The 5 Forsaken Troopers are following me everywhere I go now. I do not know how to get rid of them. I hearthed to UC, there they were. I flew to Silverpine to start questing there, hopped off my flight, there they were.

At least I can't complain I am lonely. I hope they don't expect me to feed them or anything.

Edit: It seems after a certain period of time, they dissappear all on their own! Whew!

I bugged this quest by trying to be smart.

I got my troops and tried to circle around to attack from the rear liek they did us. I slipped off the hill and fell out of the zone everything phased away. When I came back into the zone my troops were gone, though the Vy respawned. When I reanimated troops it counted me as having five and refused to motivate them.

Abandoning the quest changed nothing. I had to abandon the quest, fly away to the bulwark and then fly back to Andorhal, get the quest and boom it would motivate again. Very buggy for it to remember things after its abandoned, probably a phasing tech glitch.

I have the Valkyr following me everywhere now and seeming to not go away. Kind of irritating as the Valkyr was all up in my grill during the cut-scene. I couldn't see anything!

After the Force-Commander mobs (packs of around 3-4), it helps to heal or bandage your troops & val'kyr. Some of my troops had only about 50hp left, and since they are treated as Horde NPCs and not companions, you are able to heal them.

I've done up through the meeting between Koltira and Thassarian. Sylvannas is no where to be found. I'm not sure what I screwed up but I could use some help.

There should really be a /heil emote ingame because it deserved to be bestowed upon The Dark Lady here. I literally squee'd when she appeared. You do not cross LSW and get away with it ;)

For what it's worth the Frightened Provincial Minuteman don't drop anything, but they do award xp. Add to that this quest gives you 6 helpers who run around and assist you by beating up targets, and you can farm up some decent xp/hour grinding here. I did a few test runs on a 6 minute increment then of course x10 for the hourly rate with my 42 Shadow Priest. The spawn rate was very consistent and quick, and I averaged just shy of 82,000 xp an hour (81,810 to be exact). From 40-43 that's about a level an hour, but the xp gain is prob decent to 45, or 46 since the mobs don't go grey until 47+. Not exciting perhaps, but when you consider that some people like grinding, and that all you have to do is apply 1 attack, or in the case of a caster a single dot, and your minions will beat up everything while you rake in full xp. It's worth considering.

The bug seems fixed now. If you lose your troopers or die, you can now just go kill more minute-men and motivate them with the Valkyr.

I also had no trouble skipping all the mobs in the center of Andohal by going around the Sorrow Hill side. Never lost my troops, nor the Valkyr. :)

I found the farmers to be rather useless. The best way to go about this mission is to head to the square and just carve your way down the left side (didn't do the right, but left was nice and easy). Once you get to the end you will see the mob on the ground dead. Run back and watch a rather evil scene by the Banshe Queen

Do NOT Die... Very bad idea. My troops died, my pet died, my Val'kyr died and I tried to run... but I died. Had to res, but troops were gone and was stuck in the middle of the defenders. Ended up taking res sickness and hearthing to Andorhal.

I tired over and over again to kill the npc's to complete the quest, but I kept dying.
I found it easiest to kill off a few npc's to make my way around the rest of them. It's a lot easier. (I went to the left side killed off a few of the front men/women and went through some broken down buildings, and made my way around the rest of the npc's to the other side to complete the quest. Never died doing it that way.)

After getting your 5 Forsaken, work your way down the left side. Kill one target at a time until you get to the corpse of Thessarian. I tried the right and the center but died.

This quest seems to be bugged again. There is no way to complete the 'Forsaken Trooper Mobilized" portion of the quest. When you kill a Frightened Provincial Minuteman and your val'kyr converts him, he just despawns. The "call to arms" ability does not seem to be showing up. Unless I'm doing something wrong (and I've tried a lot of things) the quest is not able to be completed at this time.

If you're a class at all capable of AoE farming, don't finish this quest.

While it's active, the central plaza in Andorhal is the front line between the Forsaken and the Alliance. The Alliance NPCs spawn rapidly in groups, give full exp, and since they're humanoid drop oodles of cloth and money. Add to that the fact that it's such a specific phasing there's virtually no competition, a prot paladin can churn out a level every half hour or so.

Just did this quest on my 42 Monk...completed it with no fighting. First time I did the quest I died a few times assuming I would just run through the Alliance area. Doesn't work.

Some comments tell you that you have to fight Alliance forces but you don't.

After reading the comments I assumed there was a glitch so I abandoned the quest and retook it. I followed the advice of staying to the left. If you do this you will come to the river...Follow the river, pass the empty "town" homes and such til you come to the tower. If you look on your map the quest adjective should be right in front of that. You will see 3 Alliance guards...If you go behind the tower and walk the ledge around the tower or go behind it you won't encounter any guards...

Easy quest...no fighting of Alliance guards

Really, just stay on the South side in Andorhal, and you should be just fine. You'll have to kill a couple of mobs, but just one at a time. The center of Town is just a pointless suicide mission, so avoid it if you want to finish the quest and move on. BTW, did it as lvl 38 pally, no sweat it you do it right.

Moving down the hills on the left is still the best way to get there. Approach the tower from the rear, run along the ridge on the edge of the tower and you won't have to fight a single mob the whole quest once you have your five Forsaken. Once you complete the quest, all the baddies disappear.

As a warlock, I don't get the pet bar to command the troops, even after dismissong my demon, abandoning the quest and clearing the cache folder.

I understand Blizzard being a small, low budget indie company they don't have enough resources to fix old content, but i hope some day the will fix this and all other old quest, scripted event.

Level 41 Troll Druid, able to accept quest, but no Valkyrie ever spawns. Anyone else having trouble with the quest?

Tried this quest on my hunter, i have no empowered val'kyr. I have tried abandoning and retaking the quest, i have no addons, i have left the area and came back, i have relogged. I am a hunter but have dismissed my pet. Is there a way to get the valkyr back so I can finish this quest? I have made a ticket with blizzard they said to come here for help.

So I did this quest on an alt after having doing quests in western plaguelands a 100 times over and never noticed any bugs. However today I took this quest and an INSANE amount of val'kyr spawned, like a stupid amount. They just kept spawning continuously and I couldn't do anything to stop it. I tried relogging, abandoning the quest (this just made it worse), etc. The only thing I could do was finish the quest quickly and turn it in, however they stuck around even after I finished the quest, but after relogging again, they finally disappeared. I was panicing incase blizz thought I was cheating or something, but I've never seen anything like it. The worst part is they aggro'd onto EVERYTHING within render distance and just kept spawning....

I will be making a bug report as this is something I feel may end up being abused... I was in warmode as well so if any alliance was around they would of been slaughtered none stop, thankfully the server I am on is extremely quiet.

I'm not sure if this has happened since blizz fixed a bug for a quest earlier in the quest line, but I have never seen anything like it before. Just thought I'd add this here to warn people. This was on the horde side as well.

Ace in the Hole

With the Enthralled Val'kyr by your side, kill 5 Frightened Provincial Minutemen so that they can be turned into Forsaken Troopers. Then find Thassarian in western Andorhal.

Description

You have no idea how difficult it was to stay disguised while I watched Koltira let this war slip away from us. Even now, those infernal farmers threaten to overwhelm us. All because he refused to slay a friend.

Take my val'kyr again, <name>. With her by your side, kill these farmers, convert them to Forsaken, and mobilize them. Then take a group of them into Alliance-held western Andorhal and hunt down this death knight, Thassarian.

We will win this war yet.
