If you are questing in a party, this completes individually so each person needs to click each catapult.

If you run into Serena at the gate before destroying the catapults then you can't complete the quest and have to restart. May be fixed in a future patch.

I had a problem completing this quest as well, but my issue was compounded with not being able to see all of the catapults after I dropped the quest and picked it back up, as well as reaching the top of the hill before finishing all 3 catapult destruction criteria.. I dropped the quest, closed WOW, went into the CACHE folder located at C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Cache and removed everything.

After this, I was able to see them again after picking up the quest. Hope this helps!

part of the problem is the cam doesn't stay where you put it, so it's hard to see the stuff off to the side. I had no I idea where the next one was to be - maybe on the other side? Sure the target area isn't there, but it's not unheard of that quest requirements are out of target areas. First cat is off to the left just a little up slop and is the one I missed, causing the restart. Pain in the ass.

If you're having issues with all or some of the catapults appearing, but not being interact-able, then I suggest this to help (I have only tried it once and cannot confirm 100% that it will work for you, but it did the trick for me): While on the quest I simply left the sub-zone area of "Gordal Foothills" by heading North West for a bit until I was back in a "Talador" sub-zone. Then I went back into the area with the catapults and this seemed to reset the incorrect phasing going on around them allowing me to click on the last two I was having issues with and complete the quest. Hope this helps you if you run into this issue too!

Possible new bug, not likely related to today's patch (6.2):

I picked up the quest from Magister Serena, and as I was destroying the first catapult, my dungeon queue popped. I quickly destroyed the other two and then accepted the dungeon queue.

After the dungeon, I wss teleported out, back to where I was next to the topmost catapult, and killed the couple of ogres standing there.

I headed to the top of the hill, and while Serena's portal to get past the "quaint wall" was there, she is nowhere to be found. I looked around for her, took the portal and looked around, but no dice.

So I dropped the quest and picked it back up, however now when I attempt to destroy the catapults, I do not receive credit for having done so. The animation shows (the purple orb surrounding the catapult, then the catapult finishing in size and disappearing), but immediately upon clicking the catapult to destroy it, another respawns.

This happened with all the catapults, so I tried doing the quest and picking it back up 3 or 4 times, tried resetting my UI, tried logging out and back in, and tried these things both with the quest active and without, all to no avail.

This will be level 100 number 7, so I'm not overly hung up on it, but the free follower and experience would be nice.

Anyone else have any ideas?

When your objective is to meet Serena at the gate just ignore the quest marker because it is not accurate. You need to stand in front of the glowing gate and then the quest will progress.

Description

Witch Lord Morkurk, the leader of the fortress, has catapults set up along the road into their compound.

That won't be a problem for us.

Take out the ogres around the catapults and mark them for me. This vortex spell I have prepared will handle the rest.

We'll meet at the gate to the fortress once the catapults are gone.
