IF you somehow managed to miss the parachutes and plummeted to your death (thus killing not only yourself but the ability to complete this quest for the moment) - don't fret/freak.

Return to SW and take the panda-portal to Paw'Don, once in that town an NPC should tell you to take the other portal (practically in front of you) back to the skyship. (Thanks to Clarke from Arygos for pointing this out.)

I made a mage on the PTR so that I could play this questline but I can't find the parachutes? I've looked all over the ship and there are no floating gears, no piles of parachutes....nothing.

A word of advice: If you are a fresh level 85 entering Mists of Pandaria, use the advantage to ride all the way north to Dawn's Blossom to get yourself a full set of level 372 gear - including trinkets - from Singegruff.

This will make the earlier parts of Jade Forest more tolerable, even if you do have to ride all the way back south to continue questing.

This quest is broken. As of right now the "parachutes" never appear therefore making it impossible to complete and also continue questing in the area

As of patch 5.1, the parachutes no longer spawn in as they should at the edges of the ship. Currently waiting on a ticket response to finish the quest on my monk alt.

EDIT: on 11/28, they restarted my server in the afternoon and I managed to get on right after it came up, and guess what, there were a couple parachutes on the side of the airship! Might have been a hotfix, or might have been the restart, who knows.

Assuming your like me, just bought MoP to find the third quest in broken and unable to continue, don't worry. You're obviously screwed for half of the quests in the zone but not the whole expansion. Jump off of the ship, into the water and head for the Tian Monastery near the top of the zone (43,25). Plenty of quests to keep you occupied there. I also found a few quests near 43,75.

I solved the problem. I didn't see the parachute, so I jumped. Abandoned the quest. Went to Paw'don Village and used the portal back to the gunship. Accepted the quest again, and the parachutes were available. This worked for two of my characters.
When I get back to the village, I don't see the portal to the ship anymore, only to Stormwind.

For some reason, I can't turn this in. Sully keeps wandering back and forth killing Sha beasts, and I can't talk to him. Anyone else have this problem?

I boosted to 90 and this was the first Pandaria quest I could get (The King's Command was not available), but once I touched ground, I could not interact with Sully "The Pickle" McLeary, who was just pacing in a mech.

Ultimately, I ran into him at Twinspire Keep doing Paw'don Village quests and was able to turn it in then. Just an FYI: This is the only Pandaria intro quest I could find, prior to Paw'don village as a boosted 90.

OK for those of you having issues finding your pickle... ;p

I'm on a new 1-90 boosted toon and i could not find him.
he wasn't showing up where the ? mark was on my map.

He's at 41.41, 79.66 sitting just outside the entrance of this shrine (up top) past where all the Horde and enslaved demons are.

(on your Map, it's just to the right of the letter 'P' in Paw'don Village.

Looks like this is one achievement I won't be getting. For me, there is absolutely no boat. Nothing. I have searched and searched for an hour and there is nothing but air -_-

If you can't see the ship, you need to talk to Taradormi in Ksarang Wilds - Lion's Landing and click the option; "I want to see the Skyfire in Jade Forest. Take me back". This way you can see Skyfire in Jade Forest again and complete your quests.
