Yes, Shado-pan questline have such weird prequests :D
Awakened quests have 3 version of quests each starting from NPC that gave you previous quests.
Ordo Warbringer have quest that starts via pop-up after Channelers and backup from Taylor/Nazgrim if you abandon first.

I only found one location with a bomb barrel. It was in a cart near the center oil rig.

I feel kind of stupid, but I don't know how to put the barrel down. It's on my back. How do I get rid of it, and like someone above said, I can only find the one barrel.

Coordinates for the oil rigs are:
Southern Oil Rig 49.69, 80.96
Western Oil Rig 47.86, 81.41

Just did this quest on my 88 Shaman... all I have to say is go slooow. The mobs are tightly packed together, and there are few walking around. Before I knew it I had 4 guys on me. Not fun. Died a couple times, but once I slowed it down I was fine!

Quest is bugged. You have to logout/login after every bomb, or else you don't get credit for it. Terrible.

1st one works fine.
2nd one: you see "BOMB!" but no credit
logout, login again, repeat 2nd, now it works.
3rd one: "BOMB!" but again no credit
logout, login again, repeat 3rd, now it works.

Quest still bugged as of April 2022.

If you don't get credit for the explosion and can't loot another barrel, just fly away from the area and come back. You should be able to loot another barrel again.

Doing this in Remix and couldn't light any of the rigs - tried every suggestion on this page to no avail.

Disabling all of my Addons worked like a charm!
After going back to the default interface, the clickable icon showed up in my quest log -
(docked at the right side of my screen) - and I was able to blow up each oil rig without issue.

If nothing else is working, try disabling all of your addons (including the updated ones!) - the clickable icon did not shop up until I was in the default interface.

Those Ordo yaungol to the northwest have saved us the trouble o' havin' to make some bombs. They already have them there.

Let's put their explosive barrels to good use and destroy their oil-pumpin' machines, shall we?
