Is it me or is this either bugged or ridiculously hard to complete. I'm a well geared Pala and I'm getting my arse handed to me.

Found the answer:
don't attack the boss, when the adds come they leave a blue sparkle that you can click on, click on these and they damage the boss.

After you activate the projector, get OFF of the platform. If you stay on the platform you'll get repeatedly stunned and damaged. Stand a little ways off the platform, and fight the adds there.

When an add dies, it leaves behind a little lightning ball with a flashing blue arrow-chevron over it. Run up to it and click on it. It will fly up to the boss and damage it. You may need to walk onto the platform to reach the lightning ball, so if you do, make sure to run back off the platform after you've clicked on each lightning ball.

You should only need to click on 2 (or maybe 3) lightning balls before the boss gives up and flies off. This will give you credit for completing the encounter.

yes, don't try to do the fight on the platform and get just about 3 feet away from the top of the platform and click on the balls as they fly from the bots.
I was also noticing there is a line of sight issue. so I think as you click on them you have to be visually facing the boss.

You can stand on the platform if you stay off of the electrified grid part of it. The pathway in between is fine.

Seems only one player at a time can do this. Biggest waste of time. Apparently Blizz has figured out how to create even worse quests than they ever had before. Anyway, I think you have to be right up against the platform when clicking on that ball; otherwise the oppression unit won't fly away.

Possibly a lot of people were having trouble with this quest, as the comments suggest. When I did it today, the blue ball that you need to click on now has an arrow pointing to it. Of course the arrow is also blue, and given the fairly dense animations going off all over and around you, it's easy to miss the arrow, lol. Anyway though, props to Blizzard for taking at least some action to give us a clue.

This has been greatly nerfed now. I killed one mob, clicked on one blue dot, and the quest was complete. Yet another thing that used to be ALOT harder back in the day. LOL

This is not a bad quest -- it's harder than most, but very doable.. It does exercise your ability to move and shoot accurately so it's good practice.

Hack a projector to display the Rustbolt Resistance emblem and defend it.

Description

My people are once again safe... for now. King Mechagon won't stop sending his armies at us as long as he does not fear us. We must send him a message. Climb to the top of the ramparts, and hack one of my father's projectors to proudly shine the banner of the Rustbolt Resistance big enough for the whole island to see. I'm sure that'll attract the attention of my father, King Mechagon.
