Inside the cave on the island, the entrance is located at 33,75 (there-abouts), the heart is in the back of the cave (behind the big bear), at approx. 33,78. Its on the floor.

One of the quest to recover the 4 vrykul artefacts. In order to get this quest, you must have finished "Scoodles".

You simply have to run at the end of the cavern in order to recover the Frozen Heart of Isuldof.

Once you have finish the 4 quests, Orfus gives you the final part of the quest chain : A Return to Resting.

Very easy to do at the same time as The Jig is Up, take the ramp upwards (rather than the tunnel out of the bear den) to get to the frozen heart. I actually completed the two quests at different times, it's easy to get down to the bear den without aggroing Jonah Sterling.

Not forgetting the lvl71 elite bear Hozzer on the path to the item at the back. But from reading here he does not aggro if you walk past. I used Invisibility before I read that :)

Killed Hoozer, the elite bear, for http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11471. When collecting that quest reward he spawned on the shelf below the Heart but was "asleep" and didn't aggro me.

He only woke up when the person after me did the same quest.

You have to attack the elite human there first, at 30%~ he will call the bear and then you just jump down & kill the bear.

Easily soloed as a 73 Death Knight (Frost Spec)

When I did this he ran into the bear pen at 30% and Hozzer ate him, it was rather amusing.

The big bear aggroes and doesn't lose aggro. He's immune to polymorph so I just kited and killed him quickly before looting the heart.

someone at wow must really have a thing for crap latley.. because there is a lot of it in the game.. quests and such and now fecal matter in caves...

me thinks its getting pretty crappy around here.

have you been to the Outhouse in Grizzly Hills yet that makes you grunt... I laughed MAO,
firs you accidently eat someones poop then you have a hard time getting it out

Well, I apparently did it the hard way... came in the top and aggro'd john 70 rogue in mostly merciless. I almost killed him when he jumps to full health and jumps in with Hozzer who then eats him.

Feeling a little sure of myself I jumped in and killed the bear too. Mainly stunlocks and an evasion pop. Assassination rogue.

Well I did it the easy way. I rolled a Ret Pally. I just went in at level 71, killed the rogue, killed the bear, picked up the item, ran back out at about 80% health with no heals. They are not much of an elite. Pretty easy.

To those that are doing JUST The Frozen Heart of Isuldof, come into the cave at 33.6, 75.7 and go straight ahead down the ramp. (You can easily DPS the Elite Mob in there, if you can't avoid aggro. (He runs at about half health and gets killed) ) Then you simply run straight ahead down the ramp/tunnel (ignore the Keep-style entrance to the left), go around the Elite Bear and pick up the quest objective.

Hi, I just soloed this part with a little bit of unluck, which spared time quite a bit. I entered the cave in 33,75 and killed the 71 elite several times until I found the bear. Then I tried to kill it with my whole arsenal dk 69 lv undead 100% unholy+master of ghouls.. and obviously i killed it though it did the same to me. When i came back as a ghost, I chose to return to life at the round hole above the table. So the bear was dead and I fetched the item.

I don't think that anyones mentioned yet the fact that when you enter the cave, "Mad" John Sterling ( level 70 elite ) is there to greet you.

I believe that the bear is asleep until someone tries to kill the elite ("Mad" Johan Sterling). After you get this guy down to half health, he runs off and awakens the bear. So basically, the bear is asleep if you are just in there to get the heart, but if you also are there for The jig is up quest, you need to go "through" both the elite pirate and the bear.

If you're level 70 or above, you can time to sneak around "Mad" John Sterling and be able to get into the back of the bear den without any fighting and recover the heart. Of course, if you wish to get your hands a bit bloody, the guy is easy, dunno about the bear though.

solo'd both the sterling, and the bear. 73 demon lock. didn't know about the bear, when he was at about 20% health he jumped down a slide, and died from my dots. I followed and fell on the bear. Felguard took the aggro while i drain tanked him to death.

This quest is quite funny . If u try to kill the elite and get him down on hp he will run down to the bear only to be killed by it ^^

Easy enough as a hunter... fought the mob at beginning till half health, he ran off and got killed by bear. I ran after him and the bear aggroed on me but Feign Death was good to me and the bear ran away, got the item, and then escaped without aggroing bear again.

Solo'ed as a level 72 paladin. All I did was run behind the guy go through the cave path get behind the bear I couldn't attack and stole the heart. Piece of cake. :P

If you can manage to sneak past Jonas, which is very easy to do, you can go to the back of the cave and walk right past (and even right through) Hozzer without waking him, and loot the heart which is at the top of a double switchbacked ramp. No fighting/killing/dying necessary.

Description

Some say Jonah was never quite right in the head, but I know the truth. It was the heart. That damned frozen heart! I saw the change in him the second he pulled it from the grave. I could see the blood freeze in his veins... It was then that the madness truly took over.

He left us to hole up in his cave on the north side of this island. Last I heard he had thrown the heart in the back of his bear den. Too little, too late...

I'll kill you myself if you even think about bringing that heart back here!
