One of the first quest you will be doing in Burning Crusade, the quest giver gives you the 'Area 52' bomb, with unlimited charges. Then you ask the guy to borrow a wyvern and you throw it off.

You are to hit the objectives with the bombs and has a pretty big area of effect.

The bomb deals 15,000 to 30,000 damage. The quest is also repeatable but no awards given after the first completion

On this quest, its best to aim at the Overlords or Cannons to get it done fast, the peons are always in the way and are easy to hit...

this quest is a lot of fun. i have done it close to 5 times cuz its awesome. they quest rewards weren't exactly good for me because i was a hunter. but enjoy this quest it is alot of fun.

This chain gives you your first really good set of Outlands armor (legs, chest, helmet, wpn). Each piece should out-perform most quest items from Azeroth. Very good chain to start with as it will provide some much-needed gear upgrades when fresh from the portal.

If you just missed one or two and don't feel like going all the way back to reset it, you can Exit Game in mid-flight; if you log back in, your flight path will be reversed and you'll go over them again.

Something that confused me - I got this quest but didn't do it until ages later. I looked in my bags for the bomb and it wasn't there so I thought I must have accidentally discarded it and was about to abandon the quest to get again but decided to talk to the flight master first. HE gives it to you NOT the original quest giver

Put the bomb in the action bar and SPAM it (keep clicking on it and on the ground like mad). That way you will be able to throw 3-4 bombs PER COOLDOWN.

If you get summoned to a dungeon through the random tool, the flight will reset.

I was on my way back after a finished bombing run, and was surprised to be forced to take the scenic route, again.

May seem like a big quest line, but only takes half an hour to complete or so.
At least as a lvl 58 affli warlock, and I did a few other quests while doing this chain.

so, blizzard has come a long way with their implementation of bombing quests since burning crusade, yet they have done nothing to update this quest. instead of working on updating this and other similar quests to use the vehicle bar and have a button to send you back immediately when you are finished the quest objectives, they work on stupid frivolous things like transmogrification so that subscribers like bored housewives, who would be interested in such things, wont cancel before the next expansion.

Note that if you plan on questing in Nagrand, you need to complete this quest chain at least this far in order to unlock The Assassin quest chain; until this second chain is completed the NPCs in Garadar in Nagrand will be unfriendly to you, so you won't be able to speak with them to do any quests.

I have the quest, the bombs, I get on the flying mount, and ride around, it kills things i bomb, but I don't get credit for killing any of the mobs. What am I missing here?

This quest appears to have been updated - somewhat badly - for 5.0. It now attempts to send you home once you've hit your quota. However, it might bug out and send you home before you're done - it took me three tries to actually finish the quest. The first time out, I tossed one bomb and immediately got sent back. It's inconsistent, though, so just keep trying and you should get it eventually.

Still bugged as of 5.4. Went on two runs, got sent back after the first bomb throw each time. Not worth the waste of time for the one quest, I just dropped it and moved on.

As of 11/20/2013 this quest is still bugged. I have had to do three runs thus far. After every bomb the wind rider goes all crazy and doesn't know where to go. I suggest going as far in (not firing any bombs) and wait until the end of the path to start throwing, makes it easier.

Quest is bugged in 6.1 and not possible to complete. The Wyvern takes off, then turns around and lands and doesn't go to the shelf. Probably something related to the changes they did to flight points.

Same happens to me. The quest just before this one, to bombard those two gateways, was bugged too. But after like my third try, it worked.

With this in mind, I thought that if I tried this quest a lot of times it would work, but it didn't so I agree it is still bugged now (patch 6.1).

I just got done doing this quest and found it to be bugged in a slightly different way. The flight would take me to the shelf, but then as soon as I dropped a bomb, the wyvern would turn around and head back to camp. So, I decided to try something different. I took the flight but did not drop any bombs until I was on the far side of the Abyssal Shelf. The wyvern turned around but I was able to drop several more bombs on the trip back to camp, and completed the quest before it had taken me out of range.

So sad. Quest location changed. We don't fly out onto the floating island which is always in danger of flipping so we were warned to hold on. So funny. I wanted it to flip.

Quest is currently minorly bugged. After completing all the quest's objectives, you're unable to turn it in to the quest giver. Talking to Wing Commander Brack and flying out again will allow you to complete it.

Possibly a new issue with 7.0.3 - even though the targeting reticule is green, it often says that I need to be nearer the target. I need to cancel the current target and aim again before it will work.

Description

Now that you've got your wings, perhaps you'd be interested in running another bombing mission?

This time we've isolated the Legion's main production area, behind the forge camps to the north. I need you to get on a wyvern and destroy the whole damned thing!

Here are your bombs - now, talk to Wing Commander Brack when you're ready for takeoff.
