One more time bs-crafting quest:

Alard's Forge is in the wall
Alard's Anvil is near the forge and is easy to find
Alard's Woekbench is a table near the exit. Under 3 small shields on the wall
Alard's Whetstone is a big wheel-like stone to the right of the 2-nd exit, near the wall.
Alard's Quenching Trough is to the left of the 2-nd exit

This time you get 5xShopkeeper's Leystone Ore

Make 1 Leystone Shard near Alard's Forge
Make 1 Lump of Leystone Slag near Alard's Forge
Make 1 Hard Leystone Ingot near Alard's Quenching Trough
Make 24 Heated Hard Leystone Ingot near Alard's Forge
Make 1 Hard Leystone Nail near Alard's Anvil

If you make a stupid mistake and run out of Shopkeeper's Leystone Ore (like me!) abandoning the quest will reset your progress and allow you to start over crafting the needed items.

What level do you need to get this? Allard had a gray ! over his head at level 104, and still does at 105.

So, uh, playing as a tauren, I legitimately thought the quest reward was going to be learning how to make foot armour. Until I got the next quest, anyway.

I had to submit a ticket for this. I created the appropriate Hardened Bar but the next step was greyed out. I also had an additional Slag?

I struggled With this one. Even though i followed the quest amount, i always ended up having too little mats to Complete the quest, It came out right when i made the Nails first and the bars last.

FYI:
When you are almost finished and are looking at 3, not 4 Shopkeeper's Leystone Ore, don't do what I did and think you don't have enough to complete the quest and abandon. You do have enough :)
Also, I did have to run out and back in to get all the temp crafting patterns. There should be 7 total. Just run out to the Inn and back and you're golden.

I have been playing for eleven years and am still a newb at heart so I confess to having to abandon and accept the quest two times before I fully understood where I was going wrong.
Here is the way to avoid having to travel down the painful road I did.
MAKE THE NAILS FIRST.
Beyond that, no explanation is needed and all will be well.

you start with:
5 Shopkeeper's Leystone Ore
from this make in this order:
1 Slag
24 hard leystone ingots
24 Heated hard leystone ingots
24 hard leystone nails

4 slag
4 hard leystone bars

had to drop this q 2x because stuff just did not show up right but finally was all there... patterns, that is.

During Dragonflight pre-patch quests were bugged. You have learned required quest crafting spells, but as you opened your spell book the spells did not show up.
I found alternative trough /run scripts.
For this case, I've looked up Wowhead for specific spell IDs and with those I got the spells I needed. By running /run PickupSpell() I got the spell and was able to put it on my action bar.
Down is a list for all required crafts:

Leystone Slag/run PickupSpell(184308)
Hard Leystone Bar/run PickupSpell(184309)
Leystone Shards/run PickupSpell(184310)
Lumps of Leystone Slag/run PickupSpell(184312)

Description

You know, we aren't just limited to armorsmithing and weaponsmithing. I regularly make chisels for the scribes, crucibles for the alchemists, and even thimbles for the tailors.

They should sew in full plate gauntlets if they're really all that worried about their poor little thumbs.

Anyhow, I have a recipe I think an adventurer like you might be interested in. Let's try it out.
