Gorkek is part of the Adventurer of Zereth Mortis achievement

Gorkek is a Rare Elite located in Zereth Mortis near the Sepulcher of the First Ones.

Access to this island is unlocked at the end of Forging a New Path, Chapter 4 of the Zereth Mortis Campaign, most specifically the quest Key Crafting.

This island can be reached early by jumping from 65.02 53.44 with a Goblin Glider Kit to get closer to it before dying to the void, you will then be able to resurrect on the island without Resurrection Sickness. /way #1970 65.02 53.44

It has multiple spawn points, each of those is near a small lake in which it patrols around.

Criteria of: Adventurer of Zereth Mortis

Rare mob can be found on Sepulcher of The First Ones island, at the southwestern edge of map.
You can travel to Sepulcher of The First Ones after completing chapter 5 of Zereth Mortis campaign.

To solo Gorkek you have to avoid Tongue Lash by walking away and interrupt Play Dead.

While it is intended to reach this Rare after completing chapter 4 of the Zereth Mortis storyline, you can reach him early with the use of Goblin Glider Kit

If you don't have or don't want to use a goblin glider, you can also use any of the parasol toys across the gap before dying, then rezzing there.

One of the few rares I've found that's not higher than level 60 and is tamable. Glide over now and get yours before people can get there normally and wont give you a chance to tame.

Very soloable. Prot warrior 230ish ilvl. Don't think I dropped below 50% health. Took a long time. I did almost die and had to reset when some mobs aggro'd. I got him when he was on the north side in the area with the neutral frog mobs.

Not much of a useful comment, but the fact that this rare shares the very same name as my Observer pet on my Warlock made me quite confused on why people kept calling it on the general chat at first

I have yet to see this rare up and it's the last one I need for the achievement. Does anyone have an idea of the spawn time? Regret not killing it before the raid opened.

Soloable? You're kidding, right? He lays down, naps, and heals while you're fighting him. I couldn't overcome his healing as a SV Hunter. Only certain stuns will work on this one?

It's a reference to Kekistani and Pepe at the same time.

Just so you don't waste 5 hours camping the spawn points like I did, Gorkek doesn't spawn every day :')

After searching the internet, I could not find any information on helping me find when Gorkek spawns.

After asking in the secret wow finding discord, someone suggests to keep killing the frogs and he will spawn. I see some frogs are already dead so I assume someone else is doing the same, and I kill whatever frogs I can find on the island. And then he spawns.

Coincidence or not, I'm not sure but at least a tip of advice for people to try.

Not spawning every day. Go to wowhead main page. There is a list called "NOTABLE ZERETH MORTIS RARES". If its on that list, you can camp it that day.

Keep an eye on your map if you're hunting this one. Like Corrupted architect, Garudeon and several others you can see him on the full map as a rare elite icon when he's up.

There is, however, no world message in brown saying "Something does the this or that in the somewhere or whatever" so you just have to remember to open your map every now and then. We're at the point where people with endgame-ish gear can kill these things in mere seconds, and considering everyone that opens their map will know it's up, it's likely to not remain up for long.
