You may also note that your Death Charger now morphs in a Swift Brown Steed while in Scarlet Messenger form.
Edit: Ok, cannot keep myself: You have 3 tries to guess who told Blizz on beta that a Scarlet Messenger, wearing a runeblade, having funny blue eyes and riding a big bad dead horse is preety suspect, lorewise, even for the dumb NPCs Blizz creates. And you have another 3 tries to guess who suggested them to change the Deathcharger to a lovely (living :\) horse :P

Nice getting to Abbendis appearing in a quest. Generally you would all see her in Old Hillsbrad if you went to the tavern for the event. She was one of Fordrings underlings also she was a rare spawn in Tyrs hand present day EPL :/

Ride southeast from where you fought the courier and look for a small path winding down to the dock. It looks just like the path you took the mine cart down earlier in the DK quest chain.

If you run out of the general area, towards Tyr's Hand, the disguise dissapears. The buff will return to you once you re-enter the area. Feel free to explore the areas inside New Avalon without fear of reprisal.

So you just killed the courier, you see that in the overlook there's a path? It's brown coloured on the ground, follow that line.

Did a count of all the things I noticed that the Scarlet NPCs missed:
Your eyes glow blue.
Your horse's eyes glow purple.
Your sword; I have yet to see any Scarlet Crusade/Onslaught NPCs with a Rune weapon of any sort.
Your Ghoul, which follows you around without attacking you.

Seriously? They're a threat to the Scourge? They wouldn't notice Arthas if his only disguise was a shirt saying "I'm not the Lich King".

Interesting glitch with this mission, if you ride out to Tyr's Hand, your character changes back into a DK, yet your mount stays a Swift Brown Steed. Very cool for horde characters, who otherwise wouldn't see what they would look like on an alliance mount.

Edit- after more screwing around, it seems like it works the other way around as well, simply mount up in Havenshire, then move into New Avalon, and now you are a courier with creepy blue eyes and a sickly mount.

Worgen death knights beware - Runnign Wild is unusable while disguised as the courier. I guess a courier running on all fours is a bit of a giveaway, eh? ;)

Just did the quest as an orc death knight. Evidently, your horse no longer transforms with you.

If you logged off/disconnected after getting the quest, you will not be able to trigger the event at King's Habour, only way to do it is to abandon and run back to the quest giver Orbaz Bloodbane inside the house and get the quest again.

Had a strange thing happen during this quest. While disguised, and apparently immune from attack, I used this as an opportunity to drop off the last of the crusader skulls at the cauldron for more of that "Noth's Special Brew". Completed the quest to get the brew, but lost my disguise, yet all the crusaders were still friendly. After a couple of moments, the disguise kicked in again.

One thing I never understood is that your disguise has the Scarlet tabard that you could obtain before Cataclysm. It's dirty and the edges are red, not to mention the flame symbol looks faded. This tabard signifies Mograine's and Whitemane's "evil" sub-faction of the Scarlet Crusade found in Scarlet Monastery.

The "good guys" Scarlet Crusade however wear clear white tabards with a bright red flame symbol, and gold edges.

Why the heck would they choose to give them the "corrupted" tabard and not the one that the actual Scarlet Crusade uses?

A Meeting With Fate

Orbaz Bloodbane has commanded you to deliver the Scarlet Courier's Message to High General Abbendis at King's Harbor.

	Scarlet Courier's Message (Provided) (1)

Description

This message must reach Abbendis. We do not want to draw their suspicion. They must continue under the assumption that everything is going as they planned.

You will don the Scarlet courier's clothes and with the help of some dark magic, take on the form of the courier.

Abbendis is at King's Harbor, southeast of the Scarlet Overlook. Drop off the message and get as much information out of her as you can. She will tell us what we need to know about the "Crimson Dawn."
