You kind of see this coming when doing the previous quest (), you get a cut scene where you discover things about the Brotherhood you did not know of back in Vanilla.

I won't spoil much but since you are reading this for help I'll throw in a bone and say ~~that VanCleefs daughter is the one leading the new Brotherhood, together with Admiral Ripsnar (a Worgen).~~

I first accepted this quest while mounted, which caused an error and although I transitioned into the phase with all the npcs, the script froze. Next I dismounted and tried again and it played almost all the way through but froze before the very last step. Finally I tried a third time and it worked. So if you're having trouble, keep trying!

Yea, sentinel hill burns after this, but Thor, our friendly fightmaster just stands there in the flames waiting nonchalantly for you to get on a gryphon (slowly now!) to......I dunno, you could go ironforge if you felt like it.

Don't want to spoil either (though I guessed it after the cool scene on the earlier mission) but as I was doing it on my main I felt really bad for her (my toon's) earlier actions, especially as the Defias were screwed over in the first place (for those who never followed the lore, they rebuilt Stormwind and then got screwed on the payment)

I accepted the quest, the marshal said "I don't like this, **********. Stay alert!" then everyone disappeared! I saw fires on the Sentinel Tower a little while later and I know it is scripted but there were no people talking there, WHAT CAN I DO TO GET ON WITH THE QUEST!

Ok, this quest is bugged as hell. And that's the cause of the phasing system. I had to try whopping 4 times before I could finally finish this. First time around, net disconnected on me, thought nothing would be to it, relog simply and finish it. Nope, every character was in the final phasing position, so I missed the dialogue and had to retry. Second try, no one unspawned, every frikin' npc had a clone( though it was funny to see that 2 Ripsnarls replied to <insert hidden spoiler name here>'s line) and after they started walking and before the last( completing) line was spoken, everyone despawned. I was annoyed quite a bit. Third time the same, and finally the 4th time it worked out.
The lesson: keep on trying and don't be hasty, after a few abandons it should work.

Here is what I did.

I went to the required location, and I abandoned the quest, and then - suddenly the NPCs showed up, and I took the quest again, and I proceeded.

That's everything.

If you decide to not to "GO! NOW!" and walk... (And I mean really walk, not run, and stick to paths only,) it will take you 25 minutes and 10 seconds to deliver the news to Wrynn. About.

For some strange reason, all of the quest rewards are "House Wrynn (Weapon)". I'm wondering if it's a reference to anything because "House Wrynn" sounds odd and is very similar to "house wren", which is a type of bird.

This is THE quest to ding your Loremaster achievement. It's perfectly positioned in quest hubs (easy to get it as your 35th Westfall quest) and you will get your Loremaster from King Wrynn himself. In SWC, where plenty of people will see it.

as of MOP this quest is broken for me. The phase doesn't properly exit and you're stuck with everyone standing around, eventually disappearing.

If you get stuck with this, you have to abandon the quest to get it back to normal. I've tried it 3 times now with no success.

Quest can get stuck sometimes, ask a Game Master to despawn the Marshal in your phasing, abandon the quest afterwards and restart it. It will work again.

If the Marshal despawns when phasing this quest is bugged, you don't need a GM to fix it though.

Just abandon the quest and retake it, until the marshal doesn't despawn, It took me 7 tries and seems fairly random, but it'll work eventually.

Make sure nobody else around you is on the same part of this quest as you before doing the turn-in. If they turn theirs in while your dialogue is in session it will reset the dialogue and all of the NPCs will despawn.

If you're trying to do this on a boosted alt and you previously skipped the Broken Shore intro quest, you may notice that Anduin is missing from the throne when you go to turn this in. To fix this, you should go to Dalaran and talk to Archivist Elysiana who will have a dialogue option for you to begin To Be Prepared. You'll have to follow that chain all the way through until you complete Illidari Allies. After this, return to Stormwind Keep and Anduin will be there. Good luck!

If you can't see Anduin in the Throne room. You might be phased for stormwind for 5 or more other questlines. If you started any questline that is phasing Stormwind, you need to complete it first, to bring you back into the correct phasing.

If you're unable to complete this quest at level 100 or higher, make sure you've done the entirety of the quest chain that started with, Legion: The Legion Returns. If you don't end the quest chain with, "In The Blink of an Eye", Anduin will still be phased.

As of 8.0 they have actually changed the ending of this quest. You no longer report to King Anduin Wrynn but Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth instead.

Add-ons can interfere with completion of this quest. I disabled them, but that wasn't enough. I had to totally reset the UI and then it completed.

Kind of weird that with all of those items rewards not a single one is for Warrior/Paladin tanks. They could have easily get a shield or at least make the one handed hammer change to strength based of the spec like many others. 2 Handed sword won't do me any good when I sell it to the vendor a minute later...

I'm currently haven't trouble with this quest right now. I'm being told to "Report to Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth at SW Keep in SW" and when I arrive at the keep and head towards the quest marker, I'm brought to an empty room. Idk for sure, but I believe the NPCs might be set up in one of the other rooms for another quest that I haven't started. Does anyone have an idea how to deal with this?

I had issues with this quest while doing Chromie Time with my priest who is level 48. Exiting Chromie Time does not phase you back in to see her. Since I haven't started the entry quests for BFA that sends you to Boralus, I went ahead and completed Battle for Azeroth: Tides of War and The Nation of Kul Tiras and then headed back to Stormwind Keep and Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth finally showed up for me and I was able to turn in my quest. You don't have to do any quests once you enter Boralus. Just go back to Stormwind however you can.

At this point, Id really like Blizz to remove Chromie time. It's caused more trouble than its worth on too mnay different levels. If they can nerf the game so more 12 year olds can play - then they can get rid of Chromie time.

If you're trying to complete this quest doing chromie time and everyone disappears, the only solution I found as of now (patch 10.0) is, going back to chromie to go back to the present, (without taking the quest) go back to the Marshal (make sure you're tracking low level quests), after that you will see some dialogue and be asked to go back to Stormwind, go to chromie again, activiate chromie time and then complete the quest.

as of today, this seem impossible to turn in. no matter what I do, with chromie time or without it, the SW is phased in BFA Intro. I've abandoned and get it back like 3 times with no luck. gg blizz

If it bugs, drop the quest and do it again and the next part will take you to Stormwind.

The throne room was empty. After dropping the quest I went to the side room where the king and Jaina Proudmore offered the quest The Nation of Kul Tiras. I accepted the quest, once I got to Kul Tiras I hopped aboard the next ship back to Stormwind. I went to the throne room and there was Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth. I headed back to Sentinel Hill, re-acquired the quest then returned to the throne room to turn it in. Not sure if it matters but I was Level 15 at the time.

Major Phase Issues:

There is a current issue doing this on Characters that were created after 11.0.0 and started on Exile's Reach and went past the ability to scale with chromie time it seems. There might be a lot more to this but the summery follows.

When you make a new character and finish Exile's Reach you then go to Stormwind and there is the introduction to Stormwind Quests. Once you have finished you would normally get , but this has changed now because instead of BFA you go to Dragon Flight and a Different quest comes up.

Because of this the game script has locked you into this phase where normally you have and you would talk to Captain Garrick in Stormwind Throne Room. Sadly this Phase is what is locked and there no way to unlock it at this time.

If you can still do chromie time there might be a way to fix it, but I'm sadly past that now.

I seem to have found a solution. The problem appears to be, as many others have noted, a problem with being phased to other quest lines you haven't completed or even started yet. My friends and I were playing alts and had the same problem.

My solution: I had the idea to use my main toon to phase us since he has completed most of the quests in the game and does not have the problem being phased to where Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth disappears. On my main I invited my friends who then selected party sync, the NPC appeared and they could turn the quest in.

Make sure the character doing the invites has: a) Completed the quests listed elsewhere in the comments. b) Has reached at least the same phase on the Westfall quest, (it is not required that they have completed it, although this is okay too).

The character(s) that need to phase to complete the quest must have the quest BEFORE using party sync because in all likelihood the character you're syncing to has completed the quest and therefore it won't be available after syncing. This still allows you to see the NPC you need and turn it in as long as you already have the quest.
