If you happen to get stuck on this quest (Prince Erazmin sometimes disappears toward the end), you can drop the quest and ask him to do it again, but this time tell him you don't need a tour and you will be able to go to his end position (near the dungeon entrance) and complete the quest.

Stupid question: What if the Prince is not there? I don't have any quests for Mech, I've completed the ones for today. Halfway through Friendly.

I took a quest from Prince Erazmin but didn't realize I had to follow him. He walked off to the upper platform. But since I had not followed him there was no option to finish the quest.

Drop the quest and restart it. This time follow the little guy or this same bug will happen.

I was having an issue completing this quest on an alt and tried to abandon the quest and followed Prince Erzamin to no avail. I had somehow started the mechagnomes allied quest apparently on him and decided to try and finish it and after I did and came back to mechagon sure enough Prince was standing there waiting for me..

so if you're having problems see if you're on the mechagnomes quest line and try to finish it and it should free him and allow you to finish it

I was trying to hand this quest in on a alliance alt, after having completed the allied race requirements on my horde main. It bugged out and i could not hand the quest in due to the npc being phased out but visible on the mini map. I eventually completed all other non daily quests available and at the end of a short chain of quests i unlocked mechagnome allied race and got the associated mount.

I just found a work-around for this. Just complete this questline:
Allies of the Alliance: Mechagnome
..and he will show back up in the right spot.

Not sure if this works for everyone... when I go off and do another quest and I fly back... the Prince is there with the (?) and if you are quick enough before he fades out, you can click him and turn in the quest.

Important for those who may be having "Phasing" issues in being able to do this quest and turn it in:

First, if you jumped into BfA on an alt and have NOT done the "Urgent Care" quest chain offered by Kelsey Steelspark (she is in the Boralus harbor trade market area) then you need to look for Waren Gearhart, she is at 73.1 / 33.3 in Rustbolt. She should have the quest "The Current Schematic" available. This is part of the Urgent Care chain I just mentioned. You must do this chain to the end, the final quest is "Propagate The News". That is 9 quests including "The Current Schematic". Takes less than 15 minutes on a max level alt.

Once you have completed this final quest in Stormwind and you make your way back to Rustbolt, Prince Erazmin is now available to turn your quest in, and your Rustbolt dailies are now opened up.

Note as well that you must do the quest chain into Nazjatar beginning with "Send The Fleet" offered by King Genn Greymane, who is on the Alliance ship, The Wind's Redemption in the harbour, he is in front of the Mission Command Table where you send out your BfA champions for their daily missions or such. You have to do up to the "A Tempered Blade", which actually unlocks the dailies in both Rustbolt and Nazjatar. Most players will do this then talk to Gila Crosswires by the Boralus flight master, she offers the "Fame Waits for Gnome One" which gets you to Mechagon ... eventually.

Seeing as how messed up the hand in for this quest is I barely dare to suggest this.
He disappeared for me as well, after trying everything with dropping the quest etc, reloading, restarting, flying to another zone on the island and back; I started following the suggestion of going to the embassy to do the questline to unlock the race. Except it wasn't there yet as I hadn't finished the intro questline into mechagon (this disappearing prince).
Taking the flight master back into mechagon and he was suddenly standing where he was supposed to be and I could hand in the quest.

Now I don't know if just flying out of mechagon to another zone and back is enough because I went all around Azeroth to figure out what was going on, but give it a shot and upvote or downvote accordingly will you?

Description

Life in the Rustbolt Resistance is not easy, <name>. But it is yours. We will not order you around or force you to fight. Mechagon is a land of endless opportunities, and you may chase whichever opportunities you see fit. Of course, if you'd like suggestions for which improvements you most require, myself or any of the other mechagnomes in town will be happy to advise you of your current weaknesses. But, for now, I ask simply that you walk with me to my workshop.
