This quest seems to not be available at level 35 atm, the NPC giving out the quest shows with a grey exclamation mark over his head.

So far, I appear to be the only person to be delighted to speak to Captain Vimes...has no-one read any Terry Pratchett at all? I mean, to be playing this, you must have read some books, right?

Its really strange but true that if you have the quest "Inspecting the Ruins," this quest will not show up as an exclamation on your map. All you have to do is abandon that quest, and pick up this quest from the guy standing next to "Smiling Jim." After you turn in that quest in town, "Inspecting the Ruins" will be the next quest given to you. I'm sorry, I don't know how to link the quests here yet. Good luck. =)

At the first bridge in to Theramore, speak with Zidormi! Ths will bring back old Theramore, before th sacking.

As of this writing I cannot pick up the quest.

I completed all quests in the area at approx lvl 40 and went back several levels later (110) because the quest tracker tool said I hadn't completed this quest. Guard Byron does not have the quest available for me.

This is the character I most want to meet in Shadowlands. I hope he's happy there with this family...

This quest has most likely been removed from the game when Shadowlands was released. I only found out about it when looking up 'Inspecting The Ruins' to find out why that quest isn't marked on the map anywhere and even after abandoning the quest, this one does not show up. Both Jim and Byron only give you some flavor text when clicked on. I tried leave and returning to Theramore on the boat and that changed nothing.

Description

I can't help it if I feel sorry for ol' Jim there. He wasn't always like that. Ran an inn out in the marsh for a while, wonderful place.

Look, I don't really want to talk about it. Bring it up with Captain Vimes if you really have to. He's stationed on the top floor of Foothold Citadel, the large barracks to the east of Lady Jaina's tower.
