You have to travel to Azsuna to Rhut'van Peak area (coordinates around 41 24), there is the scenario starts. It has 7 stages:

Meet up with Thesalee Clow:
Thesalee Clow awaits you at 41.3 24.7 point.
Infiltrate the Legion Encampment:
Shift into cat form and follow Thesalee. Use prowl to move sneak past demon patrols.
Scouting Infazzar's Plans:
Stay awhile and listen to Infazzar, your follower becomes angry and demons detect both of you.
Flying abominations:
Fight demons to fill up the progress bar. I killed all otherwise there the fight status was been keeping for me.
Ride the Lunarwing Owl to Infazzar's demonic ship:
Finally, we have to finish our business. Find the Deep Crack in the ground and turn in the quest. Your Decaying Reins of the Vilebrood Vanquisher ready to use.
Kill Infazzar:
You have to clear your way through mobs and finally defeat Infazzar. Loot the Corrupted Idol of Aviana.
Return to the Dreamgrove:
Use Dreamwalk and turn in the quest to the Idol of Aviana.

I just did this with Thisalee Crow as my assigned Combat Ally, and yes I got full help from both Combat Ally Crow and Quest NPC Crow for the duration of the scenario.

Quest line for the class mount starts at Grovewarden Proudhorn on Broken Shore after completing Breaching the Tomb with a Druid.

Talon's Call - use Dreamwalk and visit your order hall
Defense of Aviana - leave your order hall and use the eastern portal to Hyjal, flight path Shrine of Aviana). Talk to Skylord Shadegrove and kill demons to fill the bar. After that, enter the building and use your Dreamwalk again.
There is a small path beyond the moonwell in the northwest of the map. Find Thisalee Crow.
You Can't Take the Sky from Me - fly to Azsuna (Challian's Terrace or Azurewing Repose) and the marked quest area. You'll get phased into a scenario.
- find Thisalee Crow
- use Cat Form, Prowl and go to /way 43.07 22.98
- kill the attacking enemies to fill the bar
- run up the hill (43.0 24.0) and let the Lunarwing Owl transport you to the ship
- kill demons and Infazzar the Shade. You can use Thornstalk Barbs on him
- return to your order hall

Archdruid's Lunarwing Form will be added to your spell book automatically after turning in the quest, it replaces your flying Travel Form.
This class mount changes your flight form's appearance. Its color depends on your race:
Night elf : black
Tauren: brown
Troll: red
Worgen: white

If you don't like it, you can turn it off (and on again) at Skycaller Faeb in your order hall:

So getting there was a itch . jumping up the side of the mountain from the north and when i got close enough it teleport me. Not sure if this was intended or not,

After completing the quest line I still couldn't use owl form. I still have to grind out pathfinder broken Isles

Like all the other mount quests I've done (Paladin, Rogue, Hunter) this one has its problems. (1) Thisalee disappeared long before I got to 100% on the bar. Don't know where she went - she never came back. I had to exit and do it all over again. (2) There's no time to heal. If you're not a self-healing character (like Priest or Paladin) you're pretty screwed. In the 4 that I've done, including this one, I've died no less than 4 times. The Hunter was the worst with me dying about 14 times! (3) There's no place to get armor repaired. My armor went yellow every time. With the Hunter it went red and I had to start all over again after getting it repaired. Blizzard clearly does not think through these scenarios and assume that everyone is max'ed out on armor, weapons, etc. which has not been the case for me. This is supposed to be a game and supposed to be fun. NONE of these scenarios have been fun. They've been overly complicated and frustrating!

Another quest that results in multiple deaths and repair bills because attacking one mob brings them all down on you. There's no time to heal because you're being hammered by attacks. You can't kite because there are too many mobs wandering around. Frustrating and I don't understand why these quests are designed this way. Thisalee herself ran around and aggroed so many mobs, I died twice right at the beginning. Really wish they'd reconsider quests that seem to be designed for heavily geared people.

Edit: And now, just got disconnected, kicked from the scenario in Azsuna, and ported *back* to the Shrine of Aviana. Not. Fun.

So, don't get too excited: this is NOT the quest to give you flight ability in Legion. This just gives your flight form a different appearance.

Trying to find your way up there? Go to where the path for the Nor'Danil Wellspring branches off from the path around the mountain at coordinates 41.14 35.31. It is southwest from Azurewing Repose and northwest from Illidari Stand. Follow the path toward Nor'Danil Wellspring and shortly you'll see another smaller path going off to the north. There's a broken column around coordinates 39.14 32.75 that marks the start of the climb up the mountain. Follow the path up and around a few switchbacks and it will take you to Rhut'van Peak at coordinates 38.5 28.58 and the start of the scenario.

When you unlock the Archdruid's Lunarwing form on your druid you need to do a bit more to unlock it on any other druids you have. They need to go to Moonglade (use the portal at the Dreamgrove). Talk to Skycaller Faeb (53,42) to activate this form. She is located on the top of the building for some crazy reason.

One other thing that I can't see listed on here (please tell me if it is) but to fully unlock this appearance you need to have Artisan Riding.
I levelled my alt druid and merrily flew around all the way up to level 110 without AR then did all the quests and my form didn't change. Logged it as a ticket and was told that I was missing AR -_-

Just like the previous quest, if, like me, you're doing this in BFA and it gets bugged out and you can't use dreamwalk at the end of the scenario, you just have to leave the area to be able to use flight form/dreamwalk. Which is a tad harder, since it's a ship in mid-air, but if you have the Skyhorn Kite or a glider handy, etc, then you should be good once you zone change to Azsuna.

Just drop ship and fall. Then use flight form (if you have), you are phased out. Then use Dreamwalk.

Apparently this one's bugged. The 6th step flies you up to a legion ship to fight a demon, but it just keeps teleporting me to the ground. I've opened a ticket, we'll see what happens.

This quest is broken. The scenario is impossible to pass stage 6. Even after doing everything to try to fix it. Now the quest giver is gone completely to even to try the scenario again. Tells me Thisalee Crow is at the dream grove, and mount Hyjal. Absolutely frustrated.

After the end of the scenario I was unable to fly or use Dreamwalk. I tried jumping off the ship as suggested, went splat and auto-rezzed, but still couldn't fly or use Dreamwalk. I got picked up by a lunarwing owl and carried right back up to the ship! The only way back to the Dreamgrove was to hearth out and fly there from Dalaran.

As of patch 9.0.1 you have to visit the barber to activate your new Lunarwing form.

Dreamwalk was still broken so I hearthed at the end and dreamwalk'd from there.

Use the toy Nature's Beacon to get off the ship and then use Dreamwalk, Don't jump and go splat.

As the new pre-patch for Shadowlands became active, you must now visit the barber and select "lunarwing" under the Flight Form section in order to see your new class mount style.

I've created an account just to help anyone who may have abandoned this quest and is struggling to re-accept it like I was!

Here is my original ticket:

During the scenario with Thisalee Crow to unlock the Druid Class Hall Mount, she disappeared and it forced me to abandon the quest. After teleporting out of the scenario, I am struggling to re-accept and attempt the quest again.
The exclamation mark on the map indicated that Thisalee is both at The Dreamgrove and also at Nordrassil, however she is not.
After checking both of them areas, and also Deliverance Point I have been able to locate 2 versions of her at the Shrine of Aviana where a previous quest in the chain was completed. One by the flight master and one in the entrance of the building.
I can interact with her but I only get a generic text chat back, no quest.

After a few days and a couple of tickets I had a GM finally help me locate the correct (3rd) phase version of her. Here is the reply from the GM that actually helped me fix this whole issue and regain my sanity:

Thisalee Crow should indeed be in the Dreamgrove (your class hall).
She is however, pretty much outside of what you see on the Dreamgrove map in the far north. If you have the map open whilst being in the Dreamgrove, she is north-west of the word "The" of 'The Dreamgrove'.
Once in the scenario you need to make absolutely sure to do exactly as she says, even if you are outgearing the scenario completely.
Don't run ahead, stay stealthed when she says so and follow her instructions to the letter. Then it should work like a charm.

After I read this reply I understood why she disappeared that first time for me during the Scenario in Azsuna... she was just stealthed... (yes I am that stupid).
So upon re-accepting it, I marked her with a 'moon' and concentrated 100% on the quest. Prowling enabled me to see her again, then I followed her up the hill, cleared the mobs when instructed to do so and completed the quest eventually.

At the very end of the scenario after killing the main demon she suggests for you teleport to Dreamgrove. I could not do so however, as it kept saying the spell could not be used there. I can confirm you are ok to Hearth out and then use your teleport to Dreamgrove to hand-in when it's checked off as completed.

This is the final step for the Lunarwing.

As I have just completed this during Shadowlands pre-patch I can also tell you that in order to actually see the Lunarwing form, I had to visit a barber and switch between flight form appearances a couple of times for it to register!

Hello guys I am interesting if this form still available on SL prepatch? Because I am trying to get it for my druid. I know I need to finish Breaching the Tomb but last quest I done is Defending Broken Isles from Maiev Shadowsong but after that she is not giving any quest. And I dont have any quest in Broken shores. Do I need any reputations to unlock another quest? I am friendly now with Armies of legionfall. Thank you!

I lost Thisalee Crow during the stealth portion of this quest. She ends up behind a rock at /way 43.1, 23.0

Okay, so I just completed this as of December 2020, and it is possible, but very very glitchy. After defeating the last demon, I had to run all over the ship back and forth to make my blasted ride re-appear again. You can't fly off this ship otherwise, and you can't portal to the Dreamgrove while you're on it.

I suggest either (1) having a goblin glider available, or (2) just hearthing to Dalaran and going to the Dreamgrove from there.

These quests are so buggy. Had to teleport to Dalaran before it would let me return to the grove!

Once I looted the idol, there was no quest mechanic for returning to the Dreamgrove. Couldn't use Dreamwalk. Couldn't use flight form. I tried jumping off the ship hoping to be allowed flight form mid-fall. Nope. Splat! As other posters have mentioned. Was able to rez with no corpse run, but still couldn't not use Dreamwalk or flight form. After awhile, a Lunarwing owl showed up. Mounting just took me back to the ship. Ended up using the Dalaran hearthstone just to get someplace to Dreamwalk.

As of 9.1.5, to acquire your Lunarwing form:

1. Have at least 1 character that has completed the campaign achievement “Breaching the Tomb”. <-- as of 9.1.5 The requirement to have this completed on each character has been removed.
2. Complete your Druid Class Orderhall Questline (chores). <-- this should take about 2 days to complete.
3. Get the quest from Khadgar on the Broken Shore “Champions of Legionfall” and Thisalee Crow should be waiting for you in your Orderhall with a Quest chain which upon completion you recruit her as a follower.
4. Upon Completion of all of the above, The questchain (starting with “Talon’s Call”) to get your Lunarwing form should finally be waiting for you on the Broken Shore.
5. Visit a barbershop to apply (or remove) the Lunarwing flight form.

Description

The Shrine of Aviana has fallen to the demons, and the Idol of Aviana has been stolen. That idol acts as a link between the Druids of the Talon and the powers of flight granted to us by Aviana. The Druids of the Talon have decided to rebuild a new shrine in a more secure location: here in the Dreamgrove. Meanwhile, I'm going to get our idol back.
