Don't get confused guys: Obsidion and Lathoric are inside the quarry, underground.

Obsidion was laying down and wouldn't let me aggro to complete quest. You have to touch stone and wait for the other boss to call him up otherwise you just kill the one boss and can't kill Obsidion.

Just go straight ahead and take the door to your left ( if your lucky , there is a rare mob guarding it).
just go straight to the back of the corridor and there is an open space with a stone in the middle, just touch it and be prepared to kill both mobs at once...

This is one of the most frustrating quests I've encountered in the game, together with Slavery is Bad, which comes before it. If you get killed, you have to make your way back to the flight master and fly in again. If you leave a good distance between the hostile mobs, they still get together to attack you. If you use AofE spells, you stand a good chance of being mobbed by nearby slave NPCs. My L50 mage keeps getting squashed like a newbie!
I haven't even been able to fight the 2 NPCs in Rise, Obsidian, but I'm not looking forward to it!

I can't find the person to complete the quest I have killed Obsidian and Lathoric but I can't get to the person I need to to complete the quest. I need help

As a level 50 warrior, I found this quest easier to complete than some others. However, I am having the same difficulty of NOT FINDING Evonice Sootsmoker. Carbonite shows her to the east of Thorium Point but I cannot find a way to get there. Anyone have any ideas or do I need to wait until I get the flying skill and come back to finish the series?
Anyone?

This quest was REAL bugger. Died 3 times but finally got it as a Lvl 50 Lock. Anyway, Evonice Smootsmoker is up a ramp to the right (with the altar on your left) in the same room where Obsidion and Lathoric are. Coords are: 43.8, 28.5.

After picking up the quests, take the first door to the left. After taking care of the slavers, taskmasters and freeing the slaves, continue inward. A large stone will be there that you need to touch. You should be able to see Obsidion on the floor. After destroying these two, take the ramp up on the opposite side of the room. There you will find Evonice Sootsmoker for your quest turn-ins.

This quest is doable if hostile with booty bay. Use the alter, when Lathoric the Black spawns do not attack right away. Let him walk to the alter wait a few seconds and he will then spawn Obsidion. Kill them both and you are done. The turn in for quest is behind you up the ramp.

Yep, you have to stay in (or return to) the Searing Gorge to complete this. Sootsmoker is indeed on the ramp, at coordinates 43.7, 28.6

Use the Altar of Suntara, then slay Lathoric the Black and Obsidion.

	Lathoric the Black slain (1)

Description

Overseer Maltorius is in charge here, but he's not the only dwarf of power within the Slag Pit. Lathoric the Black and his horrifying golem, Obsidion, loom just down this corridor.

Interfering with Lathoric's altar should summon both of them. Find it, then summon Lathoric and kill him. Report to Evonice Sootsmoker when you're finished.
