I found myself running around looking for ways to get rep at the start with them and then I came across Incense Gratification which I received after completion of Smells Like Kith Spirit and rewards Pungent Niffen Incense, worth 1000 rep.

on the 13th quest of the main campaign, you get 2500 Loamm rep. Smells Like Loamm

Don't worry, it don't take that long. Only 2 quest are relatively long because NPC talks too much.

Season 2 is here, if you do 12 out of 12 Research Underfire event, you get 1000 reputation.
Go to premade groups and join or make a raid group of it, to make sure you get plenty of people to do it!

I used the item for 2,500 rep and did the big world quests without having the quest. Now im ^&*!ed, good job blizzard.

Its funny that the grindiest content is casual content. No rep from rares. 25 rep from events. 125 rep from elite WQs. Why bother? Blizzard needs to take notes from Beast Tribes, these renown tracks are insufferable.

completing Researchers Under Fire will grant 1k rep. if you get something lower than tier , do it again until you get tier4 for the full rep reward

To help with the rep a little bit, if you have any digs with Myrrit, do those because I was getting 200 rep for each one.

Easiest ways to complete this from top to bottom assuming you have done the campaign and sidequests and are out of tokens, and no longer have an account-wide rep bonus:

1000: Indebted Researcher's Gift from Reseachers Under Fire, group up on reset days.
500: Loamm Niffen Insignia from this, if you have a lot of Niffen 20 alts doing the weekly (this snowballs, pretty much).
250: Loamm Niffen Insignia from Buried Niffen Collection obtained from Sniffseeking.
200: if Sniffseeking anyway, kill Treasurewhiskers for max of three weeklies, 200 each.
Varies: any profession weeklies and world quests you were intending to do anyway.

In practice, I end up running my three Sniffseeks, getting a Treasurewhiskers in each and usually get up to two item weeklies, and time it around Researchers Under Fire for the bag. If I'm still lacking, I do the profession weeklies and the dragon races. Then I use BoA tokens to finish it up. At the moment I have a fair amount of BoA tokens in reserve, in case I miss a Researchers. If you haven't done the campaign this is easy: Smells Like Loamm finishes it (make sure to pick up the weekly first!), as do the campaign tokens (Symbol of Friendship): I do however spend these early to get alts to 20.

Doing this in patch 10.1.5 - doing the Sniffenseeking, at each new puzzle site, I was able to gather a one-time-only quest item giving about 200 rep and in the reward bag for one of them I also got a Loamm Niffen Insignia which grants 250 rep.

One of the worst Quests in the entire game.

It's a grindy weekly vs overtunned mobs so it forces you to group. Only some of the content even grants rep in the zone, and the world bosses don't give rep if your in a group. Blizz put no thought into this one whatsoever.

After you complete this quest, DO NOT click on the 500 reputation that you won. Save it for next week to use towards your next 1500 rep. Researchers Under Fire gives 1000 rep, and this gives 500. rep You will never have to do any other quests to reach 1500 rep. Only these 2.

The quest no longer rewards the Loamm Niffin Insignia. It is still in the quest description as being one of the rewards, but it hasn't been rewarded for several months. I have put in two bug reports so far and it has just been totally ignored as always.

Looks like this is bugged in the latest patch. None of the rep you earn toward Loamm Niffen will go toward the progress of the quest.

Since 8/7/2024 patch, the only rep you will get for this quest is your paragon rep after you hit renown 20. I just hit renown 20 today, I am 711/7500 in paragon rep, 711/1500 of Worthy Ally
