The area on game map doesn't match with the area where the item can be found. You can find the item on trees on the whole area of the quest Crime and Punishment

The amber is just on the big trees not bushes. There are not loads of big trees and it takes time to collect the amber!

To find the npc Kor'ik that you have to talk to to complete the quest you go to the Amberglow hollow. It is south of where the map says it will be and underneath it like in a cave almost. I had a little trouble finding him so hope this will help.

Careful, if you look closely, the Ringtail Bandits jump up after you've looted the amber and steal a bit, they even get the buff "Stealin' Some Honey! - Very Sneaky!". It's hard to be angry at anything that's so cute =3

For the quest: Better With Age:

The item you want is Amber-Filled Jar.
You get them from Amber Collector, which are on trees. These are not targetable.
However, on every tree with an Amber Collector, there is also a Ringtail Bandit.
When you click on the Amber Collector and get the Amber-Filled Jar, the Ringtail Bandit despawns.

So, if you're on a high pop realm, or it's just a busy day in Dread Wastes, you can fly around and target the Ringtail Bandits

If you complete the 'Traitor' quest before you complete this quest, you cannot turn it in. You will need to drop the quest and take its replacement quest: Better With Age

I just did this and went all over the place. Could only find two jars, one on each side of the opening of the cave tucked into the trunk of the tree. There were no bandits or anything associated with looting them.

So you're doing this in mop remix and wondering why tf doesn't the turn in NPC let you complete the quests. Apparently you can't do both "Better With Age" and Crime and Punishment at the same time. You have to first do Crime and Punishment. Turn it in. THEN pickup and do "Better with age". Can't do both quests at once.

Gather 7 Amber-Filled Jars from the Amber Collectors on the Stinging Trail.

Description

It is a crime to harvest the young trees, but a much bigger crime to waste the amber.

Young amber is not as strong, but the Klaxxi need it to continue the fight. We will bring them more and they will sing my praises!

Gather the young amber. We will store it until it is aged and can be consumed.
