I found the best place to hunt for Rockjaw Bonesnappers is around ronband's Compound is just southwest of Helm's Bed Lake, which is on the Eastern side of Dun Morogh.

For those of you with Cosmos or Titan Panel add-ons, the coordinates are are around 77,60

Note: If you're a warrior, this quest pairs well with "Ironband's Compound" pairs will with this quest, since the ore you're looking for is in the same area. (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=1681)

If you're gonna do the quest inside Gol'Bolar quarry, the most of them are inside the cave. Otherwise they're southwest of Helm's Bed Lake.

Slightly annoying if you die in the cave. the time you spawn, and kill a couple more, you have some running after you behind you attacking.

This quest is repeatable, and will not be considered as complete by addons like EveryQuest or by the Wowhead Profiler.

As of patch 3.3.5 the quest is non-repeatable, but does count towards Loremaster and 3000 quests. EveryQuest also does count it complete when finished.

This quest has been markedly altered in 4.0.3 so much of the above is no longer relevant.

The trapped miners are in the cave. There are ad's there, as well.

If you're trying to decide between the pants or bracers, take the pants. You'll get Dark Iron Infiltrator's Bracer a few minutes later.

While you're working on this quest in the cave, if you want to work your way all the way to the back/end of the cave, there will most likely be a rare spawn, Hammerspine.

Am I the only one who found it odd that the dwarfs are afraid of the troggs here? Any other place where troggs are “invading” a dwarven area the NPC dwarves are “straining the leash” to get at the troggs and wipe them out. Or in all the times I’ve been here have I just been missing the super-giant trogg that is holding the ale kegs ransom and threatening to smash them if the dwarves don’t “behave”?

As of patch 7.1.5, if you are wondering whether to take the mail pants or the mail wrists, choose the pants. You will get a second pair of wrists at the next location.

Description

As a member of the Senate and the Explorers' League, I've taken it upon myself to investigate conditions at the quarry. The troggs have run wild!

They've made a mess of the Gol'Bolar quarry. As we dug deep into the earth, they poured out, destroying our equipment and trapping many of the miners below ground.

We have to get them out of there. I've had mages working overtime to enchant these runes of return. If you can get them to the trapped miners, they can return to the surface in safety.
