cool down was up, then ran behind the structure waiting for him to catch up. By then I'm back at full energy and maim cooldown is up again. Rince, repeat, took about 30 secs. If life gets a bit low, pop a rejuv and lifebloom in between stuns. Don't think bear form could still do it after the nerv though, mob is also root immune.

Solo'ed him as a protection paladin, in retribution gear with 1h/shield. Blessing of Sanctuary, Judge and Seal of Wisdom to keep mana up. Took a while to kill him but it was quite relaxing.

Quite easy for me as a Balance druid. Sent my trees first while dotting him, then unloaded as much before I got low on health. Then just run around the structure while moonfire spamming, maybe sending a 1.0s Wrath if you get Nature's gracer. Not that hard to kill really, he runs uber slowly.

Also soloable with a 70 Huntard, a couple Serpent Stings then keeping the pet healed till his mana is gone, then just burn him down.

Unfortunatly it's yet another Netherstorm quest with great rewards but nothing usefull to a hunter, nice questline though.

Meh, I figured I would add my "solo" story in there, blew a few cool downs but he went down fairly quickly. Popped my Rock Elemental to tank him and then blew heroism, as a DW Enhancement Shaman, burned through him rather quickly. No kiting, Elemental even held an add I didn't see when I started.

I'd say it's pretty safe to say this quest is soloable for any class as long as the person behind the character has a slight idea of what he or she is doing.

Just Shield Blocked his attacks and Spellreflected his spells. If he casts and SR isn't up just bash and silence the mofo.
Isn't immune to very much afaik or could see.

Since I got sloppy and didn't reflect some attacks I just popped Commanding Shout and victory was mine...
I don't think any class @ 70 will have a problem with this guy. Some classes need to clear some first though.

As a warlock, you could also just enslave Silroth (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=20801) and send him in.
Pretty straighforward after that, just hold aggro low to avoid his hellfires.

Solo'd tonight as a 70 MM Hunter. (AotV on, with about 1600 RAP). Sent pet in, Silence shot when able to, and mend pet as much as possible. My pet died (finally ran out of my 6K mana pool) just as my last autoshot killed him. Just make sure to clear around the area first, in case you have to kite around a bit.

Soloed as a 70 Holy Paladin. Using 1 hand and shield, casting holy shock and exorcism whenever I could. HoJ to interupt Felfire (Arcane Torent also if you are blood elf). Also flash healed myself during the fight, bubbled once to get myelf out of the stun he does. The fight was close and I used 1 mana pot, but not LoH.

Soloed as a 70 Mutilate Rogue.

A good tip is to use mind-numbing poison, since by increasing his cast time you increase the time that you aren't being hit by his melee. Then just interrupt the cast right before it finishes.
Having said that, I did pot during the fight and ended with about 500hp.

Respawn time is 2 minutes, thanks to the aid next to him that goes through the summoning ritual when he dies.

An alliance warlock showed up and helped me with the kill, so I stayed around and returned the favor for him.

Just solo'd him as a frost mage, using the nonfrost walkthrough posted above. I ran him in circles around the building to the left of where he spawns, fireblasted, cone of colded, and ice lanced him to death, using my water ele to start it off for some frostbolts to begin. Easy quest to solo

A fun way to solo him as a lock (any specc) is to go enslave Silroth (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=20801) (i found normally to be at 44,17 ish) mount up, ride up the hill asap then just have Silroth (plus your DPS) utterly destroy him in seconds flat. There's something immensly satisfying about having a huge large dragonkin demon as your pet :-)

Soloed it as a shaman ( elemental specced). The fight is really easy. Just remember to kill all the surrounding mobs. He did 800dmg to me during the fight. Summoned an earth elemental totem and spammed lighting bolt on him. Earth shock helps also. His casts are interruptable, so it's a piece of cake.

Easily soloable even has a holy priest. Use LOS around the building he's standing in. Run in circles. Keep SWP up and use offensive spells as unnecessary. You can do it without getting hit.

Soloed as a 70 Combat Rogue last night. The important thing is to kick/KS his chain felfire, or CloS just before it if both are down. Between all three of those, plus potentially gouge, there should be no reason to ever get hit by it. Never moved from his spawn point (must clear adds first).

Obviously popping Evasion, health potion, and blind/bandage when necessary is important. My gear is mostly blue and green, with two green weapons - only epic I have is Darkmoon Card: Heroism.

zomg! totally easily solo as a lvl 70 mutilate rogue.

#1. instant poison on main-hand
#2. mind numbing poison on off-hand
#3. open with CS/Mutilate combo
#4. KS and spam Mutilate/BS

after that, just keep interupting his casting with Gouge or Kick, KS when you have enough combo points and keep the dmg up. I finished with 40% health without using any pots, bandages or thistle tea. Didn't even have evasion on. Easy money!

70 Holy pally with crap gear (quest greens, about 400 spell dmg) solo'd last night - he's a demon and pretty easy

Clear mobs first.

Run up to him, judge crusader, seal righteousness and judge when up.

Spam Holy Shock and Exorcism when up. When he starts casting use the small pillar on the left to LoS him (imagine it's like a triangle so fairly easy to do)

Shield and healed, and stunned him afterwards to finish him off.

Around 100g total reward and a nice warrior (ret pally lawl) chest after this, definitely worth doing this chain. Plus the keys for the instances...

For non-prot warriors, still go sword and board to beat him. As a fury warrior I tried going Recklessness/Deathwish/Trinket and burning him ASAP but failed miserably, so I threw on my tanking gear, threw up commanding shout and spell reflected/shield bashed all his flames and he went down even with a few mistakes.

Solo'ed as a 70 afflic/lock. I dropped the VW on him, put curse of doom, kept him dotted and drain life on him until the curse knocked him for 8k. I ended up with @ 80% life, and almost out of mana (I did life tap 1 time). The VW didnt hold aggro for more than about 30 secs which was all that wasnt needed anyway

Soloed it as a resto shaman wearing mediocre healing gear. Threw on a trinketed earth shield, windfuried Oathkeeper, strength of earth totem, healing stream totem, grounding totem, hit him with a flame shock, dropped fire elemental totem, then bloodlust. Just earth shocked his spells whenever I could, let the grounding totem get most of the others, ate a couple, threw a couple heals at me and the elemental, dropped a mana tide for posterity's sake, and he died with me at 100% health and about 50% mana with the elemental still standing.

A really good tip is doing (If Warlock) Amped up CoD (If you are affliction specced) then banish rank 2, then rank 1 when that breaks and you'l just have to worry for 10 sec and kaboom, reapply CoD and Banish r2 then r1 and repeat : )

Newely Leveled Combat Mace rogue:
The trick is not to be reckless.
Don't spam full atack because he'll just kill you.
Use gauge as often as its ready to get energy back and to run down the Kidneyshot timer. Beat him to death in the stuns mostly. Also, Mind numbing poison is your friend, 60% increase in casting the fire attack means you always interupt it with gauge/kick/KS.

ended up wit 45% health and one crystal.

Resto Shaman - elementals make this one easy. I pulled with a lightning bolt, then when he went for me, popped Earth Elemental, who grabbed the aggro. Keep a weather eye on the Elemental's health, because if he dies, you'll probably get stomped. I use a unitframes mod, which shows me my focus in a separate window next to where the party window would go. Set the Ele as your focus, and make sure he stays above around 1/3 health - this is the most that the Chain Felfire will do. Meanwhile, I spammed Lightning Bolts on Culuthas, and tried to interrupt his cast with Earth Shock. I had to use a Mana Tide totem, but no pots. Good luck!

Solo'd as a feral druid. Went bear form to mitigate as much damage as possible. Main attacks were mangle + lacerate (for the dot) and then maul. When I got down to 50% health, I kited him around the building and shifted and started casted rejuvenation on my self. He can't really hit you because of los so as long as you keep moving, you're good. Once I was back up on health, I shifted back to bear and fought him again. Rinse and repeat. Easy.

Confirmed easy solo, just kite around building, once he starts casting and you move out of LOS, he'll be quite abit behind you to be unable to melee you, you simple just kite him around like that and avoid his cast

Killed with a prot paladin in my AOE gear. Put seal of light on him and holy shield. Switched to fire resist aura when he cast chain fire or whatever that spell was called. Used avenging wrath and later divine shield to heal so he couldn't sleep me. It was a little close since my gear was bad but I was still in pretty good shape.

i soloed this as a shadow priest 70. started w/ vamp. touch followed by sw: pain as i'm already running away in circles around the structure he spawns at. can't be feared so don't try but since you're kiting and it takes a bit, save your fear in case 1 of those hounds respawns and you have to sw: pain + fear that one until it's dead too, if you do take dmg, pop on vamp. embrace and let it do it's work while you kite. easy to do. good luck!

This fight is trivial as a felguard lock. Send in the felguard with an intercept, keeping anguish and cleave on autocast. DoT him with CoA/Corruption/Immolate and just health funnel the felguard. Renew DoTs as necessary, collect loot.

Solo rogue tactic to take down this guy:

Keep a rotation of kicks and kidney shots to interrupt his castings of Chain Fel Fire. If both are on cooldown, Cloak of Shadows can be used to resist the effect.

Make sure you have a super health potion and you're all set. Use whatever tricks you know to inflict the most massive amounts of damage you can!

Soloed as a 70 Holy Priest. Just used SWP, MB, and Smite to get him down after some running around. You can kite him around *his* little building that he starts out in. When you see him start casting something, get behind something, and then you will get some time for a cast or two. Just keep doing this, and he'll go down, with minimal damage to you. Use your Shadowfiend if you have to, or a mana pot.

I solo'd him as a 70 Protection Paladin. You can come up behind him from the Ridge and take him from the back where he's at.

I had to use Fire Resistance Aura on him. He hits for about 600 and does Fire damage of about 1100 damage in a chain. The fire damage is harsh to take so you may need some fire protection if your doing it solo to help. But if you can silence or stun him when he starts to cast fire spells that all helps. Best to do alot of damage to him at once or as much as possible. Also if you not a class that can self heal when trying to solo him you better take some Healing Potion with you. He has a lot of HP at 22K.

Soloed him as a 69 Feral Druid in my dps gear. Just used the advice already given by runing around the hut during his chain fel fire. Then would Mangle him until I had 5 points, then would use Ferocious Bite. Then I would run again until he started casting then would use healing touch and rejuvenation on myself, then would start the cycle again. Took me maybe 5 minutes. Finished with 25% of my life. Be prepared to get hit a few times with his fel fire even though your out of sight. A potion might not be a bad idea as well. Good Luck!

After reading all the cute ways of doing this and dying, I pretty much summoned my water elemental, had hihim attack first. Then I cast mage armor and casted forstbolts. For kicks, I even casted Fire ward. After using my trinket once, I killed him and still at 25% of my health.

Forget all the LoS stuff. Just kill the darn thing.

For shamans:

1) Be 70.
2) Kill all the mobs close to him first. He won't pull.
3) Use bloodlust as soon as you pull him to put you at an advantage with casting speed.

For enhancement shaman, this guy is not only soloable but very easy. Just keep a grounding totem down every time the cooldown is up (even without the guardian totems talent, the normal cooldown is just fine), and interrrupt his fire attack every time he starts to cast it using earthshock. I also used a fire resistance totem but never ended up needing it, because there is more time in between his casts than it takes for shock spells to cooldown. Heal yourself after you use earthshock to keep yourself topped off (and so you don't waste a global cooldown when you could be earthshocking), keep up shamanistic rage so you don't run out of mana, and it should be smooth sailing. I was at 45% health when he went down, and I only have 7600 hp.

For elemental shaman, he is very kitable because his movement speed slows as he takes damage, so use an earthbind totem and frostshock, move out of LoS or use your grounding totem for his first fire attack, and keep moving him around and earthshocking when you can.

For a resto shaman, why are you solo questing? Make friends. After the 2.3 patch when you can actually do spell damage, keep grounding totem down, use your fire or earth elemental, earth shield, heal yourself and earthshock.

Not too bad as a decently geared retadin (pre-2.3). Managed to finish him off without a lay on hands or potion. Has about 22k health, white hits of around 600 on blue/epic plate, casts a fire-based spell every now and then that hits for around 1500 unmitigated.

What I found helpful as a retadin was to switch to Fire Resistance Aura whenever you see the cast bar for the fire spell appear, then switch back to sanctity aura after it hits. You can stun him to interrupt it as well. Don't forget exorcism and hammer of wrath either; you want to burn him down quickly before the fire damage starts adding up.

As a Marksman Hunter, Immolation Trap, Serpent Sting and Silencing Shot took care of him. He is immune any movement reducing effects such as Frost Trap or Concussive Shot. He almost had me there with the Sleep spell he has but it has a very short duration and I was able to escape out of LOS before he completed his casting.

HA! Killed him *easily* as a 70 Resto Shaman. Buffed, threw down a few totems, pulled with lightning bolt then let the earth elemental loose on him while I spammed lightning at him. The ele kept aggro on itself almost through the whole fight. At the very end he headed my way but I got him before he could lay a claw on me.

Soloable for a protection paladin as long as you're patient and don't burn all your mana right away (or feel like sealing with wisdom the whole time).

I recommend using fire res aura and judge with light as his felfire is really the only issue (and I hesitate to call it an issue). The trick is really just to make some of your mana outlast his. Once he felfires his way to OOMland, he's a piece of cake. I used Divine Shield when I hit 6k health and bandaged, then later on when he was fully OOM popped blessing of protection and bandaged again. The first 1/2 I sealed with Vengeance to add a little extra damage without spending a lot of mana. The final 1/2 of the battle I sealed with wisdom so I could Exorcise as it cooled down while he was meleeing. Once he's out of mana, just keep hacking away and watch your health. It's not a quick battle, but I'm not sure prot pallies know any such thing as a quick battle ;)

Soloing this as as holy priest is fairly easy. Just keep him mana burnt to nothing so he can't sleep or hellfire you. Then you can treat him as a VERY hard hitting normal mob. No running, no kiting, just keep dots on him, keep yourself healed as much as you can, and spam smite till he dies.

As a prot paladin this is actually a really easy fight and I didn't bother with getting him OOM or anything.

Buffed with Kings, Righteous Fury, and Fire Resistance aura on. Run in, judge Seal of Crusader, use Avenging Wrath, smash him with Seal of Righteousness, Consencration, Holy Shield and Exorcism all the time. By the time Avenging Wrath ends he should be down to ~15% and if you used Hammer of Justice you should still be having 80%+ hp. Not much of a problem from here on ;)

Shamans have it easy. Let your Elemental Totem tank behind the hut, hit him from behind. Beware that one of his attacks does a knockback to you (and not your Elemental), so align yourself to where you get knocked back without falling off the plateau.

For the rogues: Soloed with ease at level 70. Keep your interrupts ready, as he isn't immune. He is also not immune to kidney shot, and probably not to cheap shot either in that case (though I opened with garrote as I didn't want to risk it). Even pre-kara rogues should have no problem if they can manage their interrupts. Pop your cooldowns and watch him drop fast.

I just solo'd this as lvl 70 frost mage, no problem at all.

Cleared the entire area, and stood at max range (35 y). Got the pet out first thing and started full out nuking, ice barrier on as often as i could. When pet died and I had around 20% health, I cold snapped, got a new elemental, and iceblocked. He was at around 5% health then and the elemental did the rest while I was safely in my iceblock! :D

Oh and btw he hit me for around 800 in melee, not 500 as someone suggested earlier.

Soloed fairly easy as a level 69 Demonology Warlock. Died twice, the first time I fell off the edge, and the second, I was only milliseconds away from clicking on my potion to use it, and he was down to 3% health that time.

I started by shooting of my Goblin Rocket Launcher, sending my Felguard in, casting DoTs, and spaming shadow bolt. When he started casting his spells, I used Arcane Torrent once, as I am a Blood Elf. And I may be wrong on this one but I may have also interupted his casting by using Death Coil, but don't count on that one.

Chomp a healthstone when needed, and if need be, drink a health potion as well. Use health funnel if your demon can manage to hold the aggro (unlike mine did the third time, for some weird reason). And ideally, if your demon dies, you could prolly bring him back easy with Fel Domination. If I had waited for that to cool down (15 min), I likely only would have died once.

Use "Mend Pet" on your pet, Let your pet attack him till the elite is at 90% then go crazy. That elite is very easy. Just make sure that your pet always has mend pet on.

For a warrior key to win here is a combination of Pumel (Shield Bash) and of Spell reflection. He hit like 450 on plate and if you do well you will kill him with much HP left. Interrupt his first cast and reflect second. Repeat till win.

As a Prot Paladin, I fought him down to half health then when it was clear I wasn't going to kill him I kited him around the building he's standing in front of, he has terrible pathing and its easy to outrun him and periodically do the following (have blessing of wisdom on). It's slow but I barely ever got hit.

- Hammer of Wrath

i soloed as a 70 pom+pyro mage.

i started off by casting pyro blast and then followed immediately with pom+pyro. so we basically began the fight with me at 100% health and him at 80% health. i did as stated above and ran around his building. the fist time i did it, i would try to always turn around and hit him with fireblast, this was my mistake. the second time i did it, i would run until i knew he was far behind me, then stop and wait for him, fire blast him and then turn and run. usually after i turned he would start casting so i would blink and go around the corner. i kept mana shield and fireward up constantly and half way through the fight, instead of stop+turn+fireblast i had to stop+bandage until he was near me. doing this method plus throwing an ice lance in when ever possible worked well for me.

Level 70 Restoration Druids:

Clear the area before hand and keep a lifebloom on yourself. Insect Swarm helps if you have it. Pretty much just run him around the center building keeping dots and using wrath when he casts. His damage is nothing a Lifebloom and Rejuv+Swiftmend cannot handle. Use innervate if you get low but it is pretty easy. VERY SLOW, but soloable.

I didn't bother using barkskin but if he gets close it could help. The only time you really have to worry about his damage is when he runs out of mana and starts to focus on melee.

He is IMMUNE to roots!

For balance druids (aka Moonkin/Boomkin/Oomkin/Laser Turkey): Pretty much the same as above. Use LOS by running around the building to cancel the demon's Felfire, Barkskin when he tries to melee you, your Treant buddies for extra DPS, and Cyclone (if you have it) when you need to heal yourself. Keep Insect Swarm and Moonfire's DOT up the entire fight, spam wrath if you get a break from running around the building in circles. Didn't get a chance to see if Entangling Roots works on him, but from the mage's reports above that their root didn't work on him, I doubt that Entangling Roots would either. Good Luck.

Solo'd on 70 Holy Priest, +1770 healing. Accidentally body-pulled a patting mob at ~75% so it got a bit difficult, would have been a lot easier without.

Since we don't really have interrupts and he is immune to Psychic Scream, I gave myself a Prayer of Mending before every Chain Felfire. Kept Power Word Shield up as often as possible and Renews when it was on cooldown, occasionally having to heal myself right after putting up a shield Bombed smite, Mind Blast, and kept SW:P up the whole time.

All in all I had to use 1 Super Mana Pot, my Shadowfiend, and Symbol of Hope, but I wouldn't have had to do that had I not pulled the big dog guy.

start with both weapons with deadly poison

premed, shadowstep, garrote, hemo until 5 points then rupture and run away

when rupture is up, run back, pop evasion, ghostly strike, and begin bashing his face in until u get 5 combo points and use it on a kidneyshot and begin to bash his face in again until ur evasion runs out and then prep, evasion, ghostly strike and begin to kill him once again using 5 combo points on a rupture then the next 5 on a kidneyshot

then use what ever combo points u got on rupture, run and bandage as needed and kite him until rupture runs out then everytime ur ghostly strike is up, run up to him, use it, then hemo hemo, rupture and run until he dies

USE bandages generously and DONT run to him to attack unless u have at least 2k hp, dont take chances :D waiting for ur bandages up to heal up then attacking is better than trying to go rambo and dying and having to wait 10 min for prep to try again

Culuthas can be soloed by 70 retribution Paladin. I used SoC, Bladefist's Breadth, CS, Exorcism, flash heal, CS, HoJ, Holy Light, Exorcism, CS; at that point I was 30% hp and 20% mana, while the mob was still around 67%, and I thought for sure I would have to run, but decided to go for broke anyway. I LoH and Greater Mana Pot, CS, Exorcism again, by then I had HoJ back up, so I was able to bandage., another couple CS and Exorcism and BAM! Culuthas down and I had 15% hp and 15% mana left.

It was a very good fight, most fun I've had in awhile.

BTW, reviewing my combat log, he does hit harder than previously noted, he melee hit me for up almost 700, and chain felfire a little over 1400... so yeah

Feral Druid (Level 69):

Solo'd as a dungeon geared 69 feral druid. Casted rejuv and regrowth before pouncing. Kept him stunned for lengthy periods of time. Switching to bear to get in a stun whenever he tried to cast. I had to pot and innervate once to switch back into bear. 40% and down in bear. It took skill, but it wasn't the hardest solo fight I've had.

Just be quick on your feet and save your maim for his spell casting (his fire spell hits for about 1300).

I waited for Recklessness to be off cooldown then i killed any surrounding creatures, but saving up all my rage on the last one. Then i charged in with recklessness active and just pounded as fast as i could making sure all trinckets were up and battel shout.

I had a few pots which i used as soon as i hit 75% health and i had bandages. After a 30 second fight i killed him with 15% HP left. My gear was of blue/green quality (mostly rep rewards) however i did have a stormherald from 375 blacksmithing which was maybe the driving force with an adamantite weightstone attached.

I must admit i kind of got lucky but if you can dish out damage quick and have a few pots and heath stones it is soloable by a warrior.

Solo'd as a Combat-Swords spec'd Rogue with 6700 health.

Very easy stuff as the elite demon isn't immune to cheap-shot and kidney-shot like most other elites.

So open with Cheap-Shot, Sinister-Strike to 4 Combo Points, Kidney Shot, Sinister Strike til he recovers then pop Evasion, Blade-Furry and Adrenaline Rush.
Finish with Sinister Strike's until you're ready to Eviscerate.

He'll barely get you past 60% of your health, much less if you use Instant Poison.
(Which I forgot to do. I had Deadly Poison on my blades.)

just solo'd this guy on my 69 sub rogue.

premed-cheapshot'd and hit exposed armour. keep using ghostly strike if possible and if need be, use evasion on the double(using prep). i finished the fight with like 1% of my life left though >_<

having a master healthstone helps a lot as well.

Soloable as a 70 Prot Paladin, just make sure you use your spells wisely.

Drop a Judgement of Wisdom, keep Seal of Light up, and use your bubble and Lay on Hands when needed. Putting up Fire Resistance Aura's not a bad idea, but you can always Arcane Torrent to silence him or drop a Hammer of Justice to stun him when needed, so feel free to just use Retribution Aura like normal.

I took him into the left corner of the little area he's in, to avoid the mobs walking around outside. Didn't have too much trouble, don't be afraid to drop an Exorcism or Holy Wrath, and keep up Holy Shield. Worked for me!

easily soloable with lvl 68 shadow disc priest... just have make sure to mana burn twice at start then silence and continue mana burn till his pool is out... and just keep vamp embrace up... and enjoy!

Elemental shaman, 800 +spell, very easy to solo, just pop earth elemental, wrath of air, totem of wrath, and just use elemental mastery, trinkets, and just do chain lightning and do a regular rotation (make sure to interrupt his spells, and if you don't kill him within the first 10 seconds like I managed to somehow, make sure to heal your elemental, really easy fight.

With the current patch, he's a breeze for me as arms warrior. Clear the area of mobs, and then make sure you're at 100% health.

Charge into him, Rend him, MS him every chance you get and pop retalliation. You should be able to spam Overpower ALOT. If you have to, after Retalliation fades, pop Bladestorm if you desire. After that he should be dead. Solo'd him in Blue gear and a few greens. I had about 70% hp left, but I did use Gift of the Naaru during the fight.

just dot him up and wait for him to cast, then just kite him around his building :P
takes a minute or so but he runs slowly and just seems to love casting

The prince seems to glitch if you kill the 3 Blood Elves before he appears, currently standing randomly in the room in his physical (not image) form, not doing anything.

Edit: The image respawned after a time, but his real form is still there, what a useless image :P

Ok this is really weird. I read the last few posts which don't relate at all to what I encountered when I completed the quest. First of all there are no blood elves. Just Culuthas and his hounds. Just fly to him at 53.5, 21.5 and kill him. Very easy to do on my lvl 74 ret pali. Took me less than 30 seconds. Get the crystal from him and turn in the quest.

If you accidentally one shot all of the blood elf party, Image of Nexus-Prince Haramad will respawn with the next part of the quest chain in about 8 minutes.

• Accept the quest, Full Triangle, from Wind Trader Tuluman at coords 34.6, 37.8 (Tuluman's Landing).
• Travel northeast, to the Ruins of Farahlon, to coords 53.4, 21.4.
• Kill Culuthas, and loot the Ata'mal Crystal from its corpse.
• Travel southwest, to Stormspire, to coords 45.8, 36.0.

If you're a level 100, just don't fight the elves at all, let the guards kill them. It prevents the image from bugging out

Yesterday (03. August 2016) I tried this quest and I think now it bugged or...
Why? Boss don't exist. I tried everything (lose around 30 minute) look video etc. but he isn't there. I tried with mine warlock 100 level and need this quest, if I good understand, to open Alcatraz.

You must complete all the Consortium quests in Netherstorm to get credit for the achievement, not only this short chain quest.

Just reporting that this quest is still a little bugged as of Battle for Azeroth, but the image's respawn timer is significantly shorter, a minute or less.
Seems faster to just nuke the adds and wait for the respawn than wait for the guards to down them though!

I am currently unable to do this quest on my level 38 warlock. Culuthas is not there. I suspect it is because I have not finished the green fire quest chain as the phase I am currently in at the ruins only has observers and no hounds. Things I have tried to fix the bug: relogging, abandoning the warlock quest (still haven't gone and picked it back up), disabling my addons, abandoning the quest (outside of the zone)/picking it back up again, enabling war mode and changing chromie time (to WoD and then back to Outlands).

Supports final response to my problem was "we don't have a solution to this because there are no bug reports about it, so submit one". I ended up going and finishing the green fire quest (at level 40) and now Culuthas is here. For any warlocks with the same problem the only fix seems to be finishing the stupid fire chain.

Description

With the data from both the first and second points, I'm now certain that the crystal is at the top of the Ruins of Farahlon to the northeast.

Unfortunately, the data indicates that the crystal is moving, which means that it has already been discovered, probably by the Burning Legion!

Just in case, I recommend that you take some friends along.

Slay the demon that has the crystal and return it to Nexus-Prince Haramad.
