Muskpaw Jr. can be found in the back of the Pranksters' Hollow cave where you also complete Fresh Needle Scent.

this was bugged for me - got to the back of the cave in the small depressed area where the ? was showing up he was not visible - as a Rogue - I unstealthed and killed the sprites that were also showing as occupying the area where the ? was listed - all of a sudden Muskpaw Jr. showed up - I was able to turn in the quest and then mount and take Tuffi out of the cave without aggro'ing the other sprites.

Muskpaw Jr is down in the pit with the two yaks at the end of the cave. He's covered in Needle Sprites so you'll need to kill them to get the "?"

The map will confuse you a bit cause it seems it points to Inkgill Mere as to where to go to complete this quest. You have to be in The Autumn Plains where the Needle Sprites and the yaks are. If you leave inkgill mere entrance to cave is to your right.

So you've found the cave and it's a little confusing cuz, when you get to where the yellow ? is you'll see nothing but little sprite dudes running around where he should be. It's him! He's just covered over with the lil guys. So, just kill them and he shows up. But don't dawdle any too long cuz more lil guys'll come runnin and drama is renewed for a couple seconds. Then it's get out of the cave n go back to the ranch via the last muskpaw next to him. So hit the green arrow for a ride on it and it'll take you back to the ranch to get 5 more of those free ride muskpaws. Peace!

If you killed all the sprites you see and you still don't see the ?, there is a sprite on his head. Target him and kill the sprite then ? will appear.

Only classes that make sense he's not aware of them are Death Knight's, Demon Hunters, Paladins, and Warlocks. I know I shouldn't expect much from Blizzard's effort in terms of details but they could've provided this npc two variants of dialogue.

Description

What the heck are you supposed to be? |5<class>? Never heard of one of them. You here to help or to steal my yaks?

Look, if yer' insistin' on helpin' out, go find my boy. He got himself grabbed by a bunch of sprites and probably doesn't even know we lost the ranch.

They dragged him off to Pranksters' Hollow south east of here. Go rescue him an' I'll see about giving you a reward of some sort.
