Click the Altar once and don't move. Moving will interrupt the animation sequence and stop the quest from completing.

The Grimoire of Binding drops from Dur'gol the Ruthless at 42.7, 84.9.
The Ango'rosh Spellbook drops from Mok'war the Terrible at 39.5, 83.6.

Then perform the ritual by clicking the Altar of Ango'rosh, which is a staff in a pile of rocks located at 41.1, 82.5. As others have said, just click it once and don't move for the 40 seconds it takes to complete.

Anyone else feel the reference to the Lord of the Rings and the army of the dead? Seemed strikingly similar to me, and kind of cool on Blizzard's part, not sure if it is intentional or not.

I play a warlock, I had to dismiss my Voidlord for the ritual to work. And not move. Lol.

Accept the quest, Scheduled Pickup from Exarch Maladaar at coords 57.2, 77.0, in Light's Rest.

1. Scheduled Pickup - (Video) - Travel west to coords 55.0, 77.1, and then follow the paved path south to coords 52.3, 82.5.
• Travel down the stairs, and continue to follow the paved path southwest to 50.4, 87.5.
• Turn in this quest to Soulbinder Tuulani and accept Restalaan, Captain of the Guard.
• Accept Never Forget from Defender Artaal.
• Accept Payback from Vindicator Kaluud.

Payback - Travel up the nearby stairs and defeat 12 Telmor invaders, while completing quests in this area.
• Pick up Invasion of the Soul Eaters from a note located at coords 49.3, 88.1.

Invasion of the Soul Eaters - Click the Auchenai Torch located at 49.2, 87.9.
• Click on 4 Body Pile in Telmor to burn them.

Never Forget - Click on the Telmor Registry located at coords 49.2, 87.9.
• Travel to a building and enter at 48.8, 90.5, and click on the Auchenai Prayerbook, located in the back of the room.
• Exit the building and travel to another building to enter at coords 47.9, 89.6 and click on Leafshadow, located in the back of the room.
• Travel to 50, 87 to turn in the quests.

2. Restalaan, Captain of the Guard - (Video) - Travel back up the stairs to coords 48.4, 89.8.
• Turn right and continue up another set of stairs, and into a building located at coords 45.3, 90.4.
• Turn in the quest to Restalaan, at 44.9, 90.5, and accept The Final Piece.

3. The Final Piece - (Video) - Defeat Vorpil Ribcleaver at coords 44.6, 90.8.
• Click on Auch'naaru (crystal fragment at same location) to retrieve it.
• Turn in the quest to Restalaan, accepting Changing the Tide.

4. Changing the Tide - (Video) - Exit the building and travel northwest to coords 43.4, 76.0 and turn in the quest to Restalaan, accepting Desperate Measures.

5. Desperate Measures - (Video) - Travel south to coords 42.4, 84.8 and defeat Dur'gol the Ruthless, and loot the Grimoire of Binding from his corpse.
• Travel west to coords 39.4, 83.4 and defeat Mok'war the Terrible, and loot the Ango'rosh Spellbook from his corpse.
• Travel east to coords 41.1, 82.4 and click on Altar of Ango'rosh to perform the ritual.
• After the ritual is complete, travel northeast to coords 43.4, 76.0 and turn in the quest to Restalaan.

You will get a buff called Might of Ango'rosh. It will randomly summon ogres that fights for you. Beware... they will attack every mob they see. So be careful.

This quest is another heap of crap that you have to work around instead of bliz fixing ...... what a waste of time ....

BEWARE: Completing this quest will leave your character forever with the annoying nuisance debuff Might of Ango'rosh in a significant portion of the zone. This will summon adds on every attack that aggressively pull everything within about 30 yards of you and then despawn.

Blizzard seriously needs to add an option to disable this #%$&! nuisance.

I can confirm as of 8/19/16 that I had to dismiss my pet as a hunter for the ritual to complete

I made sure I was not mounted. Dismissed pet. It also took several tries, about 10, might be less because I walked away. He'll say, "I am free" a couple times, then add "thank you for your help little one". He then will say more and give debuff.

Just in case, I been trying to 10 mins to complete this quest the guy appear and disappear only to say I'm Free and then be gone with out completing the quest. On my last try I decided to kneel before touching the orb, and it work. The guy materialize do a whole (really short) dialog and cast something on you "COMPLETE"

As mentioned in previous comments, you must /KNEEL before you complete the ritual for it to complete.

Did this quest today, did NOT have to kneel, did NOT have to dismiss my hunter pet, clicked on the "altar" and the guy did his thing.

Just did it. I had my water pet thing on my mage and i didn't kneel. I had to click like 6 times and then it worked.

Desperate Measures

Gather the Ango'rosh Spellbook and the Grimoire of Binding, then perform the ritual at the Altar of Ango'rosh in the Ango'rosh Ruins.

Description

We've identified the location of Teron'gor's compound, but his forces are already far stronger than anything we've ever faced. We need to gain an edge, and quickly.

The cursed spirits of the Ango'rosh ogres, our ancient enemies, linger in nearby ruins. Go there and gather the Ango'rosh Spellbook and the Grimoire of Binding.

Perform the ritual described within at their altar to lift their curse and seek their aid.

It's a long shot, but we don't have any other options.
