Pick up " Friends in Dalaran " if you have not done that yet. Same NPC giving this one here.

Pick up quest, Enter Throne and watch cinematic. End of story.

You can NOT enter undercity after turning in. - You must enter by talking to time travel guy

After you complete this last quest in the storyline, you get the Return to Lordaeron achievement and the title.

Then all blood elves, night elves, and void elves on your account will have access to the Dark Ranger customizations. This means that when you go into the barbershop, you can choose red eyes and gray skin for your elf characters.

If you got the achievement on your hunter (doesn't have to be an elf), you can then go to your Legion class hall and purchase Ensemble: Dark Ranger's Attire.

There is no special message for Hunters when you complete the Return to Lordaeron storyline and earn Return to Lordaeron (Hidden Character Achievement)*. To buy the Ranger transmog set, Ensemble: Dark Ranger's Attire, go to Trueshot Lodge in Highmountain (Legion xpac).

Getting to Trueshot Lodge

If you've done the Legion starting quests:

Make your way to Dalaran (over the Broken Isles) using the purple Dalaran hearthstone.
Go up the stairs to the flight point (Krasus' Landing).
Rubel says:

To get to Trueshot Lodge faster talk to Talua, she will teleport you there.

Talua is a Tauren standing across the platform from the flight master. She provides an eagle who teleports you to Trueshot Lodge.
OR see the flight master. All flight master maps in the Broken Isles will show Hunters a flight point for Trueshot Lodge.

Otherwise try:

Using the portal to Aszuna in Pathfinder's Den. Look for the nearby Illidari Stand flight point at 44.7, 43.8 in Aszuna. This is faster than flying directly to the unmarked Trueshot Lodge in Highmountain.

Outfitter Reynolds

The entrance to Trueshot Lodge is at 48.8, 39.2 in Highmountain. Inside turn right. It's dimly lit. Look for the worgen ~~tauren~~ surrounded by other players. Sells:

Ensemble: Dark Ranger's Attire
Pet Training Manual: Play Dead so your pet won't keep fighting when you use Feign Death.
Pet Training Manual: Fetch. Your pet will retrieve loot from your prey.

To return to Dalaran, go up the closest stairs and take the glowing portal back.

Notes: My hunter did basic Legion quests and acquired a legendary weapon before Shadowlands. I don't know how much or how little you have to do to access Trueshot Lodge.

How to complete the Dark Ranger look (horde hunters guide).

1 – You must complete the Call to Lordaeron quest chain, ending with A Walk with Ghosts, on your hunter. If you would like to check if you have completed Call to Lordaeron, run this script: /script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(65656)) or if you want to see if you have completed A Walk with Ghosts run this script: /script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(65788))

2 – Completing this chain will award the achievement Return to Lordaeron and a title “…of Lordaeron.” If you had already done it on another character on your account you won’t get the achievement because it’s account wide and you already have it, but you will see the text awarding the title to you. You will also get the ability to go to the barbershop on any elf character on your account and change your appearance to have white skin and red eyes.

3 – Note, if you complete this on a nonhunter you will be still be rewarded with the ability to visit a barbershop and change your skin and eye color to white & red on any elf character on your account, but you will be unable to purchase the ensemble for hunters. So if you want the ensemble it is important to do this chain from the start on your hunter.

4 – As of the TWW prepatch, Call to Lordaeron automatically appeared on all undead characters, despite being an old quest. Now, if your hunter is undead that is fine and dandy and you can complete everything, but if your hunter is not undead you did not get the breadcrumb and you must go to Oribos and talk to Calia Menethil on your hunter to start the chain manually if you have not done it (again, see script above to check).

5 – Once you have completed the chain on your hunter you now have to go to your class hall, Trueshot Lodge in Highmountain. If you do not have this open you will have to research that as I don’t remember how to open class halls. But if you opened it in Legion you just need to go to Dalaran (easiest if you have the Dalaran Hearthstone) and go to the platform where the flight path is. On that platform is an NPC with a bird, talk to the NPC to go to Trueshot Lodge. You can also fly there.

6 – You can now purchase Ensemble: Dark Ranger's Attire from Outfitter Reynolds for 1,000g. If your hunter is an elf you can go to the barbershop to complete the look by changing your skin color white which will also change your eyes red.

7 – As a side note, if you do the Call to Lordaeron chain on an undead and have not completed the Forsaken Heritage armor set it will lead right into that chain which starts with Unliving Summons and rewards Ensemble: Forsaken Champion's Attire.

A Walk with Ghosts

Speak to Calia in the throne room of Lordaeron.

Description

Reclaiming these ruins means a lot to the Forsaken. Especially since the war ended, our people have needed something to hold onto, to give us purpose in the wake of everything that's happened to us. I saw Calia walk toward the throne room. That place holds many memories for her. Many ghosts. We should check on her.
