As of 08/11/12 the Zangarmarsh area pet tamer "Ras'an" does not show up as a quest node on your map. He is located on the eastern shore of Sporewind lake by Sporeggar.

Here is my Quicklist Guide to the Outlands Section of the Pet Trainer Quests. This is a quick reference to see what type of pets you will need to defeat the trainers easily. On Trainers who have the same type of pet for all 3 pets in their party, I would recommend you bring at least two pets that are the opposite type (i.e. bring three appropriate leveled Mechanical types to fight three trainer Beasts). Don't rely on fighting all three of their pets with just one of yours, despite the fact that they will have stronger attacks and defeat them quicker.

Outlands Trainer Quest Line

To defeat these trainers with maximum efficiency, you will need pets of the following type:
Elemental, Dragonkin, Undead, Magic, Beast, Flying, Mechanical

When You are about to turn in Returning champion, make sure You first take the Outland quest and only then hand in the Champion quest, because it`s buggy and once you hand in champs quest, Outland Quest is not available. Let`s hope that this bug will be fixed soon.

How am I supposed to beat these trainers? Their pets is always around 3 levels higher than pets in the nearby zone. For efficient grinding I feel I have to grind on pets that are in another zone, meaning that to beat the trainer in Shatt I need to go to northrend.

I need some advice here, what level are your pets compared to the trainer's pets (both for this, and in general)? I found that I can usually beat a trainer with all pets 1 level below the trainer, or worst case, with 1 pet the same level. Am I just bad then?

Here are the coords for TomTom for Battle Pet Tamers: Outland (and the grandmaster for the followup). Just put them into a macro, copy each line individually, or use the addon Paste to paste them all in at the same time.

For Taming Outland, complete Battle Pet Tamers: Outland Battle Pet Tamers: Outland by defeating the first four tamers which then grants access to the final fifth tamer, Grand Master Antari:

Just now have this problem: failed against Narrok, won't offer me a fight; failed against Morulu the elder, won't offer a fight; beat both other Outland pet masters in quest and it won't let me abandon and restart the quest. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I plan to try to continue quest on another toon tomorrow.

Edit: Tried again today on another toon, Morulu was fightable, fought him and won. Assuming Narrok will also be available.

As each of the Alliance and Horde 'Battle Pet Tamers:' quests have a unique quest ID, you are able to carry an Alliance and Horde one at the same time.

They will show as (Account) in your quest log and can be completed by any character.

When you fight each respective Battle Pet Tamer, it will mark off for both Alliance and Horde quest lines and once completed, you will be rewarded with not one but two Sack of Pet Supplies.

It is irrelevant which character you complete this on as both quests will auto-complete in the field. However, the character which accepts the auto-complete will receive the satchels, regardless of which character picked up the quest (this is important if you like your pet goodies on one particular character).

It does not give you a double shot at the Grand Master Quests (example Grand Master Antari)

This is a great way of doubling your chances at pet and battle stone drops.

So here's what I've experienced as of 5.4 (2/1/2014).

I did one battle on a character simply because he happened to be in the zone. I have a "main" character who typically does my achievements and pet battles. Even though this quest/achievement is "Account Wide" in the quest book, I was unable to battle ANY of the masters in outland. Swapping to the alt character who happened to do one of the battles, I was able to complete them all.

Please can anybody help me here. Ras'an and Narrok will not offer me a fight even if i pitch my pets lower than them!
Anybody know what I can do here?

If you do not have the option to battle these tamers, check your log to see if you're carrying both Horde and Alliance quests, or if you have alts that you may have started the quest on before.

I tried to do this quest today on my Horde character and I spent an hour following various suggestions from multiple forums, none of them worked. Eventually I figured it out. The quest was started on my Alliance toon, and had to be completed on the same. Even though they are different quest IDs, they do interfere with each other.

So, if you're having this problem, check any toons you have on the opposing faction (or even alts on the same faction, it seems you have to finish the quest on *one* character to advance). Don't accept the next stage (Northrend trainers) when you're done. Instead, hop back on the toon you want to do the quests on and continue on like nothing ever happened. ;)

I lost this quest from my log at some point and cannot get it again. Varzok is not offering the quest and I am soft locked in the pet battle tamer questline :(

Hi Folks!

If, like me, you are returning to WoW in Shadowlands and confused why you can't get this quest.

I did the initial chain fine on my main. When it got to this point, Audrey stopped giving me quests.

Turns out you need to be timewalking to outlands to get this next stage... I assume it works the same for each expansion.

You've bested the master tamers of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, but your next challenge will be far more trying.

There are four tamers in Outland that you must now defeat: Nicki Tinytech in Hellfire Peninsula, Ras'an in Zangarmarsh, Narrok in Nagrand, and Morulu the Elder in Shattrath.
